Maybe you should "jejely" go with IQAS. They don't require additional verification apart from the transcripts that the institution sends.

There could be a few exceptions to the rule though. Some have shared on this thread how their institutions responded to WES promptly. So the problem is not WES.

Yours could be an exception....

Good morning fam, I encountered a little challenge during certificate evaluation with IQAS, a rep mailed me to state that my certificate wasn't clear (a part of it which shows the grade and date seems to be fading because of the material used for that part). I was asked to scan and send a clearer copy to the rep which I did, I tried to make it clearer by dimming the lights while scanning, I'm yet to get a response from them and the 30 business days has since elapsed. Any advice on what next to do? I've started the process of requesting for a new certificate from my alma mater tho. Seniors please help out here

Its possible that evaluation has been concluded. Give them a call, send a fax, etc, today. You may be pleasantly surprised

It appears so, especially for government owned universities in Nigeria based on the experiences that has been shared on this forum so far. Some have been on strike for months.

With IQAS, you know that barring any unforeseen circumstances, you will get your ECA in 30 working days. Mine was done in 9 working days early this year.

The challenge with WES is that most Nigerian institutions don't respond to enquiries on time.

However, if you have attended a private university in Nigeria and they have a vibrant workforce, you may explore WES. Of course, in all cases, follow-up is necessary.

Ok I'll continue with WES. I have a UK degree and Canadian, but in Canada, when you complete your course credits, you have to 'apply to graduate" to the University so they know you don't want to take more credits, unlike in the UK and Naija where you automatically get listed to graduate. I didn't do that and left because of other love matter . So I'm not claiming that one as no certificate was issued. It will be part of my personal history when I get to that bridge to account for those years though.

And yea I had to read up oh lol. You understand better when you research for yourself.

It has been noted that WES evaluate foreign qualifications faster.

The mail specifically asks that your docs be sent to Ghana and that's where u r to send it to, if u send it to naija office, OYO is your case. This is the address to post your docs to

That's the "Ready for Visa" email aka "PPR" (Passport Request). You have been rightly advised on where to send your passports to.

Please ensure that you follow IRCC's photo specifications. It is in the PDF document that was attached to the email. All the best!

Meanwhile, just gonna state this in the hope it's useful to someone. This thread has been incredibly helpful. It's a great resource. I can't overstate that. So many useful info lurking in several pages. Answers to unusual questions from ECA to PPR. Anyone starting out should certainly read through, even if hurriedly.

Congratz everyone who just got PPR.. I have a small question..

1) I intend to submit my 2 bank statements just to show how I transferred money from one account to another for the PR sake, although the POF is in treasury bills already. Pls note that I am yet to collect the treasury bills certificate. The issue is that, the bank statements have different address. One is my current address while the other was my former address (where u lived before) as at when I open the account. I know I can update my bank address detail but the issue is that my current house has 2 addresses (Old and new) because it is a corner piece.. The bank has told me to bring an utility bill to update my address but the problem is that all the utility bills carry the Particular address (Old) that I don't intend to use. The address I intend to use which is on my other docs, such as passport, ECA report, ielts etc is the second address (new). Pls what can I do in this instance...

* Should I get an affidavit clearly written that both addresses belong to the same house. So that I can present the utility bill and the affidavit. If yes, do you think the bank will recorgnise it and help me update the account with the other address (New)

* Will LOE be tenable to address this issue?

This should not be an issue unless you want to use the bank statement as a "proof of address". You may explain it in your LOE if that will make you sleep well at night

I just checked mine again and I realized that the two statements bear different addresses but it was never made an issue for the application.

Just try to obtain the treasury bill certificate so that you can include it in your POF. All the best!

I filled the one attached to the PPR mail

@folamingo To add to this, you may also write boldly on top of the form that there has been no changes in your family configuration.

Filling the form is recommended.
