This is typical of our FG, trying to fly before learning to crawl. Talking about rail networks and intra city trains without even achieving a stable power grid. This is actually a very dangerous proposal that can lead to numerous accidents and deaths. What happens if the signals that guide these trains fail due to a lack of power?what of the train networks traffic control center, who will man it? Are they assured power without interruption? Is our communications infrastructure strong enough to support such a large operation? Will the Chinese company be held to high standards of workmanship or are they just gonna do it on the cheap? Who is going to maintain this rail network and how? I'm not just talking about putting s*** down on paper as usual but actually getting it done, Frankly I think the FG should rethink this plan and reorganize their priorities. Doing a project like this the "Nija Way" is a public Hazard of epic proportions
hahahahahahha! This guy has decoded the whole levels. Chei! See wahala for FG looting possibilities and elephant projects. grin cool

I wonder what the Code of Conduct Bureau has to say about Salami. Abegi, Code of Conducting Fraud and Corruptions. aka, hound dogs of PDP. Make we dey look na. SO they can set date for Tinubu for September 21, but they cannot set such an expedient date for Salami. hahahahaha, such obvious rubbish. The SW will kick PDP out, over and over and over and over and over and over. PDP is a rotting corpse.

The Clean Nigeria Campaign (CNC) has again called on President Goodluck Jonathan to openly and urgently declare his assets.

In a statement issued today by its National Coordinator, Osita Okechukwu, the CNC asked Jonathan also to compel his Ministers and Special Advisers, as well as the “power mongers of the National Assembly” to do same.

“Open Declaration of Asset to us will be the sign-post for devotion to the war against corruption; for with the monumental corruption going-on under the watch of President Jonathan, the Economic Team to be headed by erstwhile managing director of World Bank, Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala will be dead on arrival,” it said.

I wonder if the Code of Coduct Bureau suffered a coma through all of this. Abeg, make we see road. Arrant nonsense

The Code of Conduct Bureau does not have to want to be seen as credible agency. WE ALL OUGHT TO BE OUT THERE URGING it to INVESTIGATE EVERY LAST ONE OF THESE M***F**KERS for petes Sake! But because we are so divided . . . .  so many of us are terrified that if we step out, we will probably be taken down, not by the politicians themselves but our neighbors who admire these same thieves, and are willing to cut down the next man for them.

If not that, why would a bunch of idiots like many of these wield so much power against us ooo, those who elected them in the first place?
Kobojunkie:
I say BULL!! It shouldn't matter what side of this has more criminals than the other. That should not be the concern of YOU or I in this. What we ought to be more concerned with is getting EACH AND EVERYONE OF THEM regardless of their cult of choice, facing the music for crimes commited AGAINST US.

All this MY SIDE/THERE SIDE nonsense, is just that, NONSENSE, at the end of the day. We, the Nigerian people continue living as VICTIMS in our own country, no matter what side of this pretends to win or loose. That should be the BIGGER ISSUE to you, and to me. Full Stop!
This is Nigeria where cherry picking has been made the order of the day because you and others like you, INDULGE in it as well.
Again, this is Nigeria where Cherry picking has become the order of the day. It is allowed because the PEOPLE, in sycophantic way, have endorsed the act of choosing sides, especially when Justice is concerned. So forgive me if your argument above makes little sense to me in this, as all I see is the agency continue the ALLOWED culture, a culture made strong by sycophantic Nigerians who number in the majority.
You are a big ball of contradicting statements. We know that you are still miffed about CPC not winning the elections and am sure Tinubu is partially to blame. Look, until the cherry picking stops then we can go after everyone. Before that, am sorry this is going to be impossible. They should instead just open a can of worms on everyone including your Buhari. No one is a saint in Nigeria. You also have your stake in Tinubu's prosecution that is why you are excited, but the fact remains that the SW has spoken. They said NO to PDP and CPC. I have never joined others in saying this but you will force me today; "Buhari lost, let him deal with it. If he has a case let him pursue it in court." This is because you are not being objective and are double mouthed with your comments. I will say it again, Code of Conduct Bureau and other sycophants angry at the upset by the SW should take their frustration elsewhere if they are not ready to run a transparent organization. The SW has hardly participated in this government anyway, i wonder why they are still huffing and puffing, all the money nor reach. Abeg, clear road jare make we see. shior

Lol! You surely don't know the law.
Surely you dont know the law. The president is not above the law, and should adhere to the constitution. Since the Code of COnduct Bureau is blowing big grammar here about adhering to the constitution, then they better do their job clearly. The president is the head of the PDP party, so he better come correct before he goes after the head of an opposition party. We know the yeye that PDP has turned EFCC and ICPC into in this country. So make everybody go rest. What a shame, after 100 days, no declaration of assets. If the elader doesnt set the pace, why should an ex-governor who had interests in America before becoming governor? undecided. Sounds like a lot of bulls*hit.

