I might not like Donald J Trump as a person but his policies are beginning to make sense...
Birth Tourism should be ended...
The program has outlived its purpose & it’s now being abused by most people...
A Child should only acquire American Citizenship at birth if at least one Parent is a U.S. Permanent Resident OR a U.S. Citizen at the time of birth...
We’re a nation of laws & cannot allow aliens to continue to advantage of our weak immigration system...
A total over haul of the current United States Immigration system is desperately needed...
Congress needs to act to close the obvious loopholes in our immigration system currently been abused by other Countries namely China, India & Nigeria... |

folmus: Can you expatiate on the bold? Did our women fix the prices or the health provider? How is that an abuse? Other women from other countries are paying the same; so what the heck! Fortunately you are not a visa officer. During most of y’all interview, most people took bank statements totaling over $30,000 to the United States Embassy as evidence that they would be able to afford to give birth to the United States... So what happened to the huge sums of money you guys showed to the Visa Officers? Always looking for an easy way every time... And when a loophole is closed then you guys begin to panic... There are quality Medical Doctors all over Lagos including Victoria Island Axis as well as the Ikoyi Axis... Most Nigerian Women can give birth there if they can’t afford to fund the cost of child birth abroad... |

Fortunately you are not a visa officer. What evidence do you have to prove that other countries are paying only $3000? Do you know how much Medical Services Cost in the United States? Any knowledgeable Medical Doctor in the United States would tell you that $3000 isn’t enough to give birth in the United States... If you can’t afford the prices then you also have the option of staying back in your country & give birth... Is that not a good enough option for you? |

folmus: Are you sure those quoting 3k actually added their lab tests? Besides, we have seen those more than 10k and still turned down. Just flip back to some pages I don’t know if they included their Lab Test... But like I said before $3k is too low for child birthing purposes... Spending about $10k makes more sense... Again just because you paid $10k before doesn’t exclusively grant you the ability to obtain a renewal anytime you want... You must also prove to the Visa Officer that you intend to return back to your home country after giving birth... We must ultimately remember that a Visa is a Privilege not a right... |

folmus: I know what I meant. Check the message again. It's just to say the $30k isn't the reason to get the visa. You said earlier that she didn’t spend up to $7K... When you add everything up is actually $9,643 which is approximately $10,000 which happens to be a reasonable sum to spend when giving birth compared to $3000+ others where paying... Trust me if everybody was paying almost $10,000 then the Visa Officers wouldn’t have a problem... Heck if I was a Visa Officer I would personally extra scrutinize any applicant paying only about $3,000 just to give birth... That amount is really low for child birthing purposes even for Americans... We don’t get it that cheap except when insurance companies are paying a bulk of the bill... So why should Nigerians get it that cheap... I’m all for giving birth in the United States but abuse of the system in place must equally be checked... |

radautoworks: Very reputable news source huh. Your own list shows there are only three. As I always wonder, wtf is your purpose on this thread? You seem to really disdain immigrants and love Trump so why are you on a thread for people trying to immigrate? I believe he is one of those that always wears MAGA Hats while chanting #Trump2020 #Trump2020... I seriously doubt he is black... His posts tend to be controversial in nature... More like trying to create a divide in this thread... |

Goldenboy007: Hmmmmm, you sir; have a very fine taste .hehehehehehehe...forget the $2500 budget then..budget between $150 to $200 per night for hotels....and that's clearly $2000 for 10 nights. For flights - I only do the airlines from UK, US and the Dutch airlines , so no idea on Turkish and Emirates. I heard both Qatar Airways & Emirates Airline offer better inflight Services... I don’t really know how true though but we’ll see... |

Goldenboy007: Yea ..I had that fear too. However depending on your negotiating skills - even fully booked hotels make allowances. I did that in Courtyard by Marriot in New York Financial District. They always have reserves.
Trust me you have several options in VI, lots to choose from - and when I say hotels, I am referring the good rated hotels. I have seen price go from $190 to $110 when you negotiate on ground. You have money lol... I can’t really afford New York Prices especially on Weekend around Manhattan... It’s super Expensive... I usually stay in New Jersey around Newark & commute into Manhattan using the New Jersey Transit... |

Goldenboy007: Why use a travel agent ? Are you not a Nigerian ? Use Priceline..start monitoring the tickets now ..you can get as low as $750 round trip depending on your location..with a good airline. Check in early and you get a good seat. I should be coming in around that time too and I have started planning my trip.
Then for the hotel..budget $100 a night....Raddison Blu probably more expensive..$183 and that's discount..check Hotel booking websites. I discovered it's always better to negotiate hotels when you are on ground ..they give better deals.
$2500 is about right in the average, again not Anchorage... That's just for hotel and flight o...feeding isn't included. What amazes me is there are hotels in Nigeria that are higher than $300 a Night. ..The George..lol. not presidential suites. I guess because it’s a 5 star hotel... 5 Star Hotels usually cost $$$ i.e. Staying at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel OR Four Seasons Hotel during the weekend is going to set you back at least a $1000+ Usually that’s where NFL Football Teams as well as NBA Basketball Teams Lodge whenever they’re in town for their away games... |

If the Hotels around that area are cost prohibitive then Lekki Phase 1 would be my next choice location... So far I have narrowed down the Hotels to about five hotels: (A) Radisson Blu Anchorage Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos (B) Lagos Continental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos (C) Four Points by Sheraton, Victoria Island, Lagos (D) Southern Sun Hotel, Ikoyi, Lagos (E) The LilyGate Hotel, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos |

Nigerian Hotels tends to over book especially on weekends & priority is usually given to people who paid in advance that’s my major worry... |

Beautyaddy: Lol!...staying on the Island might be less of traffic gridlock than the mainland...but be ready to spend double if not triple the expenses. Like how much? I'm planning a trip for 11 nights in December & will be staying in Victoria Island Lagos. I have already received a quote from a travel company for about $2,500 which includes my Round Trip Ticket plus Hotel Accommodation Hotel will be Raddison Blu Anchorage Hotel Victoria Island Lagos & Flight will be either Qatar Airways OR Emirates Airlines. Is that a Reasonable Quote OR Does the Quote seem very expensive? |

TheCongo2: Very unreasonable. If I may ask, what type of jobs are they? You may end up sleeping on the job sites and this will have a negative impact on your performance. You need to sleep. You need rest. Why not take a part time job instead in addition to the full time job. True. You don't want to kill yourself working. You need to enjoy your money too. |
