CelebritiesI Am Not A Wife Material, I Am A Feminist – Lady Says As She Smokes Shisha by 3Ebisco(op): 6:35am On May 22, 2018
A Nigerian lady and sex therapist, Angela Nwosu nas revealed on social media why she’s not a wife material. She took to Facebook with pictures of herself smoking shisha and the below lengthy post.

Read her post.

I am not a Wife Material!

All of the pictures I’ve seen on social media depicting wife material are of women cooking alone, doing all of the cleaning and doing their “womanly duties.” Don’t get me wrong, there are two different roles in relationships that one partner will be better at than the other. Me, proudly smoking shisha and not afraid to post it on a platform as big as Facebook, shows that I am not a wife material, I hate that word, with reckless abandon. Girls are forming and pretending, not being themselves, all to be termed a wife material and land a husband living their lives just to please the society and painfully, publicly stand on a morality higher ground, while doing terrible things in secret. The only way I survive on earth is being myself and not what society wants me to be, na only me waka come.
And yes, the shisha pot belongs to me.

I am not a wife material, I am a feminist - Lady says as she smokes shisha

No, I am not married and no, I am not a feminist, but I’m a firm believer that relationships are a team effort. To make a relationship work, responsibilities of the household must be shared. I’m all for cooking and burning down the house together. This is the 21st century and there are so many more opportunities for men and women than there have been in the past.

Like I said, I’m not a wife material. If I ever get married, I’m not turning into your slave just to be ‘a perfect wife material’ I’m not your mother, nor will I ever be. I’d much rather call in a pizza and watch movies than slave over a meal that requires 3 hours of my time to prepare. If your friends are over to hang out with you and watch the game, I’d rather be sitting on the couch yelling at the T.V. too, than catering to you and your friends. I also won’t expect you to be the only one supporting our family. I’m not broke and Amadioha isn’t taking care of me for nothing, ighotago?

I’m not your typical girl or typical girlfriend, I am extremely different and I definitely won’t be your typical wife. I won’t wake you up with the smell of breakfast, because chances are, if it’s a weekend, I’m sleeping until 12pm. I will probably burn at least one piece of food every time I cook for you and then proceed to tell you we’re going to eat out and do shisha afterwards. For your birthday, I’d rather buy you Play Station 4 that we can play together, than buying or making you something more sentimental. When you wake up next to me, you won’t see Sleeping Beauty. You’ll see that my mouth will be dry of no lipstick from the previous day, you will always see my spots clearly, my eyes will be partially open and my hair will look like ike okuko.

I don’t have unrealistic expectations for a husband to be “hubby material,” and I don’t want someone to have unrealistic expectations of me to be “wife material.” I know that people have their faults and it’s hard to live with someone no matter how much you love them. I don’t expect my future spouse to have to pay for everything we have just like I hope he doesn’t expect me to cater to his every need.

Who makes these rules anyway? These rules for what is wife or husband material and what is not? I’m not even “feminizing” here, just wondering why we tend to subscribe to the notion that a certain set of qualities are desirable for marriage. That a girl doing shisha is wayward, an ashawo and a disgrace to womanhood, therefore, will never get married. There’s a statement my mother says “as our faces are different, so also are our needs different”. What Mr Okoli requires in a wife may be completely different from what Mr Okonkwo wants and for Miss Angie and Miss Doris, their list of requirements will also differ by a sharp margin.

Dear future husband,
I will be your best friend, your support system, your spouse, your partner in crime but more importantly your ashawo. I won’t be your second mother or your babysitter. And we definitely won’t just exist in the same house. We will be 50+ years old and still be attending concerts, watching Boondocks, while drinking cheap wine and taking spontaneous trips to the beach.

PoliticsAPC Congress: Party Reschedules Enugu Exercise After Violence by 3Ebisco(op): 8:16am On May 20, 2018
The All Progressives Congress, APC, has rescheduled its Enugu State congress for today, Sunday.

DAILY POST reports that the exercise, which held across the 36 States of the Federation and the FCT, was disrupted midway into the accreditation of delegates at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu, venue of the exercise.

Thugs had marched into the venue and chased everybody away, including the members of the congress committee sent from the National Secretariat of the party and the INEC officials.