We all know why they are going after Tinubu, the fact remains that PDP has waaay more people that the Code of Conduct Bureau can go after otherwise it is a waste of time. There is no space for cherry picking. My question again, Why have they refused to go after the president for not declaring assets? If they know they are going to cherry pick, then they should not bother with this case. You will not use a supposedly independent organization as a hound dog against opposition parties that is very wrong. When PDP members are being shielded? Give me a break. The fact remains that it will continue to be that way until PDP (life party), decides to let these bodies be really independent. PDP should forget its aspirations in the SW, it is clear that they are not wanted.

before people start screaming one yeye sycophancy. The fact remains that if the Code of Conduct Bureau wants to be seen as credible then others should also be brought to book otherwise they are just chasing shadows. How can a president of a country not declare his assets till date, and the Code of Conduct bureau that we believe should be independent would go after someone else. Abegi, spurious rubbish. They are going to open a can of worms because none of the politicians holy pass. I am not a supporter of Tinubu, but the fact remains that he should not be hounded and some others become sacred cows. If you want to do a proper job, start from the president and his wife otherwise dont waste our time.

But the fact remains that he had been operating those accounts before he was in office. This is someone that once lived in America. ALso, our venerable president has refused to declare his assets. What is the Code of Conduct Bureau doing about this?

Can they prove when these accounts were opened? And if they were opened after his time in office, then this is a waste of time and resources. He has companies to prove his wealth, so these are unfounded claims by some people with too much time on their hands.

The so called ambassador vomited what he "heard" from city gossip but cleverly refused to vomit something about Atiku because Atiku is so clean that Jesus called him a man after His own heart. This is a very good move for the poor pupils who cannot afford basic clothing items. At least they did something to help. The price of these sandals also show that they were not exporting cheap and second hand material just for publicity. These people mean business. I think they should set up scholarship funds too for university graduates, so that their poor but brilliant indigenes can have opportunities where it is lacking. Maybe a study abroad scholarship providing the person signs an undertaking to come back and work for the Ekiti government to improve the state. This will work as long as parasites like PDP members are not allowed to return, which i doubt. Good move all the same.
Politics › Re: Okonju Iweala Responds To Wikileaks Scandal by 2mch(m): 11:51pm On Sep 10, 2011
This response was very unnecessary. Any government official can oil farida's pocket and investigations will suddenly become unfounded. I believe Wikileaks because the American government has spies in every sector of every country. They have files on every country and their source of power is information. Not weapons or technology. America, China, and Russia are the biggest spy countries in the world, and guess what? They are power brokers. Information is key, you can build and destroy. Wikileaks was classified information and was never to be made public. Nigerian government are so concerned about stealing that they neglect national security. Foreign governments having this kind of information on politicians in a country is very deadly. The foreign governments use this knowledge to blackmail corrupt politicians into doing their bidding's. Imagine Shell's power on these corrupt politicians based on what they know. She has been exposed, she should just keep it moving and not try to justify. As for "Jon-Jon", how is any Nigerian not from her immediate family or immediate working environment supposed to know her brother's pet name? huh.

Members and security forces of the regime of the ousted Libyan leader, Muammar Gaddafi, may have crossed over to some parts of Northern Nigeria.

The Spanish-owned Hamada Radio International reported on Friday that the Libyans were fleeing from French Special Forces Foreign Legion and their British counterparts.

The report said that some members of the old Libyan regime were heading towards Burkina Faso.

According to the staion, the Libyans entered Nigeria on Thursday night when their convoy of trucks missed their way and headed towards the North-West town of Katsina.

There was a series of security co-coordinating conferences between Nigeria and Niger on how to check a spill-over of the Libyan crisis into the region, especially with the new wave of trans-border crossing by prominent Gaddafi loyalists, including Gen. Houssa Daw, the head of his presidential guard unit.

The report added that some members of the Libyan military, such as the head of Gaddafi’s security service, Gen. Youssef Dbiri, had maintained close family ties with Northern Nigeria.

Dbiri, the report claimed, had his maternal roots in Nguru, Yobe State in North-East Nigeria.

The report said, “According to security service sources in Niger Republic, the fragile ceasefire between the Touareg rebels and Niamey will be tested in the coming weeks if attempts are made to give outright support to the Special Forces from France, UK, USA and Jordan in the Gaddafi hunt.

‘‘Another fear is the solidarity and sympathy, which the fleeing Gaddafi supporters might get from Southern Niger, in the Maradi-Damagaran area, and the outer fringes of Northern Nigeria where al-Qaeda affiliated Boko Haram is lately seen as potent forces,” the report added.

The station further claimed that its sources had stated that more than 200 Nigerians were arrested in Libya by the Transitional National Council, while about 20 of them were executed last week for allegedly working for Gaddafi as mercenaries.

Education has been free in Lagos for a while now. This is why a lot of people from all over the country moved to Lagos to get free education for their children. I dont doubt it because Nigerian's will not have this kind of opportunity and not use it. I even know a lot of Yoruba's in Cotonou that send their kids to stay with relatives as helps so that these children can get the free education in exchange.
