PoliticsRe: New Peak Power Generation Record Of 4883.9MW - TCN by 2rutalk1: 8:18pm On Nov 25, 2015
Nonsense! APC should know that election campaigns are over. We are living in darkness - no light, no fuel and you came here to write numbers for us. Oya, convert it to light nah. Here in Satellite Town, Lagos I can't remember the last time we had light up to 40mins in a day.

Shut up idiot. We can't wait to kick this evil party called APC out of Nigeria come 2019. I don't belong to any political party but this is the worst government so far in the history of Nigeria's democracy. If you think because you are in power, remember how PDP members were beating their chest some years back that they will rule this country for ages. Perhaps, PDP is still better than APC. We can't continue like this, we will kick you out by all means.

One thing always baffles me about Nigeria. People are dying serving their country, even if the government tried to do a cover up, what about the families? 105 +34 deaths and the families kept quiet? This is strange and makes me believe that it's all just an hoax. If FFK truly wanted to sound patriotic, he should find some of these families and let them vent locally and internationally, that is the only to shine the light on this matter otherwise he's just a noisemaker!
Hypocrite. All of you will face the wrath of God for covering the truth. During Jonathan's regime, the whole world was awash with Boko haram mayhem. Now that your Messiah Buhari is here, everything has gone from bad to worst - no light, no fuel, no job, no money in circulation, companies are closing down yet you want the media to cover all the atrocities. hypocrite

Don't mind those idiots. No body is missing. APC just used the propaganda to rubbish GEJ's government. Oby Ezekwesili and her co-travellers are no way to be found. God punish these fools.

This is the worst government I have ever seen in my life. Very useless government. Anybody that still covers the atrocities of this evil government is wicked and will surely pay for it.
CareerRe: Should I Go For Mba Or Msc? by 2rutalk1: 5:44am On Nov 21, 2015
If you have interest in academics, go for Msc. You cannot do a PhD programme with MBA certificate in Nigeria even in some other climes. Infact, as a young graduate Msc is the way go to. MBA only pays when you are already in your job and want promotion in your career.
PoliticsRe: Soludo Urges FG To Review TSA, Remove Subsidy by 2rutalk1: 5:34am On Nov 21, 2015
Superb economic analysis. I pray God should touch the heart of PMB to make this man his adviser on economic matters. What we really need now is expansionary policy to boost the real sector and create jobs for the teeming unemployed youths. Like Soludo said "we cannot have an idle cash with the CBN while the economy suffers liquidity freeze. This country will be good if we can avoid tribalism and favouritism in selecting the managers of our economy.

CareerRe: Should He Leave His Current Job? Help by 2rutalk1: 7:09pm On Nov 19, 2015
olafunny:
Hi nairalanders,

A brother, who is currently working with a company in ibadan and also stays in ibadan, has got himself in a condition which he needs nairalanders to be of help.

The issue is;

where he's working nw, he's been paid something above 80k sha which is obviously not the worth of the job and his kind of person cuz he has his ph.D. But because of the situation in the country, he decided to stick to the job till he gets another one.
His hustle paid off last week friday when he got another job in Lagos and the pay is above 130k with other monthly allowances. According to him, he loves his current job as it's less stressful and makes him closer to his family. He considers Lagos as a place that is very stressful and will probably cause him to relocate. But the pay is higher.

Now, he's thinking of threatening his current boss with his new job nd pay, maybe the boss might increase his salary and beg him to stay. He is staying with his younger brother in one of the houses his father built before he died. So he doesnt pay house rent with his salary. All that will change when he get to Lagos.

What he wants Nairalanders to do for him is to advice him whether;

-to go for the new job since the pay is high and try to get used to Lagos situation and since he is a ph.D holder, he might higher opportunities from there.

-to stay and continue with his current job since his expenditures are far low.

-to threaten his boss to increase his salary. What if the boss dismisses him? He might end up being in where his mind doesn't.

Thanks in advance.
1. Considering the wage difference, I will advise you to stay where you are. Don't come to Lagos. The pay is not worth the stress and cost of living here in lagos?
2. You/your friend has a PhD and he/she is collecting 80k is another question entirely. It is either you/your friend is a dummy or you/your friend is not saying the truth. So many higher institutions of learning are begging PhD holders to join them with a good pay and you/your friend is jumping from 80k to 130k jobs. Something is missing here. If you/your friend doesn't like teaching/research while embarking on PhD programme in the first place. Somebody is not saying the truth abeg.

PoliticsRe: Fuel Scarcity: FG Should Legalize Illegal Refineries - Murray-Bruce by 2rutalk1: 12:37pm On Nov 17, 2015
dustydee:
They are in business because they steal their crude.
Why are most Nigerians so shallow in reasoning. The Senator said such businesses should be licensed. Now these guys have the skills whereas our government cannot refine the product optimally, why not train them, equip them, monitor them and give them necessary support to become useful in the downstream sector. Some of you should make out time to study the economies of the Asian Tigers to understand how they grew economically. We are selfish in this country honestly.
PoliticsRe: Fuel Scarcity: FG Should Legalize Illegal Refineries - Murray-Bruce by 2rutalk1: 12:33pm On Nov 17, 2015

Honestly, this Ben Bruce should start thinking more before he talks. Being a senator is not about theatrics and saying things that may seem clever only at the surface.

So if Ben Bruce is the President of Nigeria, is he telling me he will reward criminals caught indulging in serious act of criminality, by operating illegal refiniries by legalizing them.

I say serious because you need to ask yourselves where this illegal refiniries get the crude oil they refine from. Of course, illegal refiniriries is closely linked oil bunkering and pipeline vandalism which costs the nation hundreds of millions of dollars in resources.

So anywhere you find illegal refiniry, you legalize it. Ofocourse more will just popping up.

This guy is beginning to talk as if he has no common sense, seriously.
May God cause you to reason like human.
PoliticsRe: Fuel Scarcity: FG Should Legalize Illegal Refineries - Murray-Bruce by 2rutalk1: 12:31pm On Nov 17, 2015
There is sense in what Senator Bruce said. Since we have the technical-know-how to refine our crude oil locally, why not register such businesses, retrain them, monitor them and ultimately increase competition and production capacity. At times I wonder if our politicians do not know what to do or they just want to punish Nigerians due to their selfish interest. Even Buhari that everyone thought will step on toes to revamp the economy of this nation, is equally allowing same cabals in power sector, oil and gas etc to kill this country. crying!

PoliticsRe: Senators On Tour Of Federal Roads In South-East Nigeria (Photos) by 2rutalk1: 1:17pm On Nov 02, 2015
If you use Federal Roads in the East, you will know their agitation for secession is justified. Igbos are totally neglected in this country. 95% of the Federal Roads in the South East are not motorable. Just an hour journey on any of the roads can make you sick.