But for the quick intervention of security officials, several party members in the likes of former Senate President, Chief Ken Nnamani, ex Governor of Enugu State, Barr. Sullivan Chime, national vice chairman of the party, Mr. Emma Eneukwu, the Director General of the Voice of Nigeria, Mr. Osita Okechukwu, the State’s party chairman, Dr. Ben Nwoye, a party chieftain, Emperor Baywood Ibe, among others would have been mobbed.

The violent attack was launched as soon as Nigeria’s foreign affairs minister, Mr. Geoffrey Onyeama arrived the venue.

Following the incident, the exercise came to an abrupt end, as party members scampered for safety.

However, a competent source told DAILY POST Saturday night that the party has rescheduled the congress for today, Sunday.

The source, while describing the action of the thugs as unfortunate, said the party was not ready to be cowed by the action of total strangers.

“The most annoying thing is that the people doing these things are not among those who laboured and nurtured this party to its current level.

“These are people who by chance found their way into the party and now want it dead by all means. We are not going to allow them.

“We have been raising alarm over their activities but all Nigerians have seen it today,” the party source said.

“The funny thing is that there is nothing that causes a fight between Tuface and me. If we have a misunderstanding, we make fun of it and settle it. That is the beauty of our friendship.
Whenever we have a problem, we make fun of it and resolve the issue. We argue and it is more of a hobby for us but we realise that we must not always agree on an issue.

We have never had a quarrel over women or music. When it comes to music, we connect greatly with our inspirations. We connect greatly.

Money has never been an issue between me and anybody. It is not that I do not like money but I do not let it define who I am or erase some things about my personality. It is very important to uphold some things and stick by them. But for money, it will only come and go”, Sound Sultan said.

PoliticsI’ll Create 7 Million Jobs For Nigerian Youths, Says Johnson Edosomwan by 3Ebisco(op): 5:24am On May 18, 2018
Founder, Nigeria Democratic Congress Party (NDCP) and presidential aspirant for the 2019 election, Dr. Johnson Edosomwan, has said that he would create over seven million jobs for Nigerian youths each year if elected as the president of Nigeria come 2019. Speaking during an exclusive interview with THISDAY in Lagos recently, the Edo State-born businessman and philanthropist, said these jobs would be created in multidimensional facets, adding that there would be job creation in manufacturing, healthcare, education, infrastructure, roads and so forth.

“We would create at least seven million jobs per year. And also we want to create multidimensional industry, we want to move away from just relying on oil as the only source we use for our revenue, we want to manufacture. We want to start manufacturing our own cars and motorcycles here in Nigeria. We have Nigerians that have the power and training to do that. The reason why we don’t have industries here is because investors are running away due to lack of electricity. We want to create solar energy, wind energy, hydroelectricity and even nuclear energy, if we can,” he noted.
Edosomwan who claimed that the problems that Nigeria is facing at the moment, are problems, he has solved all through his life, noted, “I have done that in large corporations, organisations and countries and in the course of these I have solved all sorts of problems and I can do the same if I am elected the president of Nigeria.”

“I am a pioneer in the whole issue of leadership and so I know how to lead and manage people. But I also know how to follow; I know how to build teams and how to work with diverse group of people. We are a very diverse country with people from different tribes and religions and I have the ability to bring these various groups of people together to work for the nation,” he added.

Edosomwan who said he would be working with a six point agenda, that would afford opportunities for more jobs in the country, noted that the lack of electricity has been the major drawback in the economic growth of the nation. “The reason we don’t have industries here is because investors are running away due to lack of electricity. We want to create solar energy, wind energy, hydroelectricity and even nuclear energy, if we can. All of these options are in the open onto the table.”

“Right now in every facet of Nigeria, you only have 15 per cent productivity, 85 per cent of the productivity is wasted because they lack electricity to do their work. And then we don’t even have a good telephone system, so how can you really create a good economy? The roads are not good, so we want high speed rail. I was going from Ikeja to the airport and it took us two and half hours sweating, a journey that would have take about five minutes. So those are the issues that we want to deal with. The average Nigerians are suffering and we want to turn their suffering to success,” he noted.

PoliticsLagos Police To Prosecute Hospitals Over Rejection Of Gunshot Victims by 3Ebisco(op): 6:57am On May 17, 2018
The Lagos State Police Command wednesday vowed to prosecute any hospital in the state who rejects gunshot victims on the premise of lack of police report.

