Igbo's are so sensitive, see how they are crying on SR because of investigative reporting. Any news about Ojukwu is an attack on Igbo's. What is the reason for this oversensitivity and the thinking that everyone is out to get you? It is ridiculous. . Now i wonder where the band of tribalists are, with the insult that Awo committed suicide. See karma now and wahala that a malicious rumor can cause. Hope you all grow up and learn some lessons some day. Including the Yoruba tribalists. ![]() |
afam4eva:It was called that because at the time only MMIA was the functioning international airport. So yes, once you land in Lagos, to access everywhere else by road you must pass through Ogun state. |
Because you have to go through Ogun to access other parts of the country by road via Lagos |

EzeUche: . I thought you might be interested in the new development. The topic was not degrading. The man had a stroke, not too many people survive it so kini big deal? |
The man is a child molester and has bought the mother. The mother is selfish and looking out for her own comfort by all means. Where is your father? If you dont have one, i am sure the boys in the house can stand up to the mother. Let your sister go to school. Besides, she does not like the man, that marriage will be equal to modern day slavery. Shameless parent. |
This is most likely a genetic condition that the both of you have. This is why some people go for genetic tests before they decide to marry. If it is not sickle cell, it is a genetic condition. It may be the two of you that have it or you Mr. Poster. The both of you may not be genetically compatible. Kepp trying, who knows what God can do. If you have the money you can take her for IVF abroad and have the doctors screen for genetic defects. |
Ojukwu On Life Support Machine, Condition Now Too Bad-PM News, Lagos Posted: July 25, 2011 - 15:50 By Kayode Ogundamisi/London & Oluokun Ayorinde/Abuja Contrary to recent reports that he is responding to treatment, P.M.NEWS investigations have revealed that former Biafran warlord, Dim Chukwuemeka Ojukwu may not be in any position to return to the country very soon as there has not been any significant improvement in his health since he was rushed to the United Kingdom last year. P.M.NEWS investigations in London revealed that Ojukwu is still on admission and on life support machine at the intensive care unit of Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading, West Berkshire, where he was moved to on 27 June following anxiety over a fresh chest infection which worsened his condition. Royal Berkshire is an NHS hospital but it was not clear if British tax payers are picking Ojukwu’s health bills. P.M.NEWS observed that Ojukwu was in a ward that any British tax payer would have been. It was also discovered that Ojukwu is not getting any special treatment that his condition deserved at the hospital. Ojukwu is on admission at the Ememer Green ward of the hospital and the only person keeping him company when P.M.NEWS visited was Bob Enyeama who described himself as chief of staff to the former Biafran warlord. Though he insisted that the Eze Ndigbo was “in good health”, P.M.NEWS observed that Ojukwu was bed-ridden, appeared to be still with eyes constantly staring at the ceiling. Enyeama later chased the P.M.NEWS correspondent out of the ward when he knew about his mission. But a member of staff of the hospital told P.M.NEWS that they are waiting for the family members of the Biafran warlord to decide if the life support he is on should be switched off. Asked if Ojukwu could still make it with his current condition, she replied: “You saw him yourself, what do you think?” P.M.NEWS was also at the other institutions where the Biafran warlord has been treated since he was taken to London. Ojukwu was rushed to the Royal Berkshire hospital from the Lynden Hill Care Home, Berkshire where he was admitted on 6 June, 2011. The Lynden Care Home is located in an isolated countryside and the clinic in its promo claim to specialise in “natural healing”. It is suspected that after all normal medical efforts failed his handlers may have resorted to the “natural healing” at the care home. A worker who claimed anonymity stated that the home could only have him for a few weeks as he was reaching a “vegetative stage, could not respond to sound or his environment”. Some members of Ojukwu family had earlier condemned the transfer of the former Biafran warlord to this institution which they said have no facilities for comprehensive specialist care and rehabilitation services like physiotherapy, speech therapy and high level of nursing input which Ojukwu requires in his present condition. Before then, Ojukwu was on admission at Wellington Hospital, North West London, and sources within the hospital claimed that when he was brought in, his condition had deteriorated and he spent most of the time on wheelchair and assisted care. Sources claimed his condition never improved and he was “self-checked out again”. When he was flown to the United Kingdom on 23 December last year as a result of the rapid deterioration of his health, the first institution Ojukwu was admitted to was the London Clinic, Devonshire Place, London. Though P.M.NEWS confirmed that the Eze Ndigbo was admitted at the hospital, they would not comment on his state of health on admission but they did confirm a “self-check out” by those who brought him in. The findings by P.M.NEWS confirmed assertions by some close members of family of Ojukwu. “At no stage at the London Clinic and later when he was moved to Wellington was he well enough talk, sit or eat let alone exercise without being assisted by a physiotherapist,” a source close to the Ojukwu family had told P.M.NEWS while disputing the claims that Ojukwu was on his way back to Nigeria as published in some newspapers. P.M.NEWS investigations revealed that members of Ojukwu’s family are calling for the return of the former warlord to the London Clinic where they believed he can get better specialist care. http://pmnewsnigeria.com/2011/07/25/ojukwu-on-life-support-machine-condition-now-too-bad/ |
