For the 1 yr i served in yola i was a part of the HIV/AIDS CDS . . . and we did every single thing you just claimed no one does in Nigeria and even more. |

morenike09: my gosh David, you're unromantic!!!. . .who dash you any ideas of romance? No one i dated has complained just yet. What is YOUR own idea of "romance"? Cooking beans for your bf? morenike09: of course not a love-struck teenager. . .romance is when you show her you love her. . .be there for her. . .treat her as your partner. . .show you care. . .help her out even when she does not need it. .
am sorry David, mostly all Naija men are unbearable and think themselves above their women. . . Look, we've been doing all that when most of you were still in nursery school. anything else? tRoOE: People some ladies will appreciate a poem to bunch of rose flower LOL so who was your 1st girlfriend I have never and will never buy anyone flowers . . . just a waste of time and money. Writing poems comes naturally to moi, i do it only for those who deserve it. As for my gf . . . ask Islander, shebi she said i never had one before. |

tRoOE: It's now clear to me you have no idea of what romance is
You don't have to buy flowers or open to the door for your lady to show how romantic you are.
Writing poems, sending E cards, walking to the park, having a picnic, sending lovely or sweet text once in a while, having a nice quite dinner, lunch breakfast, which ever one you prefer
So you expect me to sit and write down my idea of romance on this page? What's the difference between writing poems and sending flowers? Methinks you have your idea of romance upside down. I looked at all you wrote up there and i'm sure i was the one who authored that manual you got all that from . . . just ask my first real girlfriend. |

Put your kids in Nigerian private schools in the primary and secondary years . . . they can go back to whichever country for their college degrees. I think Nigeria has a lot more to offer the growing child than these western nations.
the most important thing is that they learn the culture, i wouldnt want a son who grows up to disrespect his mother because "everyone else does it". |

OMO IBO: typing the same thing within little or no intervals get tiring. these igbo-yoruba marriage threads don tire me. if u guys are conscious of other tribes why get into the relationship in the first place?
well, i have a yoruba girl friend. when i spoke to her mum for the first time she brought the igbo-yoruba thingy to my attention. i told her not to worry about it. cut long story short, work on your relationship. there is no mountain or obstacle wey 'gift of the gab' no fit destroy.
CLOSE THREAD Excellent submission. I dont really see a problem with the igbo-yoruba issue . . . many people are into it and are making it work perfectly. If i had a choice i'd marry an igbo despite not understanding a shred of the language. Life is all about what you make out of it and not trying to live according to the ill-concieved prejudice of others. |
Christianity Etc › Re: The Biblical Descent Of Man by 4Him(m): 9:53pm On Mar 17, 2008 |
lol adaptation is a very important aspect of science. We see it in our environment everyday . . . bacteria rapidly develop resistance to antibiotics by positive selection. Our bodies are a perfect example of adaptation, the dark pigmentation of the African most obviously developed as a means to avoid skin problems due to excessive sunlight.
The long hair for caucasians is most probably an evolutionary adaptation to the cold weather.
the native Australians, chinese, europeans e.t.c. All products of adaptation to their environment over time. |

tpaine, there was nothing like sickle cell in the days of Noah, it evolved as a genetic adaptation to malaria which is why it is endemic to subsaharan Africa and whites, asians, arabs do not carry the defective genes.

babs787: the Jews were well informed that Ismail was the one who was bound, but that they concealed this out of jealousy Blabs787, you're making too much noise quoting irrelevant documents that are at best suspect if not fraudulent. Simple question . . . the names of Isaac and Abraham were mentioned in that surah and that of the supposed fellow who was to be sacrificed "Ishmael" completely absent? Another question for you blind dolts - Why are you quoting suspect JEWISH sources to support your lies? Is there NO SINGLE SHRED of evidence from the descendants of Ishmael? You fraudulently said below: babs787: The Oxford Companion To The Bible echoes the same position as the Encyclopaedia Judaica.
In Great One tradition, the Arabs trace their ancestry back to Abraham through Ishmael. Because Ishmael was circumcised (Gen. 17:25), so are most Great Ones. And, analogous to Paul's reversal of the figures of Isaac and Ishmael (Gal. 4:24-26), Great One tradition makes Ishmael rather than Isaac the son Abraham was commanded to sacrifice Sir, the oxford companion to the bible did not echo your position, it was merely reporting the very many untruths that mus'lims have forced into the biblical narrative to smuggle Ishmael in . . . notice the red flag use of "in mus'lim tradition . . ." |