The state Commissioner of Police, Imohimi Edgal, was reacting to the recent death of a gunshot victim, one Adebayo Akinwumi, after he was rejected by three Lagos hospitals.

The deceased, who was a senior engineer with an information and communications technology company, was shot and wounded by armed robbers in his house at Ofada-Mokoloki, Ogun State.

According to the CP, he was said to have been taken to Reddington Hospital, Ikeja for treatment only to be refused admission on the unlawful and inexcusable grounds that there was no police report.

Edgal said: “The command considers the action of the hospital as cruel; perhaps, an indication that the hospital management may be ignorant of the ‘Compulsory Treatment and Care of Victims of Gunshot Act, 2017.’

“In the light of this development, the command wishes to inform all medical practitioners in Lagos State, that the Act demands that every hospital in Nigeria whether public or private shall accept or receive for immediate and adequate treatment with or without police clearance any person with a gunshot wounds.

“The Act, however requires the hospital treating such a patient to report the fact to the nearest police station within two hours of commencement of treatment.”

In a statement by the state police public relations officer, Chike Oti said: “The Commissioner of Police, Imohimi Edgal, saddened by the allegation against the Reddington Hospital, has directed all Area Commanders and Divisional Police Officers in Lagos State to henceforth arrest and diligently prosecute any medical practitioner who rejects a gunshot victim on the ground of no police report.

“The CP wants doctors to note that the Act recommends a five-year-jail term for any person, hospital or authority who stands by or omits to do his bit which results in the unnecessary death of any person with bullet wounds. “

PoliticsCourt Dismisses Suit To Stay Judgment Nullifying Omo-agege’s Suspension by 3Ebisco(op): 4:26pm On May 16, 2018
By Alex Enumah in Abuja
Justice Nnamdi Dimgba of the Federal High Court, Abuja, on Wednesday dismissed a suit seeking to stop the execution of judgment which nullified the Senate’s suspension of the senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District, Ovie Omo-Agege.
Justice Dimgba, had on May 10, while delivering judgment on a fundamental rights suit brought by Senator Omo-Agege, nullified his suspension by the Senate and ordered the payment of all his outstanding salaries and allowances within the suspension period.
Justice Dimgba, though noted that the Senate has powers and was right to initiative disciplinary measures against Omo-Agege for acts considered at variance to the Senate rules, his subsequent suspension was wrong because it was not done in accordance with the rule of law.
In addition, the court held that Omo-Agege’s suspension for a period of 90 legislative days was contrary to the Senate rules, which prescribed 14 days and consequently declared it a nullity.
Justice Dimgba, who stated that his decision was based on the omnibus prayers of the plaintiff, however, denied Omo-Agege reliefs 1-7 prayed for in his suit.
As a result of this, the Senate said it would appeal the judgment and approached the court with a motion seeking to stay Justice Dimgba’s judgment on the matter.
However, delivering ruling on the application argued on behalf of the Senate and Senate President by Mahmud Mogaji (SAN), Justice Dimgba dismissed the application on grounds that it was misdirected and lacking in merit.
According to him, the said application seeking to stay judgment on the nullification of the suspension order, did not target the May 10 judgment.
The judge noted that an application must align with a judgment, and not outside it, adding that the instant application did not target the judgment that vacated the suspension order, rather on other decision which he declined the reliefs sought by the plaintiff, Omo-Agege.
“An application must target decision reached by the court. This application is targeted at different decision reached by this court. I hereby dismiss the application for lack of merit,” the court held.
Dimgba recalled that he had dismissed, among other reliefs sought by the plaintiff, that the Senate should not punish him for any offence.
The judge said that if an application is appealing against reliefs he refused to grant is of no significant to the vacation of the suspension order.
“The judgment of 10th of May declined some of the reliefs of the plaintiff. I have not seen reason of this application. I hereby dismiss it for lacking in merit,” he held.
Justice Dimgba on May 10 nullified the suspension of Omo-Agege from the Senate for 90 legislative days.
Omo-Agege had headed to the court to seek redress following his suspension against the Senate (1st defendant), the Senate President (2nd defendant), and the Attorney General of the Federation (3rd).
By the suit marked FHC/ABJ/CS/314/2018, Omo-Agege had challenged his suspension from the Senate, saying it was illegal.
Dimgba, delivering judgment on the suit, held that the suspension of the senator during the pendency of the suit was unconstitutional and an affront on the judiciary.
The court noted that it was wrong for the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions to suspend Omo-Agege for going to court after he had apologised over his comments against the Senate.
Justice Dimgba held that the decision of the Senate to suspend Omo-Agege for instituting the suit was a clear breach of Section 4(cool and 6(6b) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as amended.

