So when you point one finger, the remaining four are pointing back at you. It is only reasonable to say the same of Tinubu. This is a case of giving a dog a bad name to kill it. Tinubu owns the Nation, and as you can see from Tribune's expose, he has come to them to bribe them under the cover of darkness, which they refused. If he cant dictate he must destroy. Is this the democracy ACN is selling us?

Politics › Re: Corruption Should Carry Death Sentence by 2mch(m): 4:35pm On Jun 10, 2011
I support the idea, however we know how Nigerians know how to corrupt a system. They will soon start to eliminate political opponents by pointing accusing fingers and building baseless corruption accusations. No arm of the government is corruption free, and it is in this that they are unified. The will do anything to maintain the status quo. A lot of innocent people will be killed, while the real rogues will go free. Until we make the judicial truly independent and corruption free, do we begin to see some changes. We should start with our lawmakers, lawyers and especially judges. They should lose their lives if they get mixed up in corruption.

it will be mentioned that he deployed not only his barren intellect, but his miserable soul solely to the cause of the brigand, Bola Tinubu. Tinubu has no pedigree; he belongs to the class of criminals immolated in the days of yore, but who, by the accident of history, have now found themselves in the commanding heights of timed power.

Before another sentence, let’s provide a background. Bola Tinubu, sole proprietor of the ACN, was once at the Tribune House, Ibadan. Mission: to buy over the Tribune management in the service of his political agenda. He had already compromised the Lagos newspapers, and anyone in doubt should ask why The Nigerian Tribune  has, by the grace of God, remained the only paper in the country to report the judicial atrocities going on in the country on his behalf, his (Tinubu’s) case with the EFCC and allied issues. Should the Tribune join Tinubu’s empire, we’d also begin to carry the kind of stories which said Alao-Akala had fled the country after Ajimobi’s inauguration, even while the former governor was in the church opening his mouth as wide as he was wont to, in praises to God in Ogbomosho, less than 300 kilometres from the printing room of their medium. We would have glossed over the carnage unleashed by ACN brigands in Akwa Ibom  State, and Tribune editors would get the kind of salaries paid Omatseye and others from the money paid by the Lagos State government on a monthly basis into the coffers of Tinubu’s company, Alpha Beta, or its sister company in Osun State, Infinity Concept.

He was told off. That Tinubu, like a pampered child, did not get his desired candy as he imagined in capturing the Nigerian Tribune did not go down well with him. And then came The Nation and its onslaught on the Nigerian Tribune.  Mission: to get the Tribune out of the way so that Emperor Tinubu can take over the nation.

Yet, try as he may, Tinubu will never become Yoruba leader. He will remain the felon, the brigand that he has always been, until his cup is full.

@All
All the Yorubas(Desola,Katsumoto,Ileke Idi, Eko Ile etc) supporting Tinubu and the ACN are fake. Very fake. They

are just consoling/deceiving themselves.

The loss of the speakership is a terrible loss to the average non-ACN SWesterner. Everyone in my family felt sad at

the emergence of Tambuwal but they were quick to console themselves with statements like "what did the SW gain

when they had the speakership position", "Tambuwal is ACN" e.t.c but the grief in their face was very visible.

For me, I was apprehensive and anxious to hear the news and when it finally came, I was cursing Tinubu and the

ACN from the bottom of my heart.I could not sleep overnight.I could see Tinubu's selfish interest written all over the

decision to support Tambuwal. Truth is, the average SWesterner is sad and very unhappy with Tinubu's

behaviour.Even some ACN members will be furious with him.

I dont know how a female PDP speaker would have affected the SW ACN.Didnt Dimeji Bankole, a sitting PDP

speaker lose his re-election bid to an unknown ACN candidate in a free and fair election despite the financial

resources at his disposal?

Abike Dabiri, ACN rep, tried to get to Tinubu's support for the PDP lady. This showed a Yoruba consensus to have a

representative at the centre especially as Obasanjo ensured the position was zoned to the SW despite the dismal

performance of the PDP in the region. But Tinubu's selfishness ruined it. Do you think if the vote had been thrown

to a general SW public they would not have voted Mulikat, PDP or no PDP?

Yorubas on this forum are just consoling themselves and overdoing it.The rest of Nigeria actually want us where we

are now - out of mainstream politics.

Some would say what did we gain in the mainstream?I say what did others gain from the mainstream? Its not a

matter of what you gain from the mainstream but being in the mainstream to represent your interests.Nigeria as a

country is very centre inclined as we are yet to practice true federalism. The FG remains the biggest spender in the

whole federation. How daft and senseless can it get for the SW not to have a representative at that level of

government just because of Tinubu.

The SW can handle both regional and mainstream politics concurrently as displayed in the last election unlike other

regions.

Why should Tinubu stop us from eating our cakes and having it if not for his selfish interest?

And for those making du.m.b permutations about 2015 let me state some categorical facts here

1. Only the PDP can produce the president of Nigeria for decades to come if not centuries. The PDP is similar to the

ANC of South Africa

2. The north is not happy with the SW at all be it Obj group or Tinubu group. The way we backstabbed them by

supporting Jonathan is still fresh in their memory right from the days of Yaradua's absence. The are desperately anti

SW at the moment.

3. The ACN will forever remain a regional party that can only win a tiny sprinkle of seats( courtesy aggrieved

decampees from PDP) outside the SW.It can never win the presidential  election.