You can also try looking for information about him through the schools he attended. They should be able to help you with alumni information, or information if he went to further his studies. They may also be able to help with the last known address. This person you are looking for, how old is he? And do you have a picture of him? Any more information your mother can give as to his roots and family back home. Also are you sure of his name and its spelling? Be careful with anyone offerring to look for him for you at a price. NL is a good start. If you have more information, someone may be able to help or may recognize the person you are looking for. Goodluck on your search. |
Did your father name you Tara? As in Omotara? Some Yoruba's have muslim names and if your name is Omotara your father is most likely Yoruba. Now, he definitely knows he has a child but he has not looked back for you. Are you sure he would welcome your presence back in his life? What are you going into this for and what so you expect to get from meeting him? What I am saying is you should not have too many high expectations of this person, or expect instant acceptance. Or was it your mother that prevented his presence in your life? If he is still in London, I am sure you will be able to narrow down your search. But if he is in Nigeria, it may be a bit more difficult. Anything could have happened in 23years. Try your immigration authority for immigration records |
Good to hear the other side, now Wife: i didnt advocate instant divorce like i would normally have because you came across as a bit emotional and childish. You come across as someone that cannot forgive, and uses past mistakes as a weapon. Please drop this attitude. If your husband is so terrible, dont you think he is a reflection on your ability to make the wrong choices? Also the fact that despite all this you were still willing to work on it shows that you know something we dont, like you also have some fault in what is going on. I can also see you acting out in the way your husband said, crying, shouting and all sorts. But that kind of reaction must come from being frustrated by your husband's behavior. Also, your childish behavior as to maltreating the man because he lost is job is very bad on your part. But this is a woman for you. You admitted that he took care of your every need and you hardly had to spend your money when he was working working, yet you forget that as soon as you become the provider of the household. How will you feel in his shoes? Before you misbehave in the future always put others in your shoes. You also have to have a forgiving spirit, and learn to let things go when you have forgiven. The past should never come up. You have to learn to communicate well with your husband and hold your tongue. You are very disrespectful with it. It is good that you could not even point to an insult or beating he gave you so he is not an abusive person. You are frustrating him with your words and your actions. What ever you buy in the house is for the both of you and same goes with him. Stop misbehaving and try to learn some humility. The success of your marriage depends on respect for your spouse and communication. Also, you are partner's in everything. His success is yours and his failure is yours too. Both of you should be looking for how to get better jobs. No matter what learn to keep your hands to yourself woman! And no more breaking things? Get a hold of your emotions and temper, if not one day you will throw your child out of anger instead of a glass cup. Also madam, do away with unnecessary things like DSTV at this time. The money can be put towards better things if you cant afford it. Cut your coat according to your size and stop the financial pressure on the guy. The husband: It is good that we have heard your side but as the husband it is best you also learn to forgive. Both of you are childish. You met your wife a virgin so why find an excuse to misbehave? The fact that you did not disclaim the serious allegation that you gave her an STD shows that it is true. And you are the cheat in this relationship. Even if your wife was pregnant why did you not tell her about your job loss? Your wife should be like your shadow, no secrets whatsoever. Your wife's hysterical behavior is a result of the frustration she has experienced at your hands. It is only a very wicked person that will be so useless to his wife, when it comes to women. What if she had conceived when you gave her that STD? And your child came out deformed or you lost your child? Can you imagine the resentment you will feel if this happened? All the energy you place on womanizing and drinking can be channeled into your family and into looking for a new job. Leave the beer parlor and women alone. You are not a single man or a married man leaving single. You have no excuse of disappearing and mistreating your wife. Do not let your child grow up in that kind of home because they will hate you in the future. It is your type that end up alone and when your children are succesful they turn their backs on you. It is your duty as a man to protect your wife and children from external forces and should be the rock on which they stand. Look, you are a man with a family, and you must provide for them. Go out and look for a job. Even if it means you look for a lower paying job, every