If there's a party called Kidnappers' association of Nigerian and its platform can actualise their dreams, they'll certainly join. They have no values at all and I hope he'll be loyal to his new party!

You guys are right but it has nothing to do with civilized people as bokohalal puts it. It's pure custom as the yorubas believe that the death of a younger one irrespective of the age of the deceased is a sorrowful death to the older one. Hence, he's not expected to join in the burial ceremony and if he must be present in some cases, he's not expected to wine and dine with others.

No one is saying he should not enjoy his life; I mean he worked for it and it's his money. But when you keep buying stuff meant for same purpose over and over again, it becomes a problem.
