Rich or Poor but they are still women ...real women are interested in your potentials as a man and a good woman can appreciate any gesture but they both don’t like dishonesty and disloyalty I’ve been to Disney world but I’ve also had some down time the important thing is how are you as a man when you have money and how are you when you don’t ? Do you change ...get arrogant...forget that God is the source of all wealth that is blessed. Women pick up traits as well so what your angry about could be a reflection of your behavior even for the men too |

Una go always see everything bad with poverty. Person no go fit poor in peace l. Most rich appreciation are polite courtesy. Can't really be said to be appreciation. Most poor people are dealing with deprivations at an intense level, a drowning, man will clutch unto anything to save himself eagerly. Am not making case for anyone. Just saying if you not been poor you not in anyway permitted to judge the poor. Let platforms be even 4 Likes |

AfroKnight: But it is easier said than done bro...If a lady is a student and she is not from a family that supports her with enough money, imagine a lady that collects 10-15k for her upkeep every month and she meets a man that is averagely doing okay, ofcourse he will pay for her hair , buy her airtime once in a while..I dont think it is bad. Not everyone has the great luck of having rich or comfortable parents. I always choose to judge people from an equal stance or angle. I have seen working class ladies that still ask their men for little stuffs as such, so bro, it is not a big deal. . A lady that is jobless will most definitely ask her man for support once in a while, it is the frequency and attitude that matters. And believe me, not everyone is industrious or business-oriented ,so some people just have to wait on that salary-paying job.. 3 Likes |

There is no hard and fast rule to this. It is true that it tends to be prevalent among rich pple But it all boils down to character and upbringing If a poor girl is raised to work hard for her money, to not be entitled and be appreciative She will appreciate small gestures and vice versa 1 Like |

Ofemmanu1: My uncle (a very wealthy guy) married a poor but stunningly beautiful woman. Let me just say that if it's not because he had three kids with her, he will divorce her straight up. Surprisingly, his mother (my grandma) saw through the girl from day one and hated her, but beauty and a need for a trophy wife led him to such leech of a woman. Infact her family are living off him, and every attempt he made to make her financially independent was refused. She will rather watch reality tv and expect him to bring money for every single thing. It's a sad tale. To know if your gf is a leech, ask other women, they are skilled at seeing through themselves. Stay away from broke ladies, they are time bomb awaiting explosion. 10 Likes 3 Shares |

Samakus:I know that feeling. I once messed up a golden opportunity like that, though she wasnt from a rich home but an Anambra girl as well. I was just resuscitating from a long heart break and had this premeditation that she has nothing to offer but babe was a go getter and hardworking. She was the first and only girl to take me out on our first date and paid the bills. I still have a huge respect for her till date. By the time I realized it, it was late. Late because I asked her out one time (before that meeting) and gave up within a week. we kept on being friends though. I had to cut her off cos another guy was dating her at the time we had that date and she refused listing to me. Currently dating another hardworker and an igbo girl too. This one told me she is not my responsibility and has been amazing. I ignored her for a year and was chasing one idiot I met on nairaland, exactly the kind described by the OP. Poor, broke, and entitled whose parents couldn't get her tools to advance her apprenticeship but had the audacity to broke shame me. Even the little she got from me, her father hasn't done for her since she was born. Well, I told her I was lucky and very lucky that she said those words, which didnt sit well with her. I had already arranged backup with the current girl I am dating. So it was an easy transition for me without much remorse. Within a few weeks after that episode with the entitled fool for broke-shaming, something MASSIVE happened financially that we are still working on but on hold due to corona. I also started another deal that was on the way before corona struck. May God not let miss great women. 6 Likes |

faithugo64: You're right, billions of female that we have world wide .. Though we can use sampling to represent a whole data, but in his case his sample is too few and perhaps to limited, even the friends he claimed they experience same. But in a more real sense .we could only say he is right in some few aspect.. Maybe he meant that poor girls has this mentality based on their background, their mom might always ask the dad for basically everything, which is not that bad too, it may GIve them this sense of reasoning and in return they seldom appreciate what their man gives .them, high % of this is the culture of both the Yoruba's and the Igbo's . in Nigeria, its like a culture for a man to give to the madam.. Still statistically, am wrong.. But in real sense , I might be right.. Modified: for rich parents, the woman may be asking but it won't be in a transparent manner as it won't feud quarrel which will highlight the intensity of things on the eyes of children, and more so , they lives in some kind of fantasy reality relative to poor girls, the rich man might but flower for his wife and the children watched her scream " oh my God thank you!!! Its beautiful" .. All still didn't justify am right, but who knows .. In the end, our behavior is what matters , a poor girl can be appreciative while the golden Spooner won't, it entirely depends on views , manner and ones self.. 3 Likes |

