Worse is the fact that we think we have the freedom to make choices and we keep misusing that freedom. Now some people will suffer for it and we don't have a way of fixing that I.e baby mama/baby daddy issue (coming from a broken home will always have its side effects).

Forget this peer pressure of a thing, peer pressure is a scam. Nobody can force you to do something you don't want to do!! I experienced peer pressure too. I never gave in, rather I seriously warned the so called peers that were trying to pressure me, that if they continued, we wouldn't be friends anymore, some stopped trying to pressure me, others that still continued I've cut off up till now, more than 15yrs.
I was able to resist due to my very strict upbringing. So the mother should flog her very well and finally sit her down to tell her why she was flogged. Both the father and the mother should start building up their daughter to say, no, to peer pressure. And to be prepared to turn their backs on bad peers.
