By December, you would be amazed......... I don’t have any Bank Account yet in Naija... Is it possible to open a Nigerian Bank Account online from abroad? I like First Bank & GT Bank... |

We never even judge council tax ,TV licence or congestion tax and many others. Oya come and share money for us here in UK. . We still pay more tax than people in the U.S. . Meanwhile I’m still thinking about how to save up money to travel to Naija this Christmas... But it seems my village people have remembered me because IRS now says I underpaid my taxes last year & I owe them $1650... I have about 30 days to remit the money to them to avoid accruing interest for late payment... |

LagosismyHome: Lol... do you think we dont pay all these here in higher tax percentages ...... UK that even in death you are taxed heavily not to talk of when you are alive
What i talked about is" sales tax rate" , UK sales tax (VAT) is 20% ...... you are right a lot of states are about 7% but you still have some states less than that, Delaware is 0% ..... You said 2% initially... That's why I quoted you earlier & suggested it was too low... Maybe you omitted the 0 by accident... |

Make pesin just dey pay am dey go......... Remember when I lost my job & then I applied for unemployment benefits... The Government was able to pay me weekly until I was able to find another job... So that’s definitely one of the perks of paying your taxes... Assuming this happened in Naija you’re on your own... If you know, you know... |

LagosismyHome: Compared to Usa.... tax rate in US is about 5% , here it is 20% so overall things will be more expensive in the UK . Then london is another story as rent and transportation here is expensive .
£2000 to cover only accomodation that good deal but 2000 to cover everything then that small How is the U.S. Tax Rate 5%? Federal Taxes States Taxes City Taxes & County Taxes The cheapest tax rate in my state is the Sales tax which is pegged at 7%... So how did you come up with 5%? |

Backfornow: Maybe I used the wrong word. What I mean is, in order to defeat Trump, the candidate needs to be strong enough to appeal to both sides, basically sway some undecideds and/or unhappy folks. Obama didn't just win Democtats, he won a good number of Republicans too. We are saying the same thing essentially.
Btw, where are you? What time is it there? Is 3am here and I'm so restless, I'm discussing politics which is something I hardly ever do. That’s why Joe Biden will be on the Ticket... He has a broad appeal across both Republicans & Democrats... It’s same time here on the East Coast... I’m working a Night Shift... So I have a lot of time on my hands... I will be getting off work by 7:00 AM |

However, neither one of them are polarizing enough to secure a win. Can you explain what you mean by the bolded... Remember the Democrats easiest path to the White House is simply to reclaim the Rust Belt states of Pennsylvania, Michigan & Wisconsin which Secretary Clinton Lost to President Donald J Trump During the 2016 General Election... |

Holocene: I believe DTJ is coming back for a 2nd term. The rural Americans are solidly behind him and the Democrats are still trying to get a candidate who can be a real nbn challenger. Forget about any female or black candidate winning against Trump. They would need a white guy who would split the votes in the Midwest and Deep South where the majority of Trump's support come from. Do you think a Joe Biden/Kamala Harris Ticket can reclaim the White House for the Democrats? |

Babyvet: No mind am, instead of him to focus on his life. Like how does birth tourism concern him? I work in the hospital and I pay my taxes , it’s not bothering me. It concerns me because the United States is a Nation of Law... We cannot allow visiting immigrants to take advantage of various loopholes in our current immigration policy... By codifying the current immigration system to only allow a Child to become a Citizen at the time of birth if and only if one of the parent is either a U.S. Citizen OR a Permanent Resident we would be eliminating most if not all who only sole purpose to give birth in the United States is simply to take advantage of the weak immigration system in the United States... |

Even with it being legal people are still abusing it with all kind of sneaky ways to get the visa and still end up abusing the terms of the visa. I don’t like Donald J Trump but that’s one policy I will wholeheartedly support... The Immigration Law needs to be codified to meet the current states of affairs. Under Subsequent Immigration Laws congress can make it in such a way that Visiting Aliens are more than welcome to give birth to the United States but the Child can only be a U.S. Citizen if and only if one of the parents was a U.S. Citizen OR a Permanent Resident at the time of Birth... |

Babyvet: Look I live in America and I’m not paying no damn $30, 000 for child birth. America is a capitalist society , if the hospitals are accepting self paying immigrants patients that means it’s helping them . America can not afford stringent immigrants policies , immigrants help fund this economy . Look at states who tried to impose stringent policies on immigrants and look at their economy . Either you pay out of pocket OR your insurance pays... So if you’re arguing that you don’t pay to give birth in the United States then that’s a Big Fat Lie... How do Mums who simply come to America just to give birth fund the American Economy? Like I said before, without Birth Tourism the United States of America will still function normally... Heck, Nigerians are no longer eligible for DV Lottery has it affected the American Economy? |

Babyvet: I agree , the VO’s need to calm down . How many Americans can folk out thousands of dollars for childbirth? These immigrants are helping the hospitals and in return the immigrants are getting citzneship for their children. What? Let’s be clear... Without child birthing by immigrants the hospital finances will never be affected... Actually the immigrants are the ones benefiting more from the system... What is $30,000 compared to the ability of having a U.S. Passport for your child plus all the other perks & benefits that comes with been a Citizen... So if President Donald J Trump was to abolish Birth Tourism then U.S. Based hospital will never be affected because Birth Tourism is not the bulk of their income... Actually most immigrants will be worst off than before... So DV Lottery already Closed Plus Birth Tourism Closed... So who is worst off: The United States OR Visiting Aliens You should know the answer to that question... |

It would actually be a Good thing if both the United States & Canada abolish Birth tourism simultaneously so everybody can give birth in their Country...
