Good evening everyone. Please I need your advice.

My husband has been keeping malice with me because I don't pray regularly again (we're Muslims) and he's threatening to divorce me (we only did court wedding and yet to do Nikkah).

He's eats my food but doesn't talk to me. This has been going on for over a year now and it's getting worse. Can I tell his parents? They are strong Muslims and I'm afraid they may blame me more. He also doesn't give me money anymore. I'm tired of his stinginess and he's very insensitive. He believes I'm a devil since I don't pray even though things have changed for the better for him since we met.

He also doesn't believe I can get a husband since I'm close to 35. Please, I'm confused. I don't know what to do.

Trying to upgrade your HND to a BSc is self-deceit and falling for exploitation.
If you'd do anything, pursue a higher degree or professional cert in your field.
Don't waste your time and/or money on any upgrade.
By the time you're done, you'd see the futility.
I'd rather recommend you take a complementary degree if you really want a BSC but not a BSc in the same course you have your HND.

You will not regret studying engineering so far you do the following.
1. Develop very deep interest in Mathematics.
2. Make sure you master this course 'TECHNICAL DRAWING' or Engineering Drawing. Go extra miles to study the course and understand every bit of it.
2. When you are taking courses like Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Heat and Mass Transfer, Strength of Materials, etc, ensure you don't miss lectures. Go online to know more about them. Do not depend only on what you learn from lecturers.
3. Do not play with your assignment. I mean try to do your assignment yourself.
4. For Engineering Design courses, learn to be creative, work with your fellow students and try to initiate ideas.
5. Engineering is 60% practical. While in school, make use of every opportunity to experience practical application. Visit mechanic workshops, building sites, blacksmith, furniture workshop, oil rig, panel beating workshop, etc.
6. Ensure you make good use of your SIWES time.
7. Meet with experienced engineers and learn from them.
8. Graduate with 2.1 minimum.

No regrets, I actually enjoyed it (I still enjoy it, it is all I've got) and graduated top of my department.

Yes, the only regret I've got is, I studied it in a polytechnic and I can't get my dream job, due to the lingering problem of dichotomy.

Don't let the dichotomy weigh you down, there are some exclusive jobs for HND holders. And after a while, employers don't look at your first degree anymore but your competencies and track record,

I studied mechanical engineering and I have over 10 years experience.

Before I decided on engineering, I considered medicine, industrial design and architecture, even law. I looked at myself and my skills and looked for a course that will bridge them all, engineering did it for me. I am a hands-on person. I love to make and fix things.

Initially, some engineering jobs won't give you the money you dreamt about but when you gain competencies, you can leverage them for better paying jobs.
