I remember years ago, a particular woman sold good food at amukoko area of Lagos.

One day, an unknown person raised a false alarm that the said woman uses human meat as meat to sell food. She buys 8 live goats everyday, so they started rumors that the goats were human beings in spiritual realm..

Upon hearing it, her customers disappeared. This woman closed that business till this day.

Nigerians are too superstitious.

Backward country and people. What if this was a false accusation levelled against her, a set up by a competitor in the same business. Again why should a motuary attendance allow her get water used for the dead? Then that attendance too should be punished. Again until the law enforcement are serious with dealing with people who mete out jungle justice than this barbarians won't learn.

Fresh corpse are not bathed but cleaned before embalmment. The corpse is cleaned again when the owner want to take it for burial.

The misconception of bathing corpse, hence corpse water is a fallacy.
