So i thought i should share my experience with DAN. Sold a domain 2wks ago for $270 and my payout option was automatically changed to wire transfer. I reached out to DAN by tagging simon that i didn't request for a wire transfer payout option but rather throughout BTC. 24hrs later they switched back the payout to crypto which was my initial payout option with them and the payment was sent to my luno address. On Thursday night i got a credit alert from my bank for the same payment i already received through my BTC tho it was minimal due to the exchange rate compared to the BTC rate i already received. It was so tempting but i decided to reach out to DAN notifying them that i received a double payment for the domain name.
James from DAN replied my message by thanking me for being honest and sincere and we both tried to look for way to send the payment back to them. James later send me a message to keep the second payout as a reward for my honesty.
Indeed it pays to be honest.

Do you think I should pitch using GEO Vacation Home rentals as my search keyword?

I also received a double payment of $300 for a name I sold on Dan. I contacted simon and I sent it back to him.

As a reward, he promised to only charge 8% on the next 8 sales I made. Though he has forgotten about that but they are really nice guys and this will make them trust Nigerians more. The goal is the long term where Nigerians will be accepted on all platforms.

So say I want to sell the domain name foodbank.us (actual domain I own). I would go to Google search and type in the exact line below...

site:facebook.com "gmail" foodbank

Other examples that might give you better (more) results would be:

site:facebook.com "gmail" foodbank South Carolina
site:facebook.com "gmail" foodbank Florida
site:facebook.com "gmail" foodbank Nevada


You just replace foodbank / location with whatever keywords fit your domain name...meaning there are millions of potential clients at your fingertips now for all your domains.

The Google Chrome extension I use so that I don't have to copy and paste each email individually can be found by typing "email extractor google chrome extension" in Google search. Also to make this a bit easier I change my Google search results to show 100 instead of 10. You can do this by going to google .com/preferences

I turn the Chrome extension off whenever I am not using it because it does slow things down.

I've been on Nairaland for over 9 years and this my present moniker is about 6 years. In fact, I checked thru this thread in 2016 when Ik started it, almost every year too since then but I was never interested. I didn't have time too and the little time I'd online would always be in politics section. I know some stupid questions some of those forming boss now used to ask and answers were supplied to them as much as possible and they were encouraged to ask more questions for better understanding. But now most of them are doing the direct opposite. I known their monikers.

It's because of the lockdown that made me to say let me do something about this domain stuff. When one says, "I'm a newbie, I don't understand so so and so" most would look at your moniker, if they don't know you or don't like your moniker, they will either ignore you or become aggressive when answering questions. Over the past 3 months I've decided to do this domain thing, I've ended up deleting over 10 questions I've asked on this thread here when they totally ignored me for several days but surprisingly, one will see 30-40 likes on the next person. Consequently, I stopped asking. Only Ikhalyfah and Liftkid have responded positively.

Let's be clear, no one owns me anything. No one owns the socalled newbies anything either. But I just have to clear my mind. We move. Shalom!

I remember how this journey started lol... one of my domain name sold through epik escrow and he made a request that if gets a sizeable registeration on Epik from Nigeria, he will consider picking representative from Nigeria...

Really? I said hold my beer...

One announcement on Namepros and Epik was flooded by other Nigerians and this blew him away... The one that shocked me after that was when I discovered one Nigerian holding a strategic position within Epik.

Epik is a nice place to be really and I will do a thread on how to list your domain there because I realised that many people here shy away from listing their domain names on there because it is not so simple like we have on DAN, but for sake of failed transactions at Dan, which seems to have become custom there, having Epik list your domain name is a huge flex!