I kept on giving an average lady money and gifts for marriage purposes.. But she never said thank you... One of such occasions... I demanded to know why after giving her 20k... Which she dropped by the bed side.... Why I asked..... "my mother never tells my Dad thank you for anything, it's his rigth"....I ran and discharged my self from that toxic relationship.... 1 Like |

[quote author=Samakus post=88587497]If there's one thing I regret in life so far, it's missing out on Cynthia due to my complex issues then! Babe was a damsel from a stinkingly rich Anambra family and I, new employee in a federal school, was fidgeting about taking her on even when it was so clear that she was practically 'wetting for me'! When I eventually mustered the courage to ask for a date. She smiled and said, ' I thought you're never gonna ask again! And on a date we went! On that fateful day for our first date, she called me around 3pm and told me that she was at Chitis restaurant, that I should meet her up when I'm ready. Imagine your date choosing a venue for you (because you didn't tell her anyone you had in mind) and being there on time before you? To cut it short, I wore my nice cloth, and went to Chitis. Babe was already giving herself a nice treat. Fried rice and salad with a big Chicken, plenty fried plantains and of course, a nice wine to complement! I had 2k in my pocket, and hell yes, my mind skipped when I saw what was on the table . I stepped in and she offered me a seat! I smiled sheepishly, but deep down, I was wondering where I will get extra money to complete the payment for what she ordered which obviously was more than 2k already. Need I remind that she got a big EVA bottle water too Looking at her was difficult as this girl was a mermaid in human form! She has this cuteness about her and will make any man's heart skip a bit. Next thing I heard was, WHAT DO I GET FOR YOU? I knew that the question was for me but feigned deafness . She asked again with a smile, Hey Handsome, WHAT'S YOUR ORDER? I looked at her in bewilderment but summoned courage to mutter, "Just rice and chicken! She asked me again: 'won't you like a drink or should I get you a wine? . I just said, no thanks, water will be good. Besides, she had a wine on the table already and i didn't see the need for another wine. She steeped to the counter, paid for my order and brought it to me. We talked about so many things. But most of our discussions centered on our visions and plans for growth. Babe was giving me tips on businesses I can open within the campus when I get settled. For her, once she's done with school ( she's already in her finals), she will fly out to Canada for her Masters and then come back when she's done to head HR in her dad's company. I suggested to her to get her CIPM certification before doing her Masters since she had passion for Human Resources. Not ever hearing of CIPM, her likeness for me doubled. We had a nice time and we left. She called her taxi guy to come drop her while I left for the shuttle park . She continued calling me after that and continued talking but I have already harboured the fear that her class was too high for me. Poor, naive me!! . I never took the next step with her. And she left after her graduation and became incommunicado as I never called her after our date Looking back now, I feel like beating myself. She had everything I wanted in a woman physically. And had the right goals and penchant for success like I now do! I have seen a lot of ladies and can now appreciate what a gift, a lady with visions, plans and the right frame of mind, is for young man hustling to reach his dreams. Which girl will start discussing your visions and plans for a better life on your first date these days? I missed Cynthia due to inferiority complex and naivity! I was young and stupid! I was 25 and just got a job in the school after finishing NYSC, when i met her. I pray I find a goal oriented Lady like Cynthia again! Because, they're very hard to come by these days! so touching ,,I swear I will not try to make this mistake when I enter the law school |

Not being appreciative can be due to so many factors, of which wealth and poverty is not. This analysis is so wrong: sample population is too small. No subjective evidence to correlate the two. Wealth is relative - you may think you're rich, while another thinks you're poor. In real life though, the rich always tend to marry rich, poor tends more to marry the poor, tall marry tall, short marry short, princess marry prince, politicians marry politicians, miss beauty marry mr handsome, ugly marry ugly. It's in our nature - social caste. There are exceptions though when love blinds. I have seen rich girls who don't appreciate gift and I've also seen poor girls who are appreciative. Tomorrow, someone will also post that girls from rich home are disrepectiveful - another hasty generalization. 3 Likes |