PoliticsEkiti Guber: I’m Not Coming Back To Revenge – Fayemi Opens Up by 3Ebisco(op): 8:25pm On May 13, 2018
The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship flag bearer in Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, has said his desire to return to power is to better the lives of the citizenry and not to seek revenge against any individual or group.

He said good governance, which gives priority to a better standard of living will return to the state, when an APC government returns to power in October.

Fayemi said his victory at the APC governorship primary on Saturday has signaled the beginning of the battle to rescue the state from bad governance, poverty and desecration of Ekiti values allegedly wrecked on the people by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) administration.

He made the remarks in his acceptance speech after winning the APC governorship primaries, beating 31 other contestants at a keenly-contested battle for the party’s ticket at Damlek Event Centre, Oke Ila, Ado-Ekiti, Saturday night.

The politician was declared winner by the Ekiti State APC Governorship Primary Electoral Committee Chairman, Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura of Nasarawa State.

Al-Makura, who commended all stakeholders for their contribution to the success of the primary election, handed Fayemi the Certificate of Return as the APC candidate for the July 14 poll, expressing optimism that the party would coast home to victory.

Making his speech after he was declared winner, Fayemi, who was joined by fellow aspirants on the podium, allayed the fears of the people of the state that he is on revenge mission on the electoral defeat he suffered in the June 21, 2014 election.

Fayemi also used the opportunity to apologize to all those offended by some policies his first administration executed, noting that his desire to seek Ekiti people’s votes again was hinged on an unfinished business to make their lives better.

The former governor urged party members and supporters to let go of all grievances in the course of the struggle for the governorship ticket and urged fellow party faithful to set aside differences and face the election as a united family.

He said: “Let me say this to Ekiti people who will wake up in the morning to hear the news of the result of my being the party’s gubernatorial candidate in the July 14 election, I want you, Ekiti people, to be rest assured that I am not on any vengeance mission.

“In accepting this onerous responsibility, I have a profound sense of unfinished business in making poverty history in this land.

“In the course of my previous service in this state, there are certainly acts of omission and commission in our quest to rapidly develop our state.

“This is an opportunity to apologize to those who might have been offended by our policies and programmes. Together, we will take our state to greater heights.”

Fayemi hailed fellow aspirants for providing the stiff competition that enriched the race for the APC ticket, stressing that “all of them are eminently qualified to be governor of Ekiti State and will do better than characters presently at the helm.”

He announced that he was immediately setting up a Candidate Advisory Council, comprising all the co-aspirants to share experience, plan ahead and ensure victory for the party at the governorship poll.

His words, “In all electoral contests, tempers often rise and nerves are frayed. I therefore humbly appeal to all my supporters, and to my co-contestants and their supporters, to let go of past differences as we forge ahead to a new dawn.

“The first major step is the immediate setting up of the candidate advisory council, comprising all the co-aspirants.”

Fayemi said further: “But the battle has only just begun – the contest to reclaim our land and restore our values. The fight to ensure our great party comes out victorious in the July 14, 2018 general election.

“Without a doubt, Ekiti is in critical need of rescue. It is imperative that we urgently commence the task of purging ourselves of the bad reputation we have earned in recent years and restore good governance to the state.

“In my valedictory address in 2014, I said that future administrations would be judged by the standards we set during our time in office.

“It should be clear to any observer that over the past four years, Ekiti has retreated from the progressive values that we espoused in office and our grand ideals of human development.

“We have seen the entrenchment of the disdain for elders, traditional institutions, and all forms of constituted authorities.

“Instead of continuing the quest for freedom from ignorance, disease and want, what we have seen is a paradigm that deepens captivity to these ills.

