The dexron III Oil comes in different
standards. we have the normal dexron 3
And we have the ones with the capability of the a semi synthetic oil and the oando dexron 3 has the same attributes as the semi synthetic oil that Hyundai recommends.
The 2015 Hyundai accepts the oando dexron 3 because it’s not a High-end transmission unlike the Mercedes and the BMW.

Get the Nigerian used Elantra. Look for one with mileage below 150k kilometers.

They are quite reliable. I'd wager they are as reliable as the civic and won't come with very high mileage like most civics.

No matter what you do, do not go above. 2.0 liter engine and stick to cars whose parts are readily available in PH and mechanics know their way around the engine bay.

I'll advice that you take the benz if

1. You're not in Lagos[cos of bad roads]
2. Its a Kompressor[4cylinder]

If otherwise, honda isn't bad.

You are pH, roads get flooded quite a lot during the rainy season.

Do not use Mercedes c230 for Uber. I repeat do not use it for Uber.

Get the Corolla and get in line with the others.

There is a reason every tom dick and harry are using it for Uber and they are not all stupid.

The last guy I know in pH that tried to use a c class for Uber sold it off after 6 months.

He couldn't keep up with the repairs.

Lagos has quacks all over too. There are very few credible mechanics in Lagos and a lot of them still believe thermostats should be removed. Them plenty. Quacks outnumber sabi by far. Look for a good mechanic in enugu, ask people. Enugu people are here and they don't go to mechanics who use visco 2000 to replace power steering fluid.

Before you replace that pump and pout in the expensive power steering fluid, make sure your power steering rack is up to the task cos if it isn't you will be back to square one in no time.

Somewhere in Enugu metropolis, there are seasoned workshops (known to be expensive) who can do the job and are better equipped to solve OP's problem.

However, OP would rather patronize quacks and turn around to blame a whole town (Enugu) for not having mechanics.

Chukel, mejai and other nairalanders who live in Enugu must be servicing their cars in Abuja and Port Harcourt when their vehicles develop fault.

Crosstour with VCM is dicey except maybe you pick 2013 upwards.

The MDX is reliable but not good on gas

The v6 crosstour isn't too good on gas either.

And that crosstour looks hideous.

Lol. Even in Abuja it's not as easy. I was doing those spirited stuff Saturday mornings. I leave at 6am. By 730 - 8am my preferred stretch would become clogged. At that point I shift to a different lonelier road to finish.

On 5 treatments, I guess it's to do with the level of build up in the first place. Also I think if I were doing like a 500km trip, it wouldn't have taken 5 tanks.

Obalende to Ogudu (using 3rd mainland bridge) is around 25km, do it 4 times to and fro between the hours of 10:30am to 1:30pm when the road is very free

After some years later another IGP came and started the Enhanced Central Motor Registry (ECMR) whatever that means. After years other IGPs stated that you don't need any other registry once your car is licensed, that Police and the Licensing offices share information. So what is this now. This IGP is going back to dig up an unnecessary and failed policy

According to the road traffic act and highway code, it shouldn't be.

It should be one of the processes the licensing office should go through before issuing you a vehicle registration license.

The vehicle licensing office ought to confirm by themselves as part of their checks that the vehicle being registered has not been reported stolen.

Nigeria just works in reverse.
