Gbawe: You make some good points which are addressed already. The tablets will not browse the net because they are internet-disabled. Only specific educational materials and games are preloaded. The Operating system only needs to be one that prevents uploads of unauthorised material and it will be impossible for anyone to import any material not of an educational nature on to the tablet.I'm glad that it's internet-disabled. If they really want to sustain this project, then they should consider the issue of uploading unauthorized materials. Thanks for the clarification. |
This is a good development but I hope it won't be counterproductive. I can see angry birds and fruit Ninja games on the tablet. I expected them to make the tablets strictly for studying. Most of these children are not disciplined enough to know that there's time to play and study. Before you know it, NFS,PES,FIFA e.t.c will flood the gadget alongside with some musical videos and probably porns. My boss's son was banned from using his father's laptop until he finishes secondary school when it became evident that he was using it to watch movies, play games at the expense of his studies. |
Well, maybe texaco1 shouldn't have compared them with American police but if you read his comment again, you will realise that it's not absolutely senseless. |
J12: You are talking nonsense.Okay, let's have your opinion. |
Wendyslim: . You no hear the name? Na foreigner wey don Tay for 9ja so na automatic citizen him be. How I wish na so dem dey do 9ja for foreign country too.Did you finish reading the story at all? I think the name "Santos Korie" came about because they found some foreign passports in his vehicle probably bearing that name. According to the story, it was later gathered that his real name was "Onyekachi Korie". Seems to me like he had double Identity. If he was still alive, he would have to do some explaining. |
The story later confirmed that the driver was a Nigerian so why "foreigner" in the headline again? These journalists sef-always deceiving people to buy papers. sailorXY: “The policemen were talking to him, butSome people are just too arrogant. We all crave for feeling of importance and the only way you can do this to avoid their nasty behaviour is to cooperate with them. Answer their questions and if need be like someone has said, give them money and you can go in peace. Most of them are a bunch of frustrated people who never wanted the job but ventured because they had no choice. You will therefore further aggravate their frustration in them by makin them feel like a piece of rag. Thank God the IGP is working tirelessly to curb extortion in the police and I will leave him to do it. I won't help to stop it by sacrificing my life. So, to those who enjoy speaking grammar with them, abeg na Naija be dis o. Rest in Peace, korie. |
She looks fragile. Can she bend down without breaking into two? These oyinbo sef, dem go just dey do rubbish to their body. |
chccho: Nigerians always complaining, wats ur biz if dey use jets as their police cars,is it ur money? or are the tax payers complaining to u?Please relax now. This is just a mere thread for discussion. You don't have to attack anybody and if you must, do it gentlemanly. Or do you want to tell me that you've never discussed issues that have no direct effect on your life before? Agreed, it is none of our business and whatever we say here won't make them discontinue it. But the truth of the matter is that the policy will be counterproductive. A police that puts his car on a sudden burst of speed in q bid to catch up with an offender whose car is moving above speed limit jeopardises his life, offender's and that of passer-by. The recent Ikeja-Along incident is a good example. I believe there are better ways of nabbing them than putting lives at risk. Moreover, there are some usual cars fast enough to do the job. I think they are just showing how rich they are. lol at those begging to be arrested in order to have a feel of the ride. |
ophilly: Exactly, this is gross misuse of tax payers money. Yes, they have the money, instead of spending it on frivolities like this, why can't they assist poor countries like "Nigeria"Who told you that Nigeria is poor? The fact that a person appears poor doesn't mean he's poor. Forget the budget of N4.5T. This country makes far more than that in a year. You have to be in the oil and gas sector to know this and our leaders will never let it out. Why do you think the PIB is yet to be made law? I almost said that any country that gives Nigeria money is foolish but they are not because we all know why they do it in most cases. Your dear country has the financial muscle do exactly what Dubai has done but our corrupt leaders won't because they don't want you to know how rich your country is and they prefer such money ends in their pockets. So my brother, Nigeria is not poor. Our problem is corruption. I agree with you on the extravagance. Why waste money on sports cars for the police. Shey na formula 1 dem wan dey do for busy road ni? |
Too many repetitions leading to a lengthy article. I think this man has a point but without a solid evidence, he can't be arrested. Having said that, I know with time, he'll be exposed if he actually has a hand in it. Apparently, the office of the president is now farther from him than it was in 2011. But it's so cruel for him to grieve over Boko Haram's losses and ignore that of their victims. |
N50 billion kini? These guys are clowns. Do they even have evidence that the compound is not theirs? If the FG has compelling evidence against them, their own don pafuka. Dem wan come collect N50b, N50b ko N50t ni. Even common N25m, Baba suwe nefa collect. |
And so? Na she go be the first to fall for stage? This one no be news jare. Besides, wey the pix? |
Hmnnnn....all these gbeborun sef. Nawa for una. |
Smart girl! I like you Jare. "Do unto others what you would naturally want them to do to you" This is the kind of things that happen when when you don't believe/consider this philosophy. I'm sure this useless man will be infuriated seeing a male talking to his daughter let alone sex. |
lord_mayor: The screen only does that if you use a fake charger .. With the original charger and true voltage it works just fineYou could be right with the voltage but I'm still using the original charger that came with the phone. I think I'll check the voltage level when next I charge it. Definitely, the charger is not the culprit here. |
Digatron: guys, whoever dat said f7 heats and cannot be used while charging is lying. am telling u d fact, Techno improved a lot with f7. as am typing this, it is charging and no heat up at all. I stay at illorin u can come and confirmMy guy, your emoticons are not showing on your screen shot. E be like say u don set your browser not to download images. Well, I understand-the little MB must be judiciously used. |