“In short, the last four years has called into question all that we stand for as a people. The timeless values of honour, dignity, nobility and civility encapsulated in the Omoluabi ethos have been eroded.”

PoliticsForeign Medical Trip: Between Buhari’s Privacy And The Public Right To Know by 3Ebisco(op): 4:10am On May 13, 2018
In spite of President Muhammadu Buhari and his handlers’ thinking, social critics insist that the public has a right to know what ails him and the cost to the nation, writes Shola Oyeyipo

President Muhammadu Buhari’s trip to London last week for a meeting with his doctor without a clear agenda has again opened the debate on the right of privacy of the president and the right of the public, whose money is used to finance his medical trips, to know what ails him.

While his handlers insist that only the president could state his health challenges publicly, social critics argue that as the chief executive of the nation, he could not keep the people in the dark about his personal health challenges since his actions affect all sectors of the country.
Since Buhari began his foreign medical tourism two years ago, many Nigerians have expressed dissatisfaction with the unsuccessful efforts of presidency officials to shroud his ailment in secrecy. Often, the real purpose of the trips are masked until the media unearth them through independent sources.

The current tips to London is not different. The inquisitiveness of Nigerians was once again aroused when the president made a “technical stopover” in London after his recent meeting with US President Donald Trump in Washington. And four days after returning to the country, he went back to London to see his doctor.

After doing the needful – conveying the appropriate letters to the National Assembly – what Nigerians got were the scanty information released by Femi Adesina and Garba Shehu, the president’s Special Adviser and the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, respectively.

Shehu explained that Buhari’s trip was informed by doctor’s advice, when the president was in London for the technical stopover.

“In the course of the technical stop-over for aircraft maintenance in London on his way back from Washington last week, the President had a meeting with his doctor. The doctor requested the president to return for a meeting, which he agreed to do. President Buhari will return on Saturday, May 12th,” he said in a statement.

Adeshina, on his part, heightened the anxiety of the already very suspicions Nigerians, when he declined to say precisely on Channels Television on Tuesday, if the president would actually return as promised.

Though he assured Nigerians that there was no cause for alarm over the president’s health, because he merely travelled for a ‘review’, however, when he was asked about the possibility of the president returning on the fourth day as scheduled, his response was that only God has the guarantee over such matters.

A few hours earlier, Adesina, during a phone-in-interview on Channels Television Breakfast Programme, Sunrise Daily, had said only the president could reveal details of his ailment.
He said, “It is something private and personal. The fact that a man is a president does not remove his right and privileges to privacy. So, unless Mr. President comes out voluntarily and willingly to tell the country that ‘this is what I have suffered from, this is what I have been treated for’, even the medical doctor does not have the right to say it.”

Strong and debatable argument, no doubt, but critics say the fact remains that he is no longer a private citizen. He is more or less a symbol of Nigeria. So, it is, therefore, not abnormal for the people to want to know what is going on with him. For them, a lot of Nigerians, knowing his predicament would pray for his full recovery.

In any case, they argue, the monies being used to transport and treat him belongs to the public, contending that tax payers are entitled to know what their money is being spent on.
“One big question the president needs to ponder over is, if the same condition warranting his consistent trips to London had afflicted an ordinary Nigeria, how would such person have survived?” asked a public analyst.

Last year, Buhari spent 104 days in London for medicals. Many Nigerians grumbled about it, with several of them asking him to step aside if the pressure of the office was telling adversely on his health.

It was due to the secrecy that surrounded his 2017 vacations that at a point, the Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, claimed that Buhari was suffering from voice impairment and was on life support in a West End London Hospital.

He dismissed an audio message of the president greeting people for the Eid-el-Fitri in Hausa language, saying it was “absolute lies,” and that “the audio message was only a damage-control strategy aimed at further deceiving Nigerians.”

The president was eventually vindicated, when he returned and recovered over a period, but for every such trip characterised by inadequate information or calculated silence, the people also felt justified to take speculations as truth. A former aide to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, reacting to the development said, “So President Buhari’s plane was big enough to fly to the US without a ‘technical stopover,’ but too small to return to Nigeria without doing a ‘technical stopover’ in London? It took two days for the ‘technical’ work. And it is a coincidence that his doctors happen to be in London.”

