Please, which of the two is grammatically correct? Thanks. |
Ugosample:it was stressful though, but their academic calendar was superb. I finished in 2014 |
Ugosample:Let me join you guys. I did Msc there. I love Dr (Mrs) Risikat Dauda. That lady is good. Dr Akiyele is another stuff. Not forgetting the controversial Dr Ajide. |
Height of hypocrisy. Same Amechi and indeed APC that are calling GEJ a criminal and are threatening to probe and jail him are the same people crying wolf over probe. Kai |
it is like the difference between Lai Muhammed and lies |
Oshomole is the worst thing that has happened to Nigerian democracy. Oshomole can only boast o a foreign wife without a single foreign direct investment in all his years in office. useless Governor. |
Since 29th May, 2015 when the new Governor of Lagos State Gov. Ambode was sworn into office, nothing has been heard about him not even a press statement. It could be recalled that the former Governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Fashola was a household name even after leaving office on May 29th, 2015. Lagos State is a cosmopolitan State with a viable economy. Therefore, any person that finds himself in the position of steering the affairs of the State should not be found wanting. Even his performance within his short period in office should have at least put his name in the print media even without propaganda. It is therefore out of curiosity that I have deem it necessary to know why the Governor became so unnoticeable since assumption of office. Just asking..... |
Gradually Tinubu`s agreement with Buhari is coming to reality. Alpha Beta (Tinubu`s company) will soon start collecting taxes for the FG as it is done in Lagos State. Fowler is Tinubu`s annointed candidate to consolidate the agreement. We are getting there. |
Quote:some of these bloggers shiah. See grammar. Unemployment is really the bane of specialization and creativity in this country. |
Maximus85:Who taught you Mathematics Mr. Man? so if you are given 12-(3+3) to solve, you will open the bracket without treating the problem inside the bracket first? Oga, in BODMAS, Bracket comes before subtraction and in solving BRACKET, you must treat what is inside the bracket first. i.e 3+3 before subtracting the answer (6) from 12. How can you open bracket when you have not treated the problem inside the bracket? The truth of the matter is that some of you will argue this till next week but that doesn't negate the fact that the correct answer is 6. |
chiefololade:listen to what they are telling you and stop talking trash. People thathave over ten years teaching experience in the field of mathematics at the University level are correcting you and you are busy talking about what calculator says. The little knowledge you have in mathematics is only telling you -3+3=0 in the equation and you ignore the rules of mathematics. |
lovemaths:oga, you are wrong. In BODMAS it is addtion before substraction. So in your second to the last equation I.e 3+9-3+3, addition should come before substraction and mind you n there are two addition signs there. Minus 3 cannot cancel positive 3, which I am sure led you to the wrong answer. So in the rule of BODMAS, finish up everything that has addition sign before treating substraction sign. That is, (3+9)-(3+3) = 12-6=6. That is BODMAS for you. |
abumeinben:oga, stop misleading the guy, the correct answer is 6. Learn how to use BODMAS. Thanks. |
Increasing VAT when the business environment is so hostile for manufacturing. It is evident that our leaders are only interested in raising public revenue which will be diverted to their private pulse without recourse to its negative implications on the living standard of the people. The macroeconomic environment in Nigeria is not favourable for businesses. What the government should do in the short run is to encourage enterpreurship through incentives and sound/friendly business environment. In that, businesses will thrivesn jobs will be created, the income of the people/companies will increase leading to a corresponding increase in personal income tax and business taxes. |
chukzUd:pls, this is the best advice you can get from this forum. If u have ur way, better change to another department and run away from HIR in EBSU if u really want to gradaute on time and with good grade too. Don't say I didn't tell u. I studied Economics there and I can tell u categorically that HIR is a no-go area. I am not discouraging u but for ur own good, change to another department now if possible. U can call some guys in the dept or those that have graduated to confirm my assertion. Tanx |
focus7:point on. It was mutually agreed by the two parties. As much as I don't condone rape, this story doesn't add up at all. Raping a girl of 18 years old in a classroom and she didn't raise her voice to the hearing of anybody? Its obvious both of them had some romantic acts in the car before they agreed to finish it up in the classroom. If not for the woman that showed up no body would have heard about it. Girls of 18 years are proudly sleeping with married men for money on average daily basis. It doesn't add up abeg as far as girls of these days are concerned. |
