It's a known fact that most Nigerian girls marry who they consider ready for marriage and not necessarily who they love. I am exactly in that dilemma and the question I am asking myself is whether I should continue in this loveless marriage or slowly drift and walk away.

My marriage is barely 2 years and a few months, but it has been a rough journey for me. Things I never envisaged I would experience in my marriage, I have suffered, from utmost disrespect to verbal abuse.

I came to the conclusion that she doesn't love or care about me based on what happened yesterday. I was recently transferred from my base to a new location and because of that, I would only be able to visit weekends or twice a month. Prior to that, we barely had sex once a week.

We had already had sex the normal once we usually had it (Saturday morning), but I wanted more because I will only be coming back after two weeks. I initiated a move on Sunday morning, she declined because she was thinking of preparing food for our baby before we leave for church. We went to church and came back, and as usual, my wife was in her undies (just panties and bra) in the sitting room (This was what she wore throughout that Sunday).

I watched her walk around the house in that and that even turned me on the more. I am a practicing Christian, and I try not to look after other women lustfully, but common this is my wife, even God sanctions that. After being turned on throughout the day, I went to my wife in the night, (note she slept in the sitting room with our baby leaving me alone in the room) to enjoy my conjugal rights with her, but she gave me excuses that she is upset and not in the mood.

I try to do things I usually do for my wife even when I am angry with her. This is my own way of saying I may be angry with you, but I still cared about you and I am open to a resolution. On the other hand, my wife doesn't care what happens to me when she is upset. She immediately stops cooking for me ad any other thing she does for me when she is upset. It is obvious to me now that to my wife I don't really matter in the grand scheme of things. She is only caring and concerned, when she is not angry (when we are good and we don't have any issues). I believe that when you love somebody, you treat them right and show genuine love and care for them even when you're upset with them. This is what I have constantly shown to my wife in our 2+ years of marriage.

Back to my story of what happened weekend/Monday. My wife never bothered to call me to check if I arrived safely since I left the house yesterday. I even called her once (primarily to check on my daughter), but she didn't pick up and she didn't call back, and up till now, we have not spoken.

She obviously does not care whether I arrived safely in my station or not. In this country of insecurities, a family member of yours will travel and you do not care whether he/she arrived safely, that is the height for me, and in the actual sense, I should be the one upset here because she left me high and dry, despite knowing fully well I am very Hot.

I am a family-oriented person, I have always dreamt of having a peaceful, loving, and Godly home but unfortunately, the reverse is the case for my wife. I began to understand why family background is very important in a person's life, after getting married. My wife is from a family where they place little or no value on marriage. Her mother had children with 2 men, and my wife is obviously working very hard to follow that same path. She shows little or no enthusiasm in making our marriage work. I am always the one to initiate moves to resolve issues when we quarrel, whether I am right or wrong, I do not care, my focus is just on making my marriage work and my home peaceful.

This last episode shook me very hard, and I have been asking myself whether I want to continue in this loveless marriage or opt out. Working and living in a different city will even make it easier for me.

I needed to let my thoughts out and thanks to Nairaland, I have done so.

Why did you still went ahead? It's just a matter of time and your fears will become,reality.

Orphanage Home isn't our Tradition or thing. We have an actively involved Extended family lifestyle.
An Orphan will definitely be housed by his/ her uncle , grand ma or even a distant relative.
The white doesn't practice such massive Extended Familiy inclusion like we the black , thereby making adoption a tough decision here. Since it is believed most babies in the Orphanage homes aren't really Orphans, but from some ladies reckless lifestyle with some kind of irresponsible man.
On a good scale, most assumptions such as;
1. The adopted child might end up following the parts or lifestyle of his/her biological mother or father is 70% True. In a Sane society how will a man and woman be so reckless to birth and abandon a child, moving on like nothing ever happened. To me that is the hight of irresponsibility and shouldn't be encouraged in Africa.
Almajiri in Northern Nigeria, if we were to be in the US, will be accepted into orphanage Home and put up for adoption. Meanwhile their parents are still existing and still populating the earth surface.

The economy in my state Edo and most other states in Nigeria is programmed to serve Yahoo guys. If you go to the market to buy any commodity, the seller assumes you can afford what Yahoo guys will afford and the seller wants to make the same profit he or she would have made if Yahoo guys were the ones buying the commodity. If you want to rent an apartment, the landlord tells you to pay rents that only Yahoo guys will afford. Taking a cab, the cab driver bills you like a Yahoo boy. I wanted to book an event centre a few days ago and the prices they were giving me will be enough to buy a land in some places not too far from the location of the event centre . Unfortunately, Yahoo has come to stay because the govt of the day is doing nothing meaningful about it, the supposed crime fighters also get a share from proceeds of yahoo and it has become an accepted norm in the lives of Nigerians, so sad a tale

Yes the dreadful act have come to stay, but the sociatial Consequences awaits we all in future. All Yahoo boys who doesn't have formal education or handiwork, will eventually get old just like everyone and if Yahooo cease to pay, they have no other option than resorting into Crime.

