@ Alajiki, why do you have part with your salary to pay interest to TD customers. I do fixed deposit and I have never paid a dime of my salary to my customers. How does it work in your bank? |

I work with Union Bank. Your pay is not reduced after confirmation. It is only restructured, such that your monthly pay drops, but you get the differential as lump sums(housing and leave allowance) @ lockheed, I pray God helps you to choose the best job for you. |

I lost a teaching job with Ogun state government in 2011, after working for three months without pay. Sincerely I thought it was the end of the world. I was down for almost four months, and then, I dusted my cv again. The best way to get over a job loss is to start searching for another one immediately, or to start a business if you have good savings. If you are starting a business however, do your homework very well so that you don't lose all you've saved! |

My father did not help me get a job, and I don't think I should become an enterpreneur because I am scared my children won't get jobs. If there are one billion graduates by then, the very best of them will still get good jobs. |

herbdull: taking loans as a banker is a strategic plan, it protects you from been sack. So most bankers tends to use such strategy to get tied to the bank. 2.5M guess you got appointed as the MD.I totally disagree. If you are on loan and you are laid off, the bank will simply deduct your loan from your payoff benefits. And mind you, there is a limit to the amount you can collect depending on your level. 2.5m is for entry level. 1 Like |

tunlex01: We are talking abt access bank aπϑ their outrageous recruitment process aπϑ not a banker getting loan in a bank..Well, the discussion veered off the topic, and a lot of issues were brought up by people. Methinks they just want to see your fighting spirit. If I was faced with such a situation, I would do my best and give them whatever amount I could raise. I don't think they would sack anyone for not meeting the so called target. It is the weak ones who will run away from the job. I don't work with Access bank though, so I don't know how they do their thing. |

Very funny posts by people. I almost turned down a 2.5m per annum bank job last year because of negative and envy-driven posts by people. Thank God I am in the bank now and I am enjoying the job. It is not as stressful as people say. You are not forced to take loans. If you are heavily indebted as a banker, it is your choice. |

Go for GTBank. Banking is sweet if you are hardworking. If you are the lazy type, pls stay away from banking. Job security does not exist anywhere. It is a mirage. Even the so called enterpreneurs have no job security because a single bad deal could fold up a business. 1 Like |
