Obiagu1:Nope, they are Yoruba's. Sorry. And it is Olukumi. Not olukwumi. They dont just become Igbo's by magic. Cut their part out, and let the others who are Igbo's form a state. They can stay with Itsekiri in delta. |
bellten:Are you Olukumi? It is Olukumi, this is how Igbo's change things small small, until they absorb the poor people. There has always been historical accounts of Olukumi people in delta state. Dont change history. Just curious, are you from the area? Because you sound like someone battling with a bit of an identity crises. ![]() |
bellten: bellten:Stay one place. What is your conclusion. |
bellten:Ever heard of Migration? How did Igbo people get to Anioma? . Did they come up from the ground? How did the Igala's also get there? |
warebe:Seems like a fair enough judge, except he has given up and followed the money . So what about the 2011 elections? Are they still fighting over 2007? ![]() |
N99.5 trillion embezzled every year. . . Most of the food we see are locally made and sold. Except we are paying for supermarkets and big food (nestle etc) name brand sales agents to import the food they are supposed to sell. This country is in desperate need of an audit. |
bellten:Much better . Because before we know what is happening, Igbo's will run away with our Olukumi kins men when it is time to divide. Let us draw the line very well. |
Kindly go to the other sites if you cant stand the heat. All this insults on NL was started by EzeUche, it will take a while to quench the fire. I pity you ![]() |
bashr4:I am Lagosian, and we are the most educated group in the country. Trust me on that. Everyone i know family and extended have PhD's. As far back as my great grand father was educated and my family has never lacked for so many generations. So i dont know what you are talking about? So what if there are miscreants? Do you want me to pull up the thread about Igbo Almajiri? Not everyone likes to sit down and sing their praises of first generation people that have just seen the four walls of a classroom. Next time you pull out your guns, know your aim. Read the thread well before you come and fight. |

If you tell people your business, they will be in it. If you learn to keep your mouth shut, no one will know your business. ![]() |
Ngodigha: Population censoring machinebashr4:Oh you never die yet or come out. Abeg gerrout@! I dont have time for childish, sensitive, brats on this NL that cannot comprehend but jump to conclusions. If you take the time to read a little you will come across as someone with a brain. Nkuku ko, guguru ni. Back to sender and all your ancestors and generations. Stark illiterate. ![]() |
bashr4:Look here, you are a liar. thank you. now come back with your chyz signature and stop running around like the fahanraja you are. |
bellten:Not Igbo, Ugbo; which is Ilaje. It is obvious some of them adapted to land and may have migrated. But they are Ilaje people. They have always been the Yoruba part known as the Ugbo. Igbo may be a corruption of that word. |
bashr4:Mpama is not Yoruba, hahaha. Wetin concern Mpama and Yoruba? Look maine i dont give a F* doesnt change the fact that Igbo = weed, bush, jungle, boils, nuisance, unwanted element. . If you like make your veins explode. Senseless coming to defend something that was not an issue and i was responding to the link Belten posted. Yoruba is a hausa word, and means absolutely nothing in Igbo. I have asked my Igbo friend. Get a life and stop trolling NL before your die of hypertension chyz.
