winter: Hello guys Please does anyone know if there's a time frame btw status approved on cic profile and PUM. Cos I haven't received a PUM days after approved status. Please respond Thanks Got PUM a day after approved status while a number of people that I know got theirs after a week or so. CIC is unpredictable, you know. So it's difficult to predict the processing time. Don't worry, just relax. You will have it soon When did you get "approved" status on your CIC profile? |

XX01: The issue tire me. I know how I argued with my husband on this matter. He believes we should put everything because it is better to be safe than sorry. I believe the more not required information given the more likely that something could go wrong.
Left to him we would include birth certificates, CV, visa introduction letter (apart from ref letter) and so many others I can't remember. LOL @bolded |

Dhimmy: Please can I evaluate BSc and NIM as 2 or more certificates? I queried the thread but didn't get any satisfactory response. When NIM issue transcripts, do they reflect actual scores for each course or just "passed"? If it is the former, you may give it a shot. I think you should request for your transcript first. See if you can view a copy to make an informed decision. @bolded Note that the thread becomes enriched when members experienced an issue and share how the issue was resolved. For now, we can only offer suggestions especially when there is no categorical answer. |

Abby2017: Report technical problem and more importantly put a call through to CIC, it is too long a time and you should be worried. No, It is not because you submitted a day before, as long as you were still within your 90days limit when you submitted. I don't have the number to call @40manlappy or anyone else could be of help. Also @dtush had similar problem in the past, you can seek guidance from him/her. All the best. @bolabae: As advised here and also @Tspice2015, report it as a technical issue on CIC website, call CIC on +1 613-944-4000. You can also send a mail to Central Intake Office through centralized-intake-office@cic.gc.ca and tweet at them via @CitImmCanada. |

Oreoluwa08: Thanks @40manlappy, Just saw WES evaluated @Goldenjem 's ACA as 3 yrs bsc in canadian equivalency under the new syllabus as against d part 1 of this thread (page 238) WES evaluated Aca as 2 yrs bsc canadian equivalency (old syllabus) and the remark was that it cannot be seen as a completed canadian education. God bless. Welcome. Nice that you read up on Goldenjem's posts. Whatever you do, please make sure it's what you are fully convinced of and feel comfortable with. Cheers! |

Oreoluwa08: I completed my final exams this year (may) Is it confirmed that one can choose 2 or more certificates wit Bsc + ACA, this one everyone is warning about misrepresentation? Have you been inducted as an Associate? If yes, then you can claim ACA. If not, I assume that you would get a statement of result for your completed papers. With that plus your transcript, you can explore "2 or more certificates...." with your BSc. Afterall, people have been assessed with "to whom/"statement of result". BTW, what is the story about this misrepresentation @bolded? cc: Goldenjem |

Please this question is directed at my seniors that have gotten PPR, did you upload just the data page of your passport or did you upload all the visas and all the stamped pages in your passport?
Thank you for your help. Uploaded data page and all markings/stamps/visas on the current, valid passport.

uptown17: At what point can 1 claim 2 or more certificates under education. I know when u have ECA for OND + HND, u can pick that 2/more certs. How about some1 with BSC+ ICAN OR MSC+ICAN. Can 2/more certs be picked if WES evaluates both? If you have a MSc, you don't need to bother about 2 or more certificates which is higher than just a BSc. Only the highest qualification needs to be assessed in that case. On BSc +ICAN, you may attempt claiming 2 or more certificates provided you obtained the qualification under the new syllabus. Please refer to my previous posts. |

Bimpsy99: Oh thanks. Please does completing the final exams suffice or the ICAN membership is needed? Also. If the person has an A AT obtained over 4 years ago. Will that count for two or more alongside his bsc? In my humble opinion, it may be safe to assume that completion of final exams evidenced by transcript + statement of result should suffice. The person with AAT+BSc can give it a chance, no harm in trying. I don't have a categorical answer on that. Goldenjem's experience is just an eye-opener which made me to probe further on the issue. |

ICAN ProfessionalsAs Goldenjem's experience shows, someone who recently completed ICAN final exams may get the qualification assessed by WES as a 3 year degree program, particularly on the new syllabus.
Before now, ICAN results are either pass or fail. You never get to see the actual scores of the exams taken. This is also the case if you request for your transcripts from ICAN.
Apparently, this is why ICAN qualifications have not been getting the desired equivalency from assessment bodies. This appears to have changed under the new syllabus.
It is safe to conclude that qualifications obtained under the new syllabus can now get the equivalent of a 3 year degree programme in view of the new style of grading/transcripts where scores are shown.
Those with a BSc + ACA/ Final Exams Completed may now get their qualifications assessed as "two or more certificates..."
NB: Confirm equivalency from your chosen assessment body. cc: Bimpsy99, Garykasparov, cochtrane |

rossferno: I have about 80% of my POF in a money market account specifically ARM asset management for the past 4 months. I am confused whether to withdraw the money and keep in my personal bank account in preparation for ITA. I really don't want to write LOE for POF since I have the money already though in a non-traditional fixed deposit.
I had done IELTS with a decent score, but Lautech had left me hanging for ECA due to strike. Now that strike is over I want my POF to be well matured by the time I complete the ECA process, which put me on CRS score of 437, which I believe is competitive enough to get ITA. I know fixed deposit is very tenable but no sure of money market fund.
Thanks You should be fine with your POF in money market since it is easily accessible. A few people here (to be modest) have used it successfully as POF though I can't recall their monikers now. Just get a reference letter from ARM. All the best! |

Hw was your wife able to move from 65 to 90 in speaking in one month. Please I need advice. I cored 66, two times now. I need 79+
Thanks She practiced vigorously with the aid of the book "The Official Guide to PTE Academic" (comes with a CD-ROM) and took many mock tests. We got a headset with which she practiced Speaking and simulated live exam environment. We also benefited from some tips given by either Bnimz or Mctowe01. Will share once I locate the page. karyna123: HI, I have a worry. I sent my passport to Ghana 2 weeks ago, and received a notification on my email that I have a message in my EE profile. That was on the 8th, but I' yet to see the message in my profile. Is this something to worry about or should I contact CIC? if yes, how do I contact them? I would appreciate your response. Thanks You don't need to worry. Keep checking the "Final decision" part of your CIC account. It should change to "Your application was approved" after your passport has been stamped. You should expect the stamped passport not long after that. |
