liberalchick: Typical, everything on NL turns into a tribal war, even a post about beaches. As I said before that is your personal opinion, you don’t speak for ALL the indigenous Lagosians.
Are the beaches even developed enough for locals to enjoy it? Get it to that level first, before you start moaning about non existent tourists crowding your beaches. Advise tour state and village first to sell their waterfront to tourists. Everything you people will just sell. Not everything is for sale. We don’t want your tourist Naira. Take it to your hometown. Why are you getting defensive? I speak as an indigenous Lagosian to you. I can talk about my village and state better than you. You can go to your village and make those comments. The families that own these beaches make far more money than if they sold their beach already. We don’t need tourist Naira that will make our boys and girls prostitutes to perverts and our villagers being asked what they are doing on their own ancestral land. Get away from my comments! |

liberalchick: lol I am sure you don’t speak for every indigenous Lagosians. Especially does that will make money from tourist Naira. Well. We obviously don’t buy into your greed so it has not happened. Go and look at tourist countries and see how locals can’t even afford to enjoy the beach. You can go to your village and sell the riverfront t to tourists. |

1Sharon: Why did it get taken over? Has it been renamed? By water. The beach front used to be as long as Elegushi. Now they had to put the rocks there to stop the water. Bar beach always had strong and high tide while Eleko was the calmer beach. So it was only a matter of time before the water takes over the beach. |

liberalchick: Huh?? So Nigerians don’t love the beach? With the population in Lagos, I am sure lots of money can still be generated. Our resources are underutilized. Have we even developed it enough for Nigerians to spend their money here before we talk of foreigners? We indigenous Lagosians like our beach as it is. Thank you. |

Sanwoolu needs to start thinking about his decisions. He seems to jump from idea to idea so fast. There are many lagosians looking for this opportunity. Enter partnership with them as opposed to inviting someone else who will take the money out of the country. Let us think of local solutions first. |

I remember when it was just Bar beach and Eleko. Bar beach was usually so crowded and for a more quiet time you drive hours to Eleko. Now Bar Beach has been almost totally taken over. Sad |

liberalchick: The coastlines in Lagos are so untapped. There is a stretch of untapped coastline along Satellite town that leads to Benin Republic. I once went to a private beach there, it’s accessible by boat. I can’t remember the name.
So much money left on the table. Which money left on the table. You want us to sell our beaches to foreigners ehn? So that they can be asking is what we are coming to do on our beach. Just go the beach, enjoy and go back home. Or tell your village head to sell all their assets to foreigners |

Snails: stupid and senseless lawmakers. is it not this same El rufai with his mouth said the teachers in kaduna state are not up-to standard? if he hadn't heed to the lecturers advice why would he recondult employment examination for teachers in kaduna state? instead of the foolish lawmaker to ask him how he will go about improving what he criticized if given the opportunity and he's there trying to remind us all that they don't really care about making policies, but just to loot money. I don’t even agree with El-Rufai on a lot of things but this your comment is quite ridiculous. You think being a teacher is something an unqualified person should do. Just because you want everyone to get paid? Is something wrong with you? Teaching is a career where desperate and unqualified should never be found. It’s as important as doctors. Will you want an unqualified person teaching your child? This is why education is so bad around this country. Your useless sentiments are the cause of the rot in the education sector in the north. You probably think like this because you had unqualified teachers too. You support bad things when the government is trying to help the future of the state. I am sure you are afraid because you cannot pass the qualification exam. Olodo. |

GEJ you had time to implement it but you were waiting for re-election and you did not want to take away from your northern votes. You were selfish, corrupt, desperate and self serving. I am sure you learned a bitter lesson. Always do what is right. Just like Yoruba’s. They will chop your money but will do what they feel is right. |

I don’t think this CJN should be confirmed. The CJN can be used to upturn and change laws like the land use act. We need someone from another tribe as CJN to check Buhari. Buhari is getting out of control. Also the Army heads must be diversified. Buhari has shown that he puts sentiment before logic and interest of the country. |

delpee: She should be allowed to see her child. That could lift her up spiritually and emotionally to aid her healing process. When she recovers fully, she can ask for custody. A child under 6 is usually expected to be with the mother.
May God grant her total healing. I checked the family on Facebook and the child’s mother has a mother and sisters. The husband’s family has no right or reason to steal that baby girl |

SyNnadi: the couple is a very close friend of mine. The issues the family of the late husband claimed they are having with the wife can not even be made clear. She has been treated badly ( some one they once praised up and down even on the social media) suddenly this hatred just crept up even to the extent that non of the late husband's family even checked on her while in d hospital, even till now. All medical expenses right from the surgeries to the weekly dressing was all financed by the wife's family and some support from the late husband's friends not even a dine was brought by the in-laws either did they ask after her well being. Heaven is my witness. On the day of the funeral, January 12th 2019, the daughter was forcefully taken from the wife's younger siblings at the mortuary . sine then the mother has not set eyes on her 2year old daughter. Several meetings have been held where the wife's family had to go to the in-laws house to resolve the matter but it ended not productive. As the in-laws claimed that the baby is their property . sincerely that lady is trying holding up. Did the late husband have money? The only time when Nigerian in-laws are this proactive is when money and property is involved. If they were poor, no extended family will think about taking the child. I cannot even drop my child anyhow these days with all the rape stories not to talk of someone kidnapping my child. Haaa! I go craze o The child belongs with her parents. Not any pretentious relative. |