spell it as igbo thats all, respect the word no one cares what it means in yoruba, i hope u know igbo is igbo igbo bu igbo and not yoruba
Did i spell it is Ibo? ![]() |
bashr4:You need to grow up and stop with your inferiority complex. Internet warrior. Do i give a crap what Yoruba means in Igbo? Yoruba is not a Yoruba word. But Igbo is. It means weed, as in bush, jungle, weeds, etc ![]() |
bashr4:The biafran link Belten sent me says they are Ebo from Benin. see this one, who cares. Igbo means weed in Yoruba, the way it is pronounced by you all. Ibo actually is not insulting in Yoruba. But Igbo is. . So pick your poison. |
bellten:I no talk am? He has come with the Ugbo corner. haha! Look maine, Ugbo people are Ilaje, so those people are most likely ilaje and the rest of Igbo land. Igbo may actually be a corruption of Ugbo. But moremi met Ilaje people. They are sea faring people, we dont know how they migrated as you can imagine it would be hard to track people with this lifestyle. But it is possible that they may constitute a large group of Igboland, because they are known to have at minimum 10 children on those their water huts. Would not take too many generations for a population explosion and a new ethnic group would be born. |
olukumi leader talks Reacting to efforts aimed at protecting Oluku mi, Prince Adebowale said, "I am an Oluku mi man and I am proud of my language. I am not happy that Igbo language is interfering with our language. We are trying our best to correct the situation and part of that is what my brother (the Oloza) is doing by organising an Oluku mi reciting competition. We want to know the people who can speak the real Oluku mi without mixing it with Igbo or English." As laudable as the task of protecting Oluku mi by the people of Ugbodu(mila) is, only time will tell how far they can go. http://www.aka-ikenga.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
GBAM!!! No wonder some Igbo's were fighting sometime ago that they are the Ugbo's moremi met. I am sure a lot of them had heard about the Ugbo land in delta state but did not understand how it was in Igboland and does not relate to the moremi story. The forget that people migrate.lol. Confused guys. That is why they cant point to what an IGBO man really is. IGBO is just a compilation of different ethnic groups with a common language. Yoruba, benin e.t.c. And they have the mouth to insult their father's ancestors on this NL. ![]() |
bellten:http://obamaandpeace..com/2010/03/oduduwa-and-yoruba-revolution-in-world.html I also have my link in response to the one you posted. Shows a big part of Igbo land is historically Yoruba. . Not only Biafran people have history rewriting capabilities. |
All it says is that Igbo's are Ebo from benin. Mind you ebo means sacrifice in Yoruba. What does it mean in Benin. Could it be Igbo's as a group ran away from Yoruba's and Yoruba land to avoid being sacrificed? And Igboland is one big group of people supposed to be used as Ebo? bellten:
This will be my last reply to you----- The article proves my point even more, smh. Only the Igbo inhabited side. The olukumi areas must be given olukumi state, the 7th Yoruba state. . If Igbo's get Anioma state, Yoruba's must get Olukumi State. Shikena ![]() |
swiftycool:Post in the health section about DNA labs. I am sure they have them. Good thing with the Nigerian system is that we dont follow laws. Just paddy paddy with a doctor and tell them your story. they will be willing to do even more than that. I doubt the issue of the mother's consent will even come up. As long as he is the "supposed" father or ward of the child, nothing dey happen. |
People should have children they can take care of. It is not the responsibility of you and your spouse to take care of other people's children. Having relatives living with you brings over familiarity, and then comes discontent. It is better to hire a help than 2 relatives of your spouse. I am also sure you people will be saving for the new baby, how will you be able to save adequately while taking care of the needs of your relatives? And you both still have to give your parents some money. . For a young couple, you are taking on too much. |
shawonlese:This is a total waste of government funds. this is some bull shi*t |
Swifty cool the good story teller. i hope we are not wasting our time here by responding to one of your novels. Anyway tell him to do the test secretly. He should take the child by himself without the wife's knowledge to have the test done. If the child is not his he can promptly give her the child and leave. Which will help him focus on himself and catch up to all he has sacrificed. If that child is not his, the woman must be very wicked. I would not want to stay under the same roof with such a person that can keep such a big secret. She could have confessed not knowing who the father was, before making him go through all this. This is simply an act of sheer selfishness and wickedness. In the future it would not take her anything to do the same again, if the situation presents itself. Besides, taking care of a child and family that was not meant to be is financially impossible for him. Ikoedem can have his family back |
kura king:Gbam! The guy was most likely heavily indebted from the elections. We know how these politicians borrow money all over the place for politics. Which is why they have to loot half of their budget to pay debtors back. He took the easy way out, rather than face shame and have all his belongings seized while still alive. Either way, anyone contemplating suicide for what ever reason just know that as long as there is life there is hope. Things will always get better. As Nigerian's will say; no condition is permanent. Nigeria has to create better laws as regards to election funds and its sources. There should also be a cap on funds for election and transparency on information on the contributors to a campaign. It should be a transparent process. This will prevent cases like this. RIP |
This is why people should be pro choice especially when it comes to mentally challenged people deciding whether to have babies. |
Aigbofa:He should have responded by allocating funds or giving the contracts to capable people. It is a natural disaster, but not a catastrophic one. Which would have been very avoidable, only if the FG would do its work for once. In this case actions will speak louder than words or his presence. If he comes to show his presence and the visit does not change the situation, then of what use was his visit? I think pressure should be put on his administration to do the right thing. Not shout up and down for a 7 year term. I think this is the time to use the FOI to see the allocations for these kinds of projects and force those in charge of them to release the money and award the contracts. |
