Boko haram are making money from all these... and probably use it to feed and buy more weapons.
Nigerian government should tackle this menace aggressively. If other regions should start similar approach, no one, even those on top, will be safe.

The only way Nigerian government can rescue him now is to pay the Boko haram. I don't think the rescue involves invading the boko haram territory as seen in movies.
