Glithronix: Abi oooh. Everybody should just maintain their champion abeg. I just hope they would let the matter die like that, make motivations dey flow and encourage and educate us on how to run the hustle profitably. Much respect, boss. Hehehe dey play. Look at it this way; Someone was motivated by dashboards and resigned from his job, remember he wasn’t told the challenges involved, only the earnings. There was someone that was advised to drop his 80k job which is very understandable wasn’t enough but letting people know the challenge involved is very important. He started having challenges within weeks up to the moment he regretted leaving his 80k job- this happened right on this thread. But the people that advised him left him to his fate. Making it look as if it’s a bed of roses is wrong and those who complain that the job is not ok for them aren’t wrong. Different people with what they desire. I wasn’t a lazy person when driving but the income didn’t equate the effort exacted on it. So you should expect someone like me to complain. |

The other time, I spent more than 5 minutes, it was free. Abeg I'm confused It's a flat fee during weekends and public holidays while first one hour other days is N200. |

pope191: Ha! How many drivers come remain like this? just for jokes. Congratulations boss.
As much as I don't know the fund used in processing this, I'll still hit on the needless argument here. The hustle obviously won't be the best thing for a man, but for a starting? Yes! One can make something out of it. The hustle will make you appreciate life, efforts and money. There's nothing I dislike than when I see young able person say he doesn't have what to do. This hustle don't demand much than focus.
Congratulations boss. Hope the ones out there like you won't stop to give the ones seeking for such tips on how to go about it.
Best of all again. I wanted to write a long epistle as a reply, but in summary, the driving did not contribute a dime except to make living worse. Moreover, I have stopped driving since Dec 2021. |

Your commission is 22% from this dashboard. How come people have been saying its 25%, or Bolt charges lesser for certain people? |

Itsrm: Getting student visa in Canada is not as straightforward as the UK. Many get denied. Plus you have to go for a two year course to make it easier to stay behind after study. It's not cheap.
Also, I hear it's extremely difficult to get any kind of job in Canada these days. People stay as long as 6 months without any job whatsoever I know that the rejection rate is high but there are lots of testimonies on the study thread. All you said are true but I would rather choose Canada over UK - that is me. |

IFSHR: Student route
School fee (3000 pounds ) 1.8m (through formA) Ihs and visa (me and wife) 2.2m POF (proof of fund). 800k
Flight for 2. 640k Rent for 2 month ( 800 pounds) 720k
Wife is working ..... I am schooling and working 20hrs in a week.
DIY from A-Z ....And I learnt all on Nairaland...UK student section.
Not all rosy at the beginning...but we are settling in and it's better than when we first came In. Congrats man! But why didn't you go to Canada through study visa if at all going through express entry is not possible? Pathway to PR through Canada study visa seems easier and clear. That 720k for 2 months rent is far cheaper compared to Canada. Housing is not smiling over there. Congrats 🎉 |

northbird: You mentioned gazzuzz in the other thread. Gazzuzz himself has come out and advised the guy to drop the idea of investing 7m into ehailing. Gazzuzz said " he won't even break even." I am sure he didn’t know gazzuzz already ventured into it but gave himself brain that it’s not worth it at the long run. If you already have a car and don’t have something meaningful for an income, it’s ok to go into it. At least, body and soul will be kept together. If not having a source of income at the moment, take up a vehicle on rental. Something will still enter your pocket from there rather than staying idle. I don’t know about the present income but I know the e hailing coys don’t have the drivers at heart to make them break even. I was surprised when I checked and saw that per kilometer is now N100. Above all, it shouldn’t be a job to be done for a long period without having an exit plan. |

I know people still doing well in this business.
Some of the points you listed are not daily or weekly occurrences. Are you not the same person seeking to get a car from moove? Seems that option will be the best to inform you how the job is. |

Barbiturate: Fine, this is what you should have asked ab initio.
When I got to the luth canteen, I called and the wife picked and said they are coming out. I waited for like 10 mins and they didn't come out, so I called again and she said; "Pls my son, my husband is sick and he needs to eat and take his drugs. They are still attending to us". I entered the canteen and saw that she was 2nd on the queue, that's after calling and ascertaining that she was the one. I walked up to her and told her to do it 'take away', that I can't wait for him to sit here and eat! Time is money! She bought it and they entered the car and she pleaded for him to eat it in my car cos he needed to take the drugs.....I obliged.
I don't go about allowing people eat in my car. There are exceptional cases. That's why I said, we should be considerate. I will not pick any young man or woman and allow him/her start eating amala or any swallow in my car.
Na me get my car.....na wetin I like I go do. To each his own! This scenario goes against what they call, "be ready before you request for your ride". They knew he needed to eat and take his drugs, why then request a ride when the food was not bought yet? |

zee00: Some Uber/Bolt drivers are actually very stupid and deserve to die in a car crash.
If I wanted to be difficult, I would have insisted he paid for the damage yesterday, because it was clearly his fault.
To all drivers, don't allow your greed be the end of you.
But if you don't value your life, you can go ahead and take unnecessary and pointless risks, all in the name of meeting "target".
You still won't be rich. You will be running circles in poverty. So why the risk?
I hope someone learns from this. You get mouth walahi, but otherwise was being preached here - best job to ever have as a Nigerian youth as there are no other jobs out there. |

Dailyparrot: How do you handle a rider eating in the car. Some unilag students entered my car and started eating Amala.
At first, I didn't complain even when I wasn't cool with it, not until I started touching soup on my glove box.
I had to change it for the guy eating at the front seat that it was improper to just enter my car and start eating Amala.
That's how they all flared up saying this is the first time a Bolt driver will talk to them like that. I had to shout them down too cause I can't be intimidated by crowd of three people.
The guy at the back tried to apologize for it but the lady beside him told him not to try it. That why would he apologize to me. Women!
Please, where una dey see these drivers that allow and tolerate all nonsenses? Make it a habit to never allow eating in your car. I never allowed eating of any form in my car, even snacks were not allowed. |

pope191: You guys came on board when Tojahh don use head clear bush. Drivers have regard and respect unlike before. Barely any driver that will tell you he have not experienced what I post. Before self one is shy to let people know he does e-hailing because the stigma that was attached to it. I don't do offline and my neighbours know I am the wrong person to call needless for trip. Book a ride and go your way, I've learnt not to bring familiarity to my source of livelihood.
You are in the period of riders begging you not to cancel trips and if you are coming. I doubt if you have ever slept for like 4 hours in search of trips. My brother those days weren't funny, sometimes you go back home feeling so dejected i . Any driver that hasn't experienced those cases should be a part time driver. |