Expectedly, reactions have continued to trail Adesina’s update that only God could determine the president’s return as scheduled. Steve Busayo, a public commentator, asked, “Is it by force to do a second term?” He, therefore, urged Buhari to retire back to his home in Daura, Katsina State.

One Sam Orakpe was even more concerned about the handlers of the president’s publicity, because to him, managing the president isn’t an easy task, particularly on issues like this.

According to him, “Buhari’s image makers are over working themselves by trying to manage what is not manageable. The Nigerian citizens in London are doing a fantastic job for us by always chasing the man away from London. Must he be president at all cost?”

Though pro-Buhari commentators have argued that like anybody, the president could fall sick and get well and as such, politics should not come into that, but a quick check among Nigerians, especially on the social media, shows that the people acknowledged that Buhari has some health challenges and age is no longer on his side and ‘must’ constantly see his doctor.

But their anger is that beyond the recognisable lies they are getting from the presidency, they are appalled by the failure of the Buhari administration to upgrade the nation’s health facilities in spite of his huge health challenges that constantly take him to London.

CelebritiesShocking Gift Nigerian Mom Gives Her Daughter On Her Birthday by 3Ebisco(op): 2:02pm On May 12, 2018
Nigerian mothers sure know how to be shocking, savage and extra all at the same time! When it comes to showing love, it is unarguable that Nigerian mothers are simply awesome

A young lady shared a photo of the birthday present her mother gave her sixteen years old sister. The present which has set the internet agog can be seen to look big eventhough there wasn’t much effort to make it appear fanciful.

She wrapped the gift in a black polythene bag and attached a note which read;

Happy Birthday to my charming Angel. The best is what you deserve. God bless you for me. I love you, Mum.

Upon opening the birthday present, sixteen packs of sanitary towel was discovered! Though hilarious, it takes a well thought out plan to pull this off, considering the love between the mum and the teenage daughter, the symbolism of the number of pads to her age, and the price of all sixteen of them at a time where recession has led to a rise in the price of pads.

Both mum and daughter are excitedly serving some serious goals to the public

Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Cee-C has once again spoken on rumors of a past relationship with the show’s host, Ebuka Uchendu. This she did in an interview with Media Room where she revealed that no relationship existed between her and Ebuka who is a married man.

”This is one of the things that surprised me when I got out of Big Brother house because I never suggested that I and Ebuka dated. He is a married man for God’s sake.

The first time I mentioned Ebuka in the show was when he asked us of our role model and I kept saying he is, because he is a lawyer and so am I.

I kept wondering how he is relevant in the industry, despite not being an actor or an artist.

Cee-C speaks again on her relationship with BBNaija host, Ebuka

Cee-C further mentioned that they met before the show but it was at a beauty pageant which he was hosting.

I have met him outside the house, but it was not like a personal meeting, it was just during a beauty pageant he was hosting and I was a contestant. I remember I also had a business proposal and I wanted to work with him because he is a brand influencer.

I also remember I met him and did a presentation before the house, that was the only time I met him. It is possible he might not remember me cause he met a lot of people.

This even happened months before the show. When I was doing the Big Brother thing, he never contacted me and I didn’t either.”

CelebritiesSharia Court: Man Gets Five Strokes Of Cane For Divorcing Wife by 3Ebisco(op): 10:38pm On May 09, 2018
A Sharia Court sitting at Magajin Gari in Kaduna yesterday ordered that Idris Sai’du be given five strokes of cane for violation of the Islamic Law on divorce.

The judge, Mallam Dahiru Lawal also ordered the man to pay N5,000 to Hauwa Abdullah, his wife for abandoning her and wasting her time for so long.

The judge, who was irked at the respondent’s pronouncement of “I divorce my wife three times,” said it was not in line with Islamic practice.

He therefore ordered the respondent to be given five strokes of cane.

The complainant, Hauwa, had earlier told the court that her husband chased her out of her matrimonial home since last year and had never checked on her ever since.

“He asked me to leave his house since last year Ramadan, saying I should pack all my belongings and leave. It is almost a year now and he had never checked on me,” the complainant said.

Hauwa, who stated that they were not blessed with a child, added that she was in court to seek for divorce as she couldn’t be married to a man that didn’t care for her.

“I want this honourable court to compel my husband to divorce me as he is no longer interested in me,’’ she said.