In Nigerian Universities grading system, I don't think there is anything like 2.2 in MSc? I know its either you are awarded distinction (4.0 and above) or Pass (2.5-3.9) or fail. So there is nothing like 2.2 in Msc. You should be talking about PhD grade which varies according to Schools. Some schools accept 3.5 and above for PhD, while some like UNILAG accepts 4.0 and above. Otherwise, you have to do Mphil before PhD. |
The only language Nigerians understand is violence or threat. He has deemed it neccessary to appoint a special Adviser after they threatened to bring him down. You can ask Asari Dukubo, Tompolo and others. If you want to make it in Nigeria just make some noise and your bank account will grow over night |
ednut1:Stop saying what you don't know. I think you should strive to get an MSc first for you to know the difference. |
Masters degree will surely give you a competitive advantage in the labour market. I have M.Sc degree in Economics and I can tell you convincingly that there is a great opportunity gap between now(with Msc) and then(without Msc). However, make sure you have the means (finance & time) of running the programme. Msc can be so frustrating especially when you combine it with job. About 20% of Msc students in Nigeria drop out of school yearly due to the frustrating nature of the programme. Perhaps, like I said earlier, it is worth having if you have the means. Even some HR persons will treat you differently during job interview. I am talking from experience. Go for it and make sure you make at least a PhD grade. In that, getting Assistant lecturing job will not be a difficult task. Some federal Universities like UNILAG accepts minimum of 4.0CGPA, while some accept 3.5 for PhD admission. So most schools will consider that before giving you a job as an Assistant lecturer because it is expected of you to upgrade to PhD level in future to be qualified as a full lecturer. Thanks. |
Even the Northeners who used this boko haram as an apparatus to get political power cannot control them again. IBB, Modu Sheriff, Senator Ali Ndume know everything about this boko haram, but it seems they are untouchable. Even Buhari is pretending he doesn't know their sponsors because according to him, “war against Boko Haram is war against the North“. Same Ali Ndume is now a Senate Leader. Speechless! |
Rubbish! This is like a boys quarter compared to what ordinary Alaba traders are building in Lagos let alone an ex~NSA. He is too big for that cheap house. Or is it that there are no good houses in Kaduna? |
Every right thinking person knows Saraki cannot be a party to this plot. It will be a political sucide on his side. If he dares it, PDP Senators will team up with some gruntled members of APC (Lawan group) to remove him instantly. Infact Saraki knows that eventual removal of Ekweremadu will not appease Tinubu and the Lawan group. Infact that will amount to political harakiri on the side of Saraki |
JustSayYesOkay:tanx |
Sensible and constructive replies pls. The office is located at VI, Lagos and I live in Festac town. Regards. |
steffans:God bless you. Nigerian politics is more sophisticated these days than Yahoo plus. Scam everywhere you go |
ceejay80s:when you were running your mouth some months back was it Jonathan that killed them? Bunch of hypocrites. |
Same Northerners that have ruled the country for ages have highest incidence of poverty. This is a clear indication that the number of political elite in a given geographical entity does not translate to corresponding economic development and poverty reduction in that region. So for those killing themselves over which region gets what in our political sphere, just be aware that such position(s) may not translate to the economic development of your region, rather it breeds economic dualism (center-periphery model), where the rich perpetuates the poor in poverty trap thereby widening the already widened gap between the rich and the poor. |
where is your location and can it go for N380K |
So nobody is aware that it happens like this during rainy seasons every year. The dams are filled up, therefore generation capacity has increased. Between December and April you people will start crying again. I have never seen people that forget so easily like Nigerians |
lolaxavier:I know “spill over effect“ is the only thing you learnt in your Economics class, if only you know the meaning. Sentiment and tribalism are the greatest bane of our developmental strive in Nigeria. I am very much aware that your conscience is not at peace with you for dropping this trash. Suffering and smiling |
Godmother:God bless you. It is very unfortunate that poverty and hunger have beclouded some people's sense of reasoning. I read some posts prior to seeing this your wonderful contribution and felt disappointed. So because there is no job in Nigeria people should start begging or borrowing money from people to pay for feeding and transportation just to get a job. None of the people above you took cognizance of the fact that the candidate may be spending over 20k and get 13k at the end of the month. Now tell me how he is going to take care of the balance. I had expected people to ask questions just as you did like: 1. how much do you spend in a month on feeding? 2. How much will you spend in a month on transportation? 3. Are you still dependent on your parents? If no, how much is your house rent. If the above is higher than the 13k per month tell me how he is going to meet up with the job. It is obvious the employer will lay him off if he doesn't come to work for two days because of financial problem. |
