Mcy56: Yes. Afriprud can frustrate customers. They always ask for Sig specimen. It got to a point my broker threatened to copy SEC in our correspondences, then they quickly did the needful. The only thing is that they have quite some good coys in their care. First bank, Meristem and one other one I can't remember now did very well. No long stories. Just filled the forms, sent to them via mail and that was it.
*PLS NOTE* @ositadima1 and any other newbie who's not yet aware, once your e-dividend forms are approved, my bosses always advice that you don't sell all the stocks, always leave like 10 -100 units in your trading acct, so your name will continue to be in their register. I need some help. If I have submitted an e-div mandate for company AAA shares I purchased through broker ABC, do I need to submit a new mandate if I'm buying same company AAA stocks through another broker DEF? Same CHN, same bank details. Just a different broker? I'm asking for those of us that were with analog brokers and now have accounts with digital brokers and want to increase our holdings on currently held stocks via the new brokers. Thanks |

OakPearl: Keeping it simple, say you bought at $500.00/share; you decide there and then that all you need is $100/share gain on this stock. It hits $600.00/share and you sell without regretting if it moves to $750 after you have sold.
That's your exit plan executed. That calls for discipline. The avoidance of greed. |

Mcy56: Unilever is not for someone looking for quick gain. Yes, it's been somehow static at 10.50 after moving from 9+ to that spot. Deep pockets will reason it's matter when it's time. Anyone with better info should pls come up with it as well.
Caveat: Pls note that this is purely my opinion. Not an advert either. Noted. Thanks. |

Mcy56: Good you made the right call. As for small units to pick, though you didnt ask me, but I for say you may pick Unilever or MTN or fcmb if it goes back 1.50 region...... let me cross check the other one again first Unilever has refused to shake body. Or is it me that I'm not seeing the price movements. It's been at 10.50 for a while. |

Dsticks47: DMA means Direct Market Access. It enable your mandate gets to the NSE floor without the intervention of a broker. Thanks for that clarification. Is it a special request and what are the requirements. |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by 1kinggy(m): 10:22am On Apr 14, 2020 |
Dsticks47: You can cancel a mandate during trading hours, if you are DMA enabled, you can cancel on your own.
However, you will have to be sure of your mandate before sending a request as you might not be able to cancel if it has been picked already.
Note! Not all clients are profiles for DM.
DMA can be profiled for a client based on his/her request.
And Yes you can also buy immediately after sales as well. Kindly throw more lights on DMA . |

Effort in futility.
Even if you close all their offices, it doesn't stop them from flying to and fro Rivers State.
In a world where transactions are now completed online, who walks into the office.
I don't even know the office of any airline in the entire world. I don't think Caverton buses any facility browned by Rivers state or any of their struggling LGs. |

There are Many entrances to a market.
You can buy 1million units of a company that has consistently paid a div or ₦2+
You can do 2*500,000 units of such to split the exposure.
You can do 1M units of ₦1+ div, and 250k units of the two above. |

However, we need it to come lower so we can partake again, it will also be an opportunity for u to also increase you stake! I cashed out at 54% taking out my total investment. The units being held is now my profit but I still don't want it eroded. |

freeman67: Good morning to all the Ogas/madams here,
Please help a brother out. I am finding it difficult to process my e-devidend mandate for Datamax Registrars. They no longer have annex office in Abuja where I work. I was in GT branch where they used to be and was given a phone no to contact them.
I called the number and their representative told me that I can only do that through my broker. I contacted my broker and they told me that I am supposed to do that on my own either through my bank or directly with the registrar and that if I want them to do it on my behalf I would be charged for it. The charge though I haven't asked for but would say it will not be a problem if it is not much.
However, what seem to be a problem is a form sent to me as signature specimen form. It has transfer of shares clearly written on it and that is not my intention. I called the CCare rep attention to it and she is still insisting that it is a signature specimen form.
I would have tried it through my bank again but I don't want to waste more time and passports. The ones I tried with them for GTL and cornerstone did work out well, I only got acknowledgement text from NIBSS, birthday text and festivities greetings from the concerned registrars. Glaxosmith is still owing me some tasere dividend even after my efforts with GTL through my bank..
I leave in Niger State right now and work in Abuja. Is there an easy way I can do this? Did anyone fill this with his or her broker here? DataMax is a pain in the wrong place. Since they switched to e-div, I've not received any GTB dividend. Unfortunately, the broker I used then has gone out of business. I'm waiting for a good window to go to CSCS for biometrics then I can migrate my portfolio to my current broker. |

kintus: Please does Morgan Capital have an official application?
Also, is the CSCS number obtained from Chaka valid for Morgan Capital account? I think their web portal is more robust. So far the CHN is in your name, you can reuse it with ant stockbroker. CSCS will be happy to know exactly which shares you hold. |