In his response to the allegations, Sai’du said he ordered Hauwa to return home because “she has been communicating with her ex-husband which I am not comfortable with. I therefore divorce my wife three times.”

PoliticsNigeria Needs Transparent, Accountable Government To Sustain Development – Briti by 3Ebisco(op): 6:49pm On May 08, 2018
The British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Paul Arkwright, has said Nigeria cannot afford to backslide in its quest to institutionalise transparency in governance.

Speaking on Monday at an event organised to commence Nigeria’s Open Government Partnership, OGP, week, Arkwright said transparency was a necessity for sustainable development in Nigeria.

He said: “When citizens see how transparent and accountable their government is, it will be easier for them to trust their political leaders. Transparency helps to reduce corruption but secrecy enables corruption. Evidence shows that more transparent countries have higher foreign direct investments and lower foreign borrowing costs. Open governments are the best governments.

“It would take responsible leadership to ensure that next years elections reflect the will of the people matched by peaceful, free and fair electoral processes.”

The envoy further advocated the formation of virile civil groups and the strengthening of existing ones to keep all arms of government in check.

“Countries with strong CSOs have less corruption and better government and development in the interest of the citizens,” he said.

CelebritiesMarriage Slowed Down My Acting Career Says Uche Elendu by 3Ebisco(op): 11:25pm On May 07, 2018
Nigerian Nollywood actress Uche Elendu in a recent interview has disclosed the rough side her marriage has brought about in her acting career.

The actress who got married at the peak of her career saw a halt in her career as she was no longer giving in much to acting as she wanted to build her home first.

According to the Bible school graduate of salvation Ministries, she started her acting during her university days which was a challenge to her as she was always leaving the school to locations.

She further revealed that due to the presence of her father’s friend Larry Koldsweat she did not go through stress in getting movie roles as her first role was given to her by him.

She said; “I think I am one of the lucky ones because I didn’t really go through stress to get roles. I got my first role through my friend’s father, Larry Koldsweat, and things have just proceeded smoothly for me.

The only challenge I had was that I was in the university when I started my career; so, I often had to leave school to be on movie sets. Also, I got married when I got to the peak of my career and that slowed me down because I had to face my family and build a home.” Uche Elendu revealed.

PoliticsI Have No Plan To Dump APC, Ortom Restates by 3Ebisco(op): 7:45am On May 07, 2018
Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State has again denied any plan to dump the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The denial was contained in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Terver Akase, issued to journalists in Makurdi.

It said a media report on the governor’s purported plan to leave the APC was false, misleading and handiwork of detractors playing politics with the blood of the people.

”We read a report in a national daily of today (yesterday) which named Benue State Governor, Ortom as one of the APC leaders planning to defect to another political party.

”The report which is obviously sponsored is not only false but also misleading. The governor has no intention to leave APC for another party and has not consulted anyone on the matter.”

The statement stressed that Ortom, enjoys a cordial working relationship with other leaders of the party both at the local, state and national levels.

It said the main focus of the governor is to deliver greater benefits of democracy to his people including tackling the security challenges confronting them.

“There is no cause to warrant his defection to another party,” the statement stated.

It explained that Ortom’s stance of seeking justice over the invasion, killings and wanton destruction of property by suspected herdsmen was what any good leader ought to do.

The statement said the governor was appreciative of the efforts being made by President Muhammadu Buhari in ending the conflicts in the state.

According to the statement, the governor was fully aware that the killings in Benue State began during the past PDP-led administrations in the state.

”It must be noted that the killings predate the APC as a party and the present administration. The governor’s focus is on solving the problem in collaboration with other stakeholders.”

It added: “Fortunately, President Buhari has responded positively by sending troops and other security operatives to chase away the armed militia from Benue communities.”

The statement further dismissed insinuations that Ortom had fallen out of favour with other leaders of APC in the state, including Senator George Akume.

“The report is aimed at creating acrimony between the governor and the senator.

“Ortom was popularly elected to lead Benue State and he has demonstrated uncommon commitment and selflessness in justifying the confidence reposed in him.

“He, will therefore, not be distracted by baseless reports and rumour of defection.

”What is of greater concern to the governor now is how to stop the killings in the state and also tackle the humanitarian crisis that has displaced nearly 500,000 people.’’

