I'm watching nedum onuoha saying that if was never "officially invited" to super eagles and all news was a mere speculation lol these guys really take us for a fool. Someone that declined vogts, largarback is saying that he was never invited to SE. The way all these new English boys like foden, Mount etc is playing, ebere will not even smell England 2nd team atleast for the next few years and by that time, his prime would had subsided. Few years later, the same Ebere will insist that Nigeria never invited or persuaded him to play for us |

Tamunotonye22: First of all, I'm a Chelsea fan. I respect lamps, sarri refused to sign a renewal because hazard (our best player) was leaving. Same reason that stopped zidane and Enrique from coming too (as they were free managers then). And all other top coaches. Lampard came up, took a juvenile team to top 4 and UCL qualification while under transfer ban. He didn't have the strategy and philosophy, but he had the idea of a perfect coach, put a respect on his name. I also have a problem with people who analyse Chelsea without proper knowledge, it's not serious though. Respect my nyash. If lampard was a black man with the same CV, there's no way he would had been given that Chelsea job with few years of experience. Yes, sarri and some high profile coaches allegedly refused Chelsea but that doesn't mean that Chelsea should had signed an inexperienced coach. There were still experienced proven coaches available |

These English coaches are just privileged because what evidence and result did lamlard achieved to even earn coaching Chelsea? For qualifying derby to The playoffs? If tuchel was Chelsea coach from the onset this season, Chelsea would had been a serious title contender |

Salah will win it if those two above fail to happen Mahrez will win if he scores and City wins no matter what others do. Ndidi and nacho has no chance of winning playing at leicester city when there is Salah - 20 epl goals, mahrez Epl winner. Let's stop being delusional here |

When we tell ndidi to sign for a big club, they will say that he is good at leicester. Now, the same Delusional people expect a sane organization to vote ndidi ahead of Salah 20 goals epl Hakimi Seria A winner Mahrez Epl, CC and possibly champions league winner
Even the likes of Mane, has more chances of winning than Ndidi. Hopefully, it will teach ndidi the importance of playing for a big club and he can consider signing for a big club that has chances of winning multiple trophies. Anything contrary, and ndidi will just be that "1 man see in the eyes of the blind" even the Ac milan Ivory coast Midfilder has more chances of winning APOY than ndidi |

Dannyxy: On which ground should a Salah or mane make top three African best and ndidi is not going to make it?
Ndidi is the best African player in my opinion right now, Salah is even ahead of Mahez, just few goals here and there, so many substitutes appearances, plays UEFA champions league semifinals and scores, then he should be made African best? How nau, above an ndidi that has been so consistent, plays regularly and performs.
If ndidi wins F.A cup he should be African best player, but as usual we like to underate our own and jump on anything foreign, in the name of "I am not sentimental "
Somebody even called mane, I love Mane to pieces, but how can mane be top 3 ahead of iheanacho, talkless of ndidi this season nau.. oga oh For one, he is playing at a small team |

The issue with osimehn sometimes is how he converts and score goals out of nothing but misses the very "easy chance" for example, his 1st goal today came out of nothing then dude goes and misses an open net "Free header" anyway, he hasn't justified the 90 mil price tag but considering the injuries and covid 19 sustained coupled with the fact that he has 8 goals (non penalties) we should expect a much better ROI next season if he improves on his weakness |

Karlovych: Bro, you don't need to argue with them. A 90s team that shocked the world and at some point were ranked the 5th best team on the FIFA ranking something it will take a long time for these current players to achieve, like one said he watched them on video cassettes and some clips from youtube so he is an expert. Reading comprehension is fundamental. No one said that the present super eagles is better than 1990's even though I think they have the potential to surpass 90's team. Our argument, is simply that ndidi and osimehn will make 1990's until present SE team. It stand valid |

