I never had this. When I was young I thought all churches were the same except for white garment church which disturbed my spirit, so I did not care which church I went.

And, I long figured that the walk with God was very very personal. There is almost no collective walk with God. The oeople who I thought were good people, I saw that they secretly loved wickedness and took the opportunity to be wicked when it presented itself.
The people who were wicked also confirmed that they loved being wicked and that it is a mistake to give them opportunity to do you wickedness.

And I did not want to be any of these people, hence my admiration for people in the Bible, since the living people I see fell short.

And that is what has safely and interestingly and wonderfully and beautiful and gloriously brought me this far.

According to the definition you presented, i have never being disappointed in God or discovered Him to be less good than believed. i know there are people even in the Bible that faced something similar and overcame, like in the Psalms where the Psalmist "lost it" for a while until he became better informed.
i seem very lucky to have found God(or be found of God) by very ordinary/natural means in the midst of supernatural happenings. i didn't get saved by some wowing event or miraculous aura. It was just the logical and sensible thing to do. So i guess that helped me not to be the bread and butter, prosperity-gospel christian that many people are and that you seem to have been. i knew the Word of God, what to expect from God, what God promised and what He did not exactly say. Of course i know God is not a magic wand or genie, neither is He going to "answer" every prayer. So i have never had a faith crises of why did God allow/not allow this or that to happen. And i must tell you, things have indeed happened and not happened. But my faith was never based on things in the first place. i've seen genuine children of God suffer in the Bible and in real life, in fact there was a book titled "why do the righteous suffer?" which i read a looong time ago. Fortunately, the only person who can shake my faith in God is me, not the devil or any other person or thing, and me is not alive .

Sorry to disappoint you, i have never being disillusioned about God. According to the definition you presented, i have never being disappointed in God or discovered Him to be less good than believed. i know there are people even in the Bible that faced something similar and overcame, like in the Psalms where the Psalmist "lost it" for a while until he became better informed.
i seem very lucky to have found God(or be found of God) by very ordinary/natural means in the midst of supernatural happenings. i didn't get saved by some wowing event or miraculous aura. It was just the logical and sensible thing to do. So i guess that helped me not to be the bread and butter, prosperity-gospel christian that many people are and that you seem to have been. i knew the Word of God, what to expect from God, what God promised and what He did not exactly say.
