Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Consulting Capable Test Format Please by 1forall: 7:41pm On Nov 29, 2006
Hello all, I got the IV too and Ive read of many people on nairaland who also got it. I suggest we all who have received invitations reply to the sending address with copies of our IVs asking for more information about the whole thing because I dont think there should be secrecy since theyre inviting so many people.

Thats how we received IVs from Intercontinental and the test ended a disaster. Did u hear of the ecobank test lately too? I live in Lagos and the thought of going all the way to abuja for a test being held by a company that refuses to give more information is not comforting. At least Intercontinental had centers over the country. I asked someone I know who says his house is not far from Garki and he doesnt know what/where GSS is so, lets act like the smart graduates we are and ask for information. Its our right!

They sound genuine and so they shouldnt resist giving more info if they have nothing to hide, Abuja is far o!

Education › Re: Do I Tear My 2.2 And Forge A First Class Degree? by 1forall: 5:42pm On Nov 29, 2006
I like the title of this thread. Please don't tear your certificates by any means. Forgery is also not an acceptable or excusable skill. You can't end wrong if you keep doing the right thing. Im job fishing as well. And pray. Funny title though.
Christianity Etc › Re: Why Is Christian Dating So Difficult? by 1forall: 4:58pm On Nov 29, 2006
Hi y'all, I notice some heavy posters come in on this topic, interesting. More than enough's been said about this christian dating (if any such exists) in this thread, I agree with the few recent posts. Like He said "he that has ears let him hear"

Business › Got Any Sane Business Ideas Anyone? by 1forall(op): 1:10pm On Nov 24, 2006
Hello,
I'm seeking genuine, sane business ideas to present to a willing financier and Id like to hear a few smart opinions from the mass of intelligent people who use this portal. I have a couple myself but I know more heads are always better than less. Pease note the capital base is not unlimited and that viable business usually starts small. It could be entrepreneural or service oriented (or anything else, lets just hear it first)
If it sounds good we sure can continue discussion by email.
Cheers folks.

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Maersk Test by 1forall: 6:53pm On Oct 28, 2006
Hi henryphyol, the maersk test I did a while ago was in 4 parts, 2 are just to figure out how u think and would not really contribute to your score, seemed to me more like behavioral analysis, but the other two are proper aptitude tests; some math, those silly diagrams and a little reading comprehension. Its not difficult but the time is short so practice to improve your speed. If I remember correctly its 2 sections of 20 questions in 12 mins each.
Good luck!

Jobs/Vacancies › Jobs, jobs, jobs! by 1forall(op):
Why are emloyers so secretive about job vacancies? Before we see them on the pages of newspapers theyve already been publicised to friends and family for a while and applications are already with them.

Organizations even publish vacancies when they already know who they are considering for the positions - just to fulfil recruitment procedures.

Job seekers have been so broken that when asked for their expected wage they can say 'anything'!

There are always available jobs in this country, everywhere! But the way they are hoarded and spread has created an artificial scarcity, and we all complain there are no jobs, even though people get appointment letters everyday!

Nigerians travel outside their country and get jobs even without proper immigration papers but its a struggle to achieve same in their country of bonafide citizenship!

What manner of nation has no defined plan for its youth? And what manner of country creates no such plan when it identifies that it has problems in that area? What manner of nation gives employment preference to foreigners when competing side by side with its own citizens?

Where in the civilized world have we heard of young men and women unemployed for several months, years because they 'simply' can't find? Keep in mind theyre not receiving unemployment benefits.

In summary, why are we Nigerians generally so selfish?