It stated that the government was collaborating with the federal government on the rehabilitation and resettlement of the displaced persons.

Met one babe at a party two weeks ago we exchanged numba. She called me yesterday evening and told me shocking story of my life. She said “Aunty, do you know why I love you?” Few weeks ago, one nasty girl abused you and Toyin. You took it upon yourself because I expect people that are closer to Aunty Toyin to have stood for her despite the fact that you guys don’t mingle together. I saw the story you wrote for Toyin and I followed you on IG, the next thing I saw was you fighting someone that called Arike ugly.”

PoliticsShehu Sani Backs Buhari’s Rejection Of State Police by 3Ebisco(op): 8:28am On May 04, 2018
The Senator representing Kaduna Central District in the National Assembly, Shehu Sani has thrown his weight behind President Muhammadu Buhari’s rejection of the creation of state police.

MC EBISCO recalls that President Buhari, in an interview with Voice of America (Hausa Service) had said he was not convinced that state police was the solution to solving security challenges in the country.

“No I am not convinced. We should have solved the current insecurity in the North East and South South by now.

“Can the states be able to shoulder the burden if the Police? You cannot just give someone guns and ammunition, train him and refuse to pay him, you know what will eventually happen,” Buhari had said.

Reacting to the President’s remarks on Thursday, Sani in a post published on his Facebook page said that state police would give some governors opportunities to officially give their enlisted thugs uniforms and arms to oppress opposition figures and dissenting voices.

He wrote: “I commend PMB for his opposition to state police. Despite the weaknesses of Fed Police, a state police will be worse.

“It will simply be a force of evil at the disposal of state Governors,to be used to suppress perceived opposition and dissenting voices.

“State police means officially giving uniforms and arms to a Governor’s enlisted thugs.”

CelebritiesWhy Ban On Codeine Won’t Work – Femi Kuti by 3Ebisco(op): 8:19pm On May 03, 2018
Seun Kuti, son of late Afrobeat legend, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, has reacted to the federal government’s ban on the production of Codeine containing syrups in Nigeria.

MC EBISCO reports that the Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole, on Tuesday directed the National Agency for Food, Drug Administration and Control, NAFDAC, to ban with immediate effect further issuance of permits for the importation of codeine as active pharmaceutical ingredient for cough preparations.

Adewole said the directive became necessary due to the gross abuse of Codeine usage in the country.

But reacting through his Twitter handle, Kuti said the ban would not be effective as it only means that drug dealers will make more money.

He wrote: “Igbo has been banned since forever (unjustly) but e still dey everywhere.

“The reactionary ban of Codeine by the FG only means drug dealers will make more money from it. It can’t affect supply. #Bigpharma”.

PoliticsBuhari Currently In London Due To ‘Technical Stopover’ – Presidency by 3Ebisco(op): 5:32pm On May 03, 2018

The Presidency has, however, attributed his presence in the British capital to what it called “technical stopover.”

He said: “They (President Buhari and his close attendants) had a technical stopover in London. I am sure if you keep your ears to the ground, you will hear of his arrival soon.”

The presidential spokesman, however, did not give details of the ‘technical stopover’ but insisted it’s not something to worry about.

PoliticsReno Omokri Attacks Lai Mohammed For Saying Buhari’s Administration Has Defeated by 3Ebisco(op): 12:02am On May 03, 2018
Former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, has attacked the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, for saying the President Muhammadu Buhari led administration has defeated Boko Haram.

MC EBISCO reports that Lai Mohammed, while speaking with journalists after a media tour in the United States, US, explained that the present administration has defeated the terrorist group.

News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, quoted the Minister as saying that unlike the past administration, the insurgents were no longer in control of any territory, hence the declaration that they had been defeated.

Reacting through his Twitter handle on Wednesday, Omokri said the minister of Culture and Information should officially change his name to Lie Mohammed.

He, however, claimed that President Buhari today, admitted that Boko Haram still controls some territory in Nigeria.

He wrote, “Lai Mohammed should officially change his name to Lie Mohammed.

“Just 4 days ago he boasted that Boko Haram controls no territory and has been completely defeated only for his boss, President Buhari, to admit today that Boko Haram does in fact still control some territory.”