Hencruz: for guys already using this f7 is true u cannot use it while charging it and it also gets over heated after prolonged use?I use xperia arc s and whenever I charge it, the screen touch capability malfunctions. This happens most times but sometimes, the screen works fine. I think it has to do with Android Software. Concerning the heat, it could be your fluctuating network signal. For instance, etisalat and airtel are two terrible networks in my area. When I was using etisalat, my phone was always hot after browsing for some few minutes. I noticed that the signal goes of and on while internet access also switches from 3G, H and E. I suspected that this could be the problem. So I changed to Glo, a more stable network. Ever since then, my phone's temperature has remained normal even though I browse for several hours. I understand that heavy usage can heat up your phone but this is another area to consider in solving the problem. |
If AY they call Tuface father of all nations, wetin im go call this one? |
ITbomb: The 11th Lesson To Note From LUPEY:Well, your observations may be correct but I'm certainly not one of those people. Now that you have itemized some subjective reasons why Lupey won, could you please also itemize why you think your favourite contestant deserved the crown? |
bennyraz: D-ex, you can't correct that insinuation!! seun came late that was why!Guy, I disagree. Even if Seun came early, that girl will still win. This was a different beauty contest. I commend the effort of all her campaign managers. They did well but believe me, that girl would still have won if she had no one to campaign for her. She had everything going on for her. From her physical appearance to the brilliance she displayed with the interview questions. Infact, D-explorer has said it all. |
kITA TITA: I like him too. He's not pretentious. He is blunt and sincere. Besides, OBJ means well for Nigerialol...Omota gba ni baba yi sha. Like you said, he's not pretentious. I even have a video of him taking garri and epa. Very funny man. |
IvyBlue: I wonder how you take something from your bra without them seeing it ....they should focus on the lapsYou nefa see anything at all. Some people are very smart to the extent that you will look but you won't see. |
Sorry guys, off topic. I was composing this post a while ago on the grand finale for the females but as soon as I clicked on "submit" the next page told me the thread has been locked. Ogugua, take time o. Either you like it or not, I must air my view thus posting it here. As per the nominations, me I no know anybody hia o. Make una choose una sef, when the time comes, we go vote based on the usual criteria-una know now. lalaosky: Congrats to all contestants and special congrats to LUPEY.... You rock girlJust woke up now and I'm glad my LUPEY won. Congrat girl! The first day I set my eyes on her picture at the bottom after all other contestants' pix have been displayed, I knew she will carry the day. She's beautiful and that lovely dark skin (pls, don't tone/bleach your skin o) oh lorddddddd, what about that killer body structure, very adorable. It's impossible to see her and not look at her twice. She further convinced me yesterday with the way she killed those questions one after the the other. As soon as I finished reading her responses, I didn't hesitate and cast my vote on page 12 or their about. If you don't have a problem with comprehension and you don't want to follow the crowd by waiting for the thread to grow first to know what majority think, I expected you to have voted for her immediately. Some said her responses were too lengthy and I put it to you that there's a difference between an epistle that is boring and interesting. Hers is the later and I can image how all of you will be gazing at her mouth if it was a live interview. Again, some said she flipped some books and I also ask that is there a rule against any contestant researching to come up with a catchy set of answers? If there was something I could change and encourage, it will be the habit of reading and researching because we lack it. The questions were basically to determine how intelligent our contestants are and Lupey displayed hers with them. EOD! To all other contestants, you girls also did well. Congrat too you too. You are also beautiful. This is my first participation and I have really enjoyed myself. I look forward to the Males' competition. Enjoy your reign Lupey! |
lol @monkeys, very hilarious animals. |
Policewoman: Why are people just putting punctuation marks (. ,)dem dey reserve space because they can't think fast and make sensible comments immediately. It will take them a whole year to think. |
One year?! That was one hell of a pile. Can't imagine, that was real agony. |
Wow, very impressive. You certainly nailed those questions though I would've prefered an oral interview where each contestant would have less than 10 seconds to respond to each question. You're are indeed beautiful and for this reason, I vote..........................LUPEEEEEEEY. I admire your humility in venturing into other professions that are usually considered as a no-go-area for most graduates. This is a sign of sure breakthrough. No be all be prayer and fasting. All the best in life. |
Phoenix6278: Bolt and I are second today. He was beaten by 0.01 second by Gatlin, I was beaten by a minute by 3ace. We live to fight another day.lmao! l knew "........" can't be your comment. But really is there a reward for being first to comment? Why are some dudes so crazy about it? |
Oh, what a pity. look at him looking with disbelief. I hope this is not the beginning of the end of your reign. Whatever has a beginning must surely have an end. Well done Gatlin. |
LesbianBoy: See how UGLY they both look especially wizkid's girlfriend! *spits*I'm sure you meant the opposite. |
dridowu: I love boli , roasted plaintain superbMe too. just add one chilled orobo and your belle go swell like inflated tyre. Throughout the day, you shall know no hunger. |
The world of animals is always interesting to watch. I was at one First Bank branch last week and the TV was tuned to NatGeo wild. The documentary was all about Crocodiles hunting their preys from the water. All other land animals usually go close to the river bank to drink water when they are thirsty but as soon as these crocodiles sight them, they swim and hide underneath the water to where their targets are. They then grab them with their sharp teeth till their prey can no longer breath. They attacked all animals including the Elephants, Zebras, antelopes(the easiest prey of all), monkeys, lions e.t.c. The monkeys' scene was the most hilarious while the Lions lived up to expectation. Everybody in the banking hall was deeply engrossed and entertained despite the fact that we spent several minutes before we could perform our transaction. Seems the bank has found a solution to make their hasty customers patient by keeping them busy with this interesting channel. Me sef, I no gree comot for bank after I don collect my money. |
