Dennis Rodman is not gay.Ok maybe i exagerated by suggesting he is the quintessential metrosexual.Not all metrosexuals go to that lenght.

Most gaymen are probably metrosexual but not all metrosexuals are gay.However,metrosexuals have an effeminate quality about them which manifests itself in the inordinate amount of time that they spend on their physical appearance.

It is this narcissm that marks out the metrosexual from the ordinary well groomed man.

Noone is opposed to the idea of a man spending sometime on how he looks,however an excessive desire to look like a walking,talking magazine male model is obscene.

Hence ,I am not critical of a visit to a spa to have a bit of a pedicure but such visits will verge on the metrosexual if they  became a regularity so much so that he does so more than the average woman .

And we don't visit the cosmetic section of the pharmacy more than most women.No offense but u sure u  don't hang around too many gay men?Does the phrase [b]gay hag [/b]mean anything to you?

I think u do not understand what a metrosexual actually is .U seem to suggest that u can use the terms "metrosexual" and "well groomed" interchangeably.In essence,u could have titled the thread"Any Well Groomed Men Out There? .

I share a definition I saw in Wikipedia of a metrosexual as a man who spends an inordinate amount of time and money on his physical appearance and has a camp factor.This is not the same as a well groomed man

Dennis Rodman is prime example of a metro-sexual.

Tiger Woods on the other hand is a well groomed man but definitely not a metrosexual.

I think I speak for most men,when I say that we will prefer to be the later than the former.

Being well groomed is not the same thing as metro-sexual.A metro-sexual refers to that unique specie of men who go to extra lenghts to groom themselves.To hold otherwise will mean to say that every well groomed man is a metro-sexual.

Why don't all these Premiership midfielders go to Italy and Spain,lets see whether they will shine.The fact of the matter is Kaka has done it at the highest level,World Cup,Champions League.He does not need to go to the Premiership to prove his worth.
Why Premiership,why not Turkey?

The likes of Lampard,Scholes,Fabregas,Gerard, who dominate the Premiership haven't always shown what they can do at a higher level

The Serie A has provided us with the Champions League winners far more times than the Premiership and more importantly last year,provided us with the World champions.If kaka is shining in that league,that is a greater testament to his ability than he will get playing in the Premiership

Folks think being patriotic means u have to exagerate how good things are in Nigeria and knock down places in the West,but that is narrow mindedness.It is simply inferiority driven thinking,to exagerate things just to prove we are not too far behind.

U might say many places in Nigeria look better aesthetically,nice looking buildings and all that,but that is a far cry from claiming that they are better as a whole than places in London

Pardon me for being the contrarian here but I have a totally different perspective

Of all the people who are going through hell trying to meet their hospital bills in Nigeria,this fella is one person who does not deserve my full sympathy.

We do not know the full facts sorrounding the case,but the little we know from the victims side discloses that he was involved in a fight regarding their respective football allegiances which resulted in the victim being stabbed.

On a purely human level,u have to feel sympathy for anyone who suffers a serious health setback whatever the circumstances.There are many Nigerians who face imminent death due to their inability to pay for their treatment

However,the circumstances of this case as we know it(from the victims' perspective I must add)  suggest that this particular Nigerian,is not one who deserves a helping hand compared to all the people in similar circumstances.

I can't help but notice the element of culpability in the victim's predicament.I have been on this forum for 8 months and not once have I come across a charity appeal for any Nigerian.Of all the people in need in Nigeria,I do not see this particular person as uniquely deserving of our help.

I don't know whether its his culpability or the sheer pointlessness of the source of their fight ,football,that ticks me off.

Money is a scarce commodity and should be given with great care to the most deserving
There are far more worthy cases we can do something about where the victim was not in any way culpable for his/her predicament.This one,am afraid is not one of them