N200 you contribute will mean something. God probably put you in this position to humble you. And until you turn back to God and focus on your family things will not get better. If your wife is hysterical and ranting it is because you do not face issues but runaway and hide in your drinks. An issue will never go away if you dont face it squarely. You lack good communication skills. The problem with this marriage is communication. Also, you are not the first person to marry a wife from another religion, so that is not an excuse. Look, you have a problem. You wife's happiness and family security all depend on you. If you want this marriage to work you have to decide to change and be a better person. I have a feeling that after this you will try. Please do for your own sake and your child's sake. Also pspend more time with your family. Even if you cannot afford to take them to nice places, staying home and helping to watch your child while your wife is busy will equate to spending time with your family. These children grow up fast. You dont want to lose out on these precious bonding moments. Children need their fathers even more than the wife to become productive in future. Even if you dont achieve the height of success in your life, your child can be very great if you are active in their life and a good father. You are a man now. Leave childish things alone. |
E leyi ti koja be careful. . I suggest you find someone to talk with him, someone he respects. Most likely a male figure. He is a rebellious person and will not follow you to any counselor. Besides, counselors can be expensive if you are looking for an expert. I dont think at this present financial state that you can afford it. You never talked about his father, does he have one? . You also did not answer our question about how long you dated. In the first post you also stated that you left your fiance for the OP. I see you were moved by him stalking you and misinterpreting it with love. Those kind of people are the most problem plagued or psychotic. He has a problem, the issue is he doesnt know it. He lacks empathy.http://www.buzzle.com/articles/lack-of-empathy-in-relationships.html Read this link, i think you can relate to it. ![]() |
I guess he is addicted to dating websites. This is an addiction, it is only when people realize they have the problem that they can either try to correct it, if they have self control or get help. It is apparent he does not have self control. What you do at this point is up to you. Can you keep up with this and will he ever change is the question you should be asking yourself. ![]() |
letty45: This is a very serious issue. First i will like to know how old you are? How old is he? How long did you date before marriage? I personally think these things are very important, because i believe you let your virginity and abstinence take precedent over common sense. You are as much to blame as he is. You agreed to marry him after all, without truly knowing who he was. While being married to a spouse of like religion makes things easier, there are families with parents of different religions who live in peace under the same roof. It takes maturity and understanding to work through these. It appears he is going through trying times at the moment and is seeking happiness in the wrong places. I hope you are also not kicking him while he is down. Maybe you should focus more on encouraging him to look for work and contacting people you know who can help him find something. Also, sit him down and just listen. Dont cry, argue or nag. Just listen to him talk about what is going on and what is making him who he is. And then suggest solutions, dont impose or force. It depends on how long you are willing to stick around and work on it. I advice that as your baby is still young you desist from sex with him. About the gift issue, you come across as a bit childish. At least now you know why he could not afford your birthday present, he didnt have a job! So let that go. To me he seems afraid of failure or looking like a failure to you which is why he never told you about his job loss. Do you make it easy for him to have a conversation with you? Try to work on your relationship first. If it doesnt change, then he is simply not ready. Take it to his pastor if his family is that much of a christian home, he will listen. Look for a non judgmental pastor. |
This is why people advocate relationship before marriage. It is good that you stayed a virgin till you were married, but these are the dangers you might face. It takes a special man to appreciate a virgin; which is why i believe virgins should marry virgins. You will be too innocent to watch out for funny behaviors and attitude's before marriage. What i mean is, you are not emotionally mature to where you have faced serious problems and overcome them in which sex is involved. Sex complicates things more during relationships. I also believe that people dont show you their true self until you have reached a place where you are comfortable and most likely intimate relationship is involved. Also, you had the chance to hold off on having kids when the STD issue happened, but you still went ahead and conceived for him. If you were using your brain all this while, you would have focused on trying to work on your relationship before bringing a child into it. If he did not change while you were trying to work on the relationship without bringing a child into it, right now it would have been easier to leave. The real issue here is your husband is not and was never ready for marriage. Until he decides within himself that he is ready, things will not change. You can for the sake of your family, report the issue to his pastor. His pastor will call you both and discuss. A man that spends the money meant for his son is still a child and not responsible. You said he did not respond to the doctor's request when it was discovered you had an STD. Did he get treatment? Because if he didnt, sooner or later he may find himself impotent. Also, did you do a marriage course before marriage? It doesnt matter that you are muslim, most chirstians have this course before marriage and undergo serious counseling. Marrying a Christian means you are flexible in your religion. Seek good help where ever it comes from. It can be his pastor or your imam. I will suggest you tell his mother everything you wrote in the first post. Tell her in confidence, so that she can advise him in a way that will not look like she was told and he is being attacked or a ganged up on. ![]() |