4. Jonathan will seek a second term and get it and the SW will support him amid support from other regions

5. Power will return to the north in 2019. A detribalised trustworthy northerner will be carefuly handpicked for the

job.

6. A Yoruba man can only be president on the platform of the PDP.

7.No matter what Tinubu does, he can never kill the PDP in the SW.SW PDP will always be a formidable opposition

in the region to serve as check and balance.

I feel other southerners, even our dearest enemies, the Igbos, feel for the SW on the loss of the speakersip

position.Forget the bashing. They would have preferred to have a Yoruba speaker than a Hausa speaker who will

surely be a threat to Jonathan's govt. No thanks to selfish Tinubu.

What baffled me was the PDP's decision to field a woman. That kind of worsened the situation and forced the

testosterone-dominated house to further defy zoning and support a man.So it was a case of man vs woman.

Muraina Ajibola was already doing well pre-inauguration and was set to win until the lady came from nowhere. The

north just could not stick it hence they brought up Tambuwal.I would have voted Tambuwal if I were not

Yoruba,zoning or no zoning.

For that,PDP, Jonathan and his wife deserved to be heavily whipped.

Another consolation is that even if the 70 ACN votes were removed from tambuwals 252 and added to Mulikat's 90,

she still would have lost.

YORUBAS STOP CONSOLING YOURSELVES.WE ARE NOWHERE IN THE CURRENT POLITICAL DISPENSATION AND IT IS A BIG SETBACK POLITICALLY AND BEYOND.OBASANJO HAS TRIED HIS BEST FOR US.THE OLD MAN WILL BE CRYING WHEREVER HE IS NOW.
100%. To them anyone that has a problem with ACN is a PDP supporter. It is sad to see them hold on to so much hope in ACN, that they dont want to show how embarassed they are. Trust me they are. They just dont want to be laughed at. The earlier you tell yourself the truth, the better for you. They want to believe so much that they will not be disappointed. The reality is that we live in Nigeria where everyone acts in self interest. Blind following will cause big problems. Lets watch and see. The cookie will still crumble. I wonder how they expect to get allocations to grow the SW if you are not in the main stream. All other zones will allocate money to themselves, and just pay off the lame ducks we have in the senate and nass some bribe money. Local champions and toothless bulldogs. We are better off declaring Odua republic

Soon the wailing on how Northerner's are Illiterate and spoiling the country will begin. We give it 6 months. How can you expect the country to get better if you dont partake in mainstream politics? There is a trickle down effect. You generally tend to lose if you do not have a voice. Hiding in your house waiting to be fed will not work out if you dont affect the main stream. This is from a Yoruba and that is how politics is played. We have simply left the fate of our future in the hands of Northerner's. No complaints if they affect the country negatively. Eko Ile:
Tribune is out of control, lol

Just read the comments under this fish wrap article.
s Tribune now PDP's Mouth-piece?
written by Segun Fakeye, February 09, 2011

I read the said editorial and it was so blatantly partisan.

This rabble rousing piece is not any better. It is clear to any discerning observer that Tribune has become a mouth-piece for the same reactionary forces that frustrated Baba in his lifetime, what a shame!

How baba must turn in his grave at what has become of our favourite Tribune.
Oluwa je ki omo rere gbeyin wa.

That write-up surprises me because i thought Tribune is a neutral publication but i shed tears when i read Awolaja's reaction to sam's editorial. Awolaja even if you are paid by PDP, you should have done this with decorum. Oluwa je ki Omo rere gbeyin wa. Amin.

how and why Awo,

It is disgusting and incriminating reading a piece from the medium that is expected to be objective(TRIBUNE).

This is a paper i grew up with to be non partisan, objective infact i dream of it representing true, fair interest of the masses but now they are hungry of PDP cash. How has ACN turn to party of imposition unlike tribune's money warlords (PDP) policians that force themselves to sit on peoples mandate even unaccounted for. Of what use is a party that ruleth in shame and rigour. Sam may not be right sayin this Tribune "it is a mouthpiece for decadence and political corruption at a high level.

What a shame! But i bet he is right on the pervasive imballance of the writer missing the subject in a prophetic desertions. Well done 'SENIOR ADVOVATE OF THE MASSES (SAM)
HAHAHAHHA. This ACN people are desperate and whiners. See Eko Ile commenting as 3 different people. Tinubu at an all time low. grin grin grin grin grin cheesy. Same comment Eko Ile said of Awo turning in his grave appeared on Tribune comentary. This guy needs to get a life. This ship is obviously sinking

Eko Ile:
^^^^^ In case you missed it.

Wasn't expecting anything less than your arrant rubbish. You are meaningless and relevant to me and that's why I never accord you any attention.
2mch:
They deleted my post to you as well. Please go and scrub the bed pans of the political small weights crying to be noticed and crying for validation. Trust me, you are worth the attention given to a fly. You are nothing but a propaganda mouth piece. Never to be taken seriously.
Coward, i know i dont stutter, but you apparently do. So reread. I know the ACN is not too famous for employing educated people to do their errand work. Your senses are failing you, especially your sight. What a coward. When you wanted to stutter (repeat posts), you did not want to quote me so i will not see it in my email. Ode. cheesy cheesy. Babapupa/ Eko Ile the NUTRW chieftain. Area father.