Arabiandude: Some of our past players we are praising to high heaven's today, if they were playing in this generation and with the stats they had then mostly for their club sides, there is no way most of them would have been invited to the SE. I just checked Aghahowa stats, even when he was proclaimed hot at shahktar Donesk, he scored only 40+ goals in 7 seasons with them and scored none when he played about 20 games for Wigan. Aghahowa have about 50 goals in his club career playing in Europe that spanned more than 10 years.
Even the stats martins had then, there is no way he would have been a starter in this current SE, he will be invited to this current SE simply because of his talent, not because he is worth it with his goalscoring prowess. The only striker whose stats will still stand tall today is Yakubu.
So going by club stats, Osimhen will start in the SE from 2000 to now. Iheanacho, Simy, Moffi and Onuachu will make all the teams...club stats wise Not just 2000 but from the 1990's upward. You should listen to someone that has been watching super eagles since the 1990's |

forgiveness: Yekini scored 14 goals in 10 matches minus assists.
How about that?
A one legged Martins scored the winning goal that qualified Nigeria to the 2010 World Cup.
Aghawonder as you say was reliable striker to deliver in a match. We saw how he contributed to get to the 2000 AFCON finals. Yekini was a legend |

Karlovych: So did Bright Dike, he scored 1 goal in 2 games for the SE, using your metrics he would have been a starter in the 90s for the SE. Stop being ridiculous, the likes of Obagoal and even Ike Uche were exceptional in the SE colours but it will be ignorant of someone to say that they would have been starters for the SE in the 90s. What was his overall contribution to super eagles in that short period of time? How many assist, Chances did he create? I am not even using only osimehn goals but his overall contribution and this is someone that's genuinely young, just starting his career imagine he gives SE 10 years going by his trajectory |
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by 12large1: 6:22am On Apr 30, 2021 |
Karlovych: I did not compare Ekoku with Osimhen, I merely pointed out the fact that a lot of Strikers were doing well in Europe in the 90s but still couldn't displace Yekini in the SE. Players like Akpoborie were banging in goals for their clubside but still couldn't cut it with Yekini in that era. Besides I don't get the essence of these stupid comparisons, who will you guys compare next, that Chukwueze would start ahead of Finidi? Their club performance in this situation is simply irrelevant and I'm judging based on their Super Eagles performance after 10 games as a trajectory for their future performances. I have been watching Super Eagles since the 1990's and after 10 games the best striker thus far is Osimehn with a record of 5 goals and 5 assist in 10. 1/2 record and also his overall contributions. Using that metrics, it's fair to say that osimehn will make any super eagles team from the 1990's upward until today and his career is just getting started. The likes of obagoal, Aghawonder were goal scorers in their early games for SE but their overall contribution wasn't significant as osimehn. |
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by 12large1: 6:03am On Apr 30, 2021 |
Karlovych: Imagine, Even Ekoku that was banging in goals in the EPL was a bench warmer in the SE. He can only convince those born after 2003 with such assertions. The 90s squad was one of the strongest SE squads and they would have achieved a lot more had it not been for Sani Abacha's madness I see where people are getting things wrong. They're using a player performances for his club to rate his value for his country even though some players perform extremely good at their club and flop at their country. For example, the likes efan, okuwobiri that you guys are comparing to osimhen Flopped at SE and excelled at their clubside. |

jihday: Both were not good enough but they made the team that means osimhen would definitely play, He would not only play, but he would start. I have already told you guys that osimehn and Ndidi will start in any Nigerian team from 1994 until today. Take it from someone that's been watching Nigeria football since the 90's and has been slightly critical of Osimhen unjustifying his transfer fee |

Anyway, There are multiple formations that you can utilize and maximize your best 11 at the same time. |

My man, he will not. Owobokiri with 30 goals didn’t make the team. How much more Osimhen.
Who e wan bench?
Oliseh played for big clubs and also did well in the national team. When I speak my mind now people will say that I have childhood issues. It seems like people don't do their research or even watch players before commenting. Owobokiri that scored 1 goal in 23 games for Nigeria is who you're using as an example in regards to Osimehn??
