Go to the nearest MTN office and report

also screen shot the alarts, with the sim packs, photocopy both, take it to a court, And protect yourself first, then with the court Affidivitem return to MTN, request for a transfer of all your registered infor, into a new un-used sim

You can either take it to MTN office and complain or visit AccessBank to lodge the complain

Story! You have nothing to worry about. It just means it's a line that has been recycled by the network, and it was the line that was tied to the former user's bank account. There was a time my old line was recycled. I didn't know. It was the line attached to a bank account that was dormant. Later I started using the account but was not getting any alerts. I then realize the new owner of the line was getting the alert. It took me another 2 months or so to finally go to the bank to ask them to change my account phone number to my new line, that I was not the owner of the old line again. No single money was stolen from me all through that period

Bro, I have been using the sim for a few month now and I have made no such attempt.
I has removed the sim from my phone.
I will leave it and forget all about it
Flee from evil in its entirety.
Tomorrow, temptations due to need might push you into trying to do something funny with the sim or som1 you already told will do.
Better just go to MTN office like som1 said.

Take it to MTN. If you registered, your face and address is already there. Although it shouldn't be possible to get another person's alert on your sim card, it just further expose the security lapses of Access bank.

No. Don't destroy it. Just register it properly with your name. The line was recycled after the former owner failed to use it for 90 days. That's usually the case of all recycled SIM. You have no offence buying, register and use a SIM card of your choice.

A very good example of this: The DSS, President Buhari's daughter ( Hanan Buhari) vs Anthony Okolie

Mr Anthony won the case in court and the DSS was fined 10m Naira

OP, I work in a telcoms company and I can bodly tell U there's nothing to be bothered about..that is what happens when lines are recycled..meaning U bought a line that was reproduced becos d former owner was not using his line and it got deactivated after 180days..ignore the messages..true caller may also be displaying d former owners name when people call your line.d most important thing is that you have gotten the line legally and registered it in your own name ..U are safe trust me.

Why the fuss? This has happened to me before. Infact in two occations where someone else was receiving my alerts from my previous MTN line that got lost, that i didn't retrieve and the other one which is recent and im still conrently receiving that person's alerts. I later when to bank to lay complain and the number (my lost line) was terminated and my new line was introduced to my acct. The person has probably not notice. When they do, he/she would go to their bank to correct it. U dont need to be worried.

Maybe you bought the line use by another customer who lost his/her phone line that is attached to the bank account and has not gone to Chang it with the bank, neither go to MTN to retrieve it because of some requirements needed for the retrieval, hence the alert is still coming to the line. Simple.

So weird... since it is a new sim and you're probably not attached to it, ditch it and get a new one before you will start telling stories that touch. If you're attached to it, you can try calling access bank and mtn to resolve the issue.

If you destroy the SIM, it will still bear your identity until six months when the telecom operator decided to sell it to another person again. To be safe, report to access bank customer care. They will stop sending you the alert. MTN cannot solve the issue. The previous user of the SIM registered it with his/her bank.

Report the case to MTN, Access bank and the Nigeria Police. Also do keep every records / statements you submitted for future reference.

All lines are now rentals, so you can held for transactions or activities you know nothing about.

this ought to be a minor issue, but you know Nigerians and extortion na..

Take the SIM to MTN, try visiting access bank, if you got a close police/military contact inform him before visiting the bank so that if things go west him fit yell for their head .

Don't be scared it's a recycled sim.
Simply visit the bank with your valid id and the sim pack as proof of ownership so the number would be unlinked from the account.
It's simple

I once had an airtel sim card that I do receive unknown bank alert too. I didn't do anything though before I stopped using the sim card. However, since you registered it in your name, you need to make a formal complaint either at the bank or to the telecommunication company.

report it to the police first, collect an affidavit, from there proceed to the bank with the police affidavit in case matter dey for the account then lastly take the sim card to MTN office make dem give you another one....

don't mind the money you will spend o, it might save you from sleeping detention, more money and bad reputation.

Take it to MTN and document every form you fill there. For your own safety bro, to avoid story that touch the bone.