The concluding part


There is this neighbor, a family, we shared the same compound together in the year 2015/2016. They are devoted CCC member. Way back when we lived in The same compound, my wife and I used to make subtle jokes about the cele people. Who would have thought that we would one day I would run to CCC.

September 2021, we called the wife and explained things to her. Arrangements was made to see the shepard of the church. As their usual practice, we fisrt first sought to hear the voice of God (Shonna). God’s word came out loud and clear on different matters. But concerning this snake issue, this is what we (wife and i) were told.

1. That We need to exorcise our home and get rid of the dark spirits that have taken abode with us.

That they follow us wherever we go, even when the whole family is going somewhere in our car, some sit with us and enjoy the ride.

2. That Good things will cease to happen as long we remain in there with the dark spirits

3. Sudden disappearance of things.

4. That We should not think we are the rightful owner of that piece of land that we built upon.

And that the land has been dedicated to these spirits a long time ago before I bought the land, and that my family and I are the strangers disturbing the peace of the real owners.

All these were evidently true, especially number 2 and 3.

Number 3 is funny. For example, One evening, on our way home, wife and I are the only people in the car. we stopped by a chemist to get some drugs for hay fever. My wife went inside the Chemist to get the drugs while I waited in the car. She brought the drugs on watchers, about 2 satchets, I saw her put the drugs in the cup holder, just right after the hand brake.

On getting back home we could not find the drugs. We searched everywhere in the car, even searched the most unlikely places. Even searched engine compartment, lol

Moreso, there are instances of missing money in the house and even in the car. Like you put money or something here this minute, in the next one hour or so when you need to use that thing then you wont see it again, otilor.

Number 2 is evidently true too, at a certain time, we started living from hand to mouth. Things are just tight, tight is an understatement. No need for stories in this regard.

Exorcism was done. Additionally, we were advised to improve on our prayer lives. Our Shepard told us that had it been that we have been been members in his parish that he would have advised me to get another land. And that when conditions improve, we should consider getting or building another house.

After the exorcism, time went by. Days turned to weeks, weeks turned to months and by mid 2022 I sensed somehow that my roof has been calm, no more noise in the roof. I covered back the little hole I made on the ceiling outside. I believe nothing’s up there again except spiders.

Its being more than 9 months of experiencing calmness in the house, stranger has gone, snake has gone. Exact time it left I don’t know. By my calculation, it should be between the time I made that cut in the outside ceiling and or when exorcism was done.

Lessons

1. Before renting or buying anything like house, piece of land, even a car etc pray about it. This can save you years of misfortune. I’m still licking my wounds as I write this. Just very sad.

2. I used to believe that praying at home with your family is way better than going to church to pray. Certainly, it’s good to pray together as a family, but sometimes you need other spiritually stronger people to join your faith with in prayer.


Now I enjoy going to church on Sundays (only thing is that im not a dancer ) and every other day if need be. I don’t even allow my wife to wash my white garment, I wash and iron them myself with joy.

3. I used to believe that 95% of men of God are corrupt and use voodoo. Well, certainly I still believe most are corrupt and use voodoo. Nevertheless there are still a tiny fraction that are well mannered and well connected to the living power of God. May we have the grace to located them.

There are some stubborn life challenges, like the one I narrated, that can only be conquered by being directly connected to the living power of God or coming in contact with true MOG that connected to the said power.

4. We should not be in a hurry to kill some seemingly dangerous animals especially snakes. Sometimes, doing this might plunge you into years of misfortune. Sometimes there is more to this animals than it meets the eyes. If in close proximity, then best is to try and get the back into the bush.

So, snake is gone, lessons learnt, life style adjusted, still licking my wounds. I pray God to return my lost fortune and show me some respite soon.

The difference between PDP & Lp is 700k .LP is reviewing 7 states & Rivers results, with the assumed knowledge that they were short changed in some states. If that is true and proven in court , then LP will supersede PDP 6.8 million votes. Thereby making LP the second contestant.In the case where APC is out based on avoidable Technicalities, then LP takes over.
In one of Atiku’s petition, he categorically stated. LP should be declared the winner.