adamabdul: . I thought internet was Haram to you guys. *running out of thread* |
adamabdul:Well it can also be argued that they had a leadership falling out and the name pertains to those who follow Yusuf, while adhrerring to Boko Haram principles. Boko Haram in and of itself does not mean Islam, it means it is anti- western which could be pro Nigerian, pro islam, pro anything if we judge by the name only. If i remember properly the Yusuf was the original leader of Boko Haram that was killed, not so? Well if my memory serves me right, this can either be bad or good. But i will be optimistic and say good. With division, it would be easier to learn about the other sect and the strategies they use. It will help the FG understand the situation better. |
Lucifa2015:They are using the devils tactics and that is give with one hand and take back 10 fold. Nigerians dont have the fanatic ability if they will not get compensated heavily. This strategy cannot hold, and most of the poor's priorities is to eat and not kill themselves over religion. If Boko Haram provides that opportunity they will get the support. But right now the FG is not budging in giving them money/amnesty in any way. I doubt they even have sponsors that a rich enough to keep this going, judging by the local bombs. Even Robin Hood did not kill his own people to feed them. This is Nigeria, if the devil throws money people will take and turn around to shout devil die! die! die! on sunday. ![]() |
EzeUche:Says who? Ezeuche of Niaraland. mphh! |
Lucifa2015:True, but do they have the support of the people like the IRA did? . They are killing their own and not fighting the government as such. So that kind of tactic is bound to get old very soon. I dont think majority of Northerner's want to leave Nigeria even if it means having an Islamic country. Also, not all Northerners are hausa-fulani and muslim and share their sentiments. |
bellten:What say you about this one: http://obamaandpeace..com/2010/03/oduduwa-and-yoruba-revolution-in-world.html |
EzeUche:They migrated before the Igbo's there now. So that is their land. They all had Yoruba names, and then with the coming of the Benin they adopted Bini names, and now they are adopting Igbo names. Which is normal and a sign of adaptation to new things. This definitely shows the trend of migrations. Igbo's came to their area last. But one thing is true, that they held on to significant parts of their Yoruba heritage which is now identifiable. |
adamabdul:Enlighten us on the meaning of Yusufiya and how this report is fraudulent. Well it may be a propaganda strategy by FG to disorganize Boko Haram. We shall see how they respond to this ![]() |
Lucifa2015:Well that is if this story is true. If the center of Boko Haram can no longer hold and groups are leaving then they are weakening. So definitely the use of force has helped. It is good that they were not given amnesty. |
bashr4:At least the Yoruba's have the conscience to expose that and fire 5000, which is very comendable. But will the Igbo's do the same? When the Imo Governor just hired a state comedian from the state coffers. . Even Andy Uba a former governor had fraudulent degrees. If Igbo governors investigate fraudulent degrees in the east, the numbers will be catastrophic. It is so common to get a master's degree while working in Lagos and partying on the weekends. Only UNN is credible in the east. Look men, i am not a tribal warrior like you as i have good Igbo friends. Am tired of this nonsense. Enough! ![]() |
There are indications that the outlawed Islamic sect, Boko Haram, has broken into factions, indicating that it is weakening. The sect has been engaged in a bloody campaign of bombings and killings in parts of the North in the past few months, including the June deadly blast at the headquarters of the Nigeria Police Force in Abuja. The Nigeria Police and the amred forces under the aegis of the Joint Task Force have mounted a blistering crackdown on suspected members of the sect in the Borno State capital, Maiduguri. Reports say a group which calls itself the Yusuffiya Islamic Movement has said in unverified statements that “people with evil motives have infiltrated our genuine struggle.” Confirming the development to the Associated Press, the JTF spokesman, Lt. Col. Hassan Mohammed, said his officers had seen statements announcing that th faction had split from Boko Haram. http://www.punchng.com/Articl.aspx?theartic=Art2011072018324867 Who says force is not effective? We have to give credit to Jonathan in this is true. The question is can h replicate this in the ND? If he is successful in this, the Northerner's will ask for the same in the ND. |
bashr4:hahahahhaha, i have known a lot of Igbo's that stay and work in Lagos who obtain degrees in the east simultaneously. Dont come at me with that, i know a lot of universities in the east sell degrees except for UNN. So please blow your brains out. |
