PoliticsRe: Don’t Blackmail CPC And General Buhari - CPC Response To Bluelabs Limited by 9ijaMan: 9:53pm On Apr 02, 2011
edicolove:
my statement did not imply that GEJ did nothing. i was only being realistic that i do not expect anyone to do much in 1 year and nobody, not even fashola has done that. funny yoU mentioned 2 PDP governors amongst those who have done stuff. CPC supporters will NEVER ADMIT THAT! anyway, if you wnat me to compare, i will

GEJ since assuming the presidency, even after all he suffered from the north, has

1. Eradicated fuel scarcity. I know Buhari supporters will always try to rubbish that. but it is a fact.
2. Has proceeded to privatize PHCN and several companies have just submitted their intentions of interest. over 300 companies have showed interest. even in the face of sabotage by PHCN staff who do not want the status quo to change.
3. Our refineries are now working and he has just announced a plan for new refineries to ensure complete local production.
4. He has announced incentives for various industries like the entertainment and others to create jobs.
5. He has given free hand to INEC to conduct a free and fair elections. Even his enemies have agreed that the choice of Jega was a noble one.
6. He has shown a ot of leadership maturity even in the face of agression and insults from opponents. he just fired a key member of his campaign over a statement on Buhari because he has said he would not engage in insults.
Bros I can't help but laugh at these laudable and indeed laughable achievements from the stables of GEJ as you posted.

1. If you know the cost and overall gbese (debt) GEJ has incurred to score this cheap point of seemingly eradicating fuel scarcity, you'll weep for you future generations. Se how much your country has spent in Q1 of 2011 on subsidy for importation of fuel in the link below.

http://odili.net/news/source/2011/jan/25/821.html

2. Bros PHCN is yet to be privatized. Enough of rhetoric, until PHCN becomes privatized, you cannot claim it as a glory for GEJ. It's like saying since you have passed WAEC simply because you have sat for the exams.

3. Abeg list the refineries that are now working and their daily output. How can refineries be working and we are still importing increasing high volumes of refined products. Na where you get this wrong information from?

4. So na entertainment we all suppose dey do now? Apparently Nigerian youths are so dumb to the extent that Mr. President deems it necessary to provide incentives to the entertainment industry to create jobs. Na so him mates for other parts of the world dey create jobs for thei citizens?

5. At least we have finally confirmed today, the sort of free hand GEJ has been giving to INEC all along. Free hand ko, free leg ni!

6. So firing a member of his campaign team who was running his mouth like tap water is an achievement to you. Your expectation of your government is indeed very modest o! Abeg even my little boy who's just turning 6 expects much more from the Nigerian government.

Sorry pal, your depth of knowledge about governance is indeed questionable. Please take your time to study small countries like Ghana and Rwanda to figure out how they's been able to get it right while we are still groping in the dark.

Nah wah for people ooohh  so PDP no go get problems with money in banks and mobilisation of supporters, do they (PDP) run a different financial system? Guys be reasonable.
Chief if what happened today turns out to be an act of sabotage, the only party that stands to gain if the election should go ahead on Monday is PDP. If Jega wants to make the field a level playing ground, then he needs to move it to a date the major parties all agree upon.

BTW, PDP dose not need to go to the bank to have access to fund which they surely must have stashed at home for the elections. Bros, I'm speaking from experience. In fact some bank Manager would even open their vaults for the government in power to make withdrawals on weekends. The opposition party are not in the position currently to wield such influence.

I am terribly dreading the mockery I'll be facing at the office tomorrow. Nigeria we hail thee! Common election we have to sabotage it.

Fellow Nigerians, I think we all need to support the opposition parties to postpone the national assembly elections to the 23rd of April. PDP stands to gain undue advantage of the election is conducted on Monday as Jega announced earlier today.

Sun of god:
Conspiracy Abi?
It's got nothing to do with conspiracy. The man asked valid questions. How would you want the opposition parties to mobilize their agents to the over 120,000 pollen booths across the nation. Only PDP, with the tax payers money which they've consistently been squandering, can afford to steal more money without necesarily having to go to the banks.
PoliticsRe: Opposition Political Parties Reject April 4 For Nass Election by 9ijaMan(op): 8:41pm On Apr 02, 2011
I personally support the stance of the opposition parties. PDP stands to gain a lot if the elections are conducted on Monday.
PoliticsOpposition Political Parties Reject April 4 For Nass Election by 9ijaMan(op): 8:40pm On Apr 02, 2011
Opposition political parties are rejecting Monday, April 4, as the new date for Nigeria’s National Assembly Elections, claiming that it favours only the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

Calling the postponement “an unwarranted false start” that has imposed an “unwarranted huge cost” upon the Nigerian people, the Conference of Nigerian Political Parties (CNPP’s), Osita Okechukwu, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, said his party had in the past repeatedly drawn attention to the electoral commission’s preference for contractors referred by the presidency instead of adopting an open and transparent process” in the award of contracts. He believed that if the award of the contract for the needed materials which led to today’s logistical collapse had been open and transparent, the situation could have been different.

Rejecting April 4 for the National Assembly election, the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), said that date does not permit it to re-mobilize its agents or its logistics. “The only day between Saturday and Monday is Sunday, when banks do not open,” its National Publicity Secretary, Lai Mohammed, said in a statement in Ilorin.

“Where does [Jega] expect us to get the funds to mobilize our agents for Monday's election?” he asked. “Only the PDP can quickly mobilize such funds. So that date cannot stand, unless Jega is working against the opposition.”
The ACN further noted that the delay in the arrival and distribution of the result sheets was not the only thing that was wrong Saturday’s election today, and that there were many lapses on the part of INEC “which cannot be rectified between now and Monday.”

In the circumstances, the party said the new March 4 schedule was capable only of conferring undue advantage on the PDP, and suggested instead that the election be bundled together on 9 March with the Presidential election, or postponed to April 23 as the last election.

The parties issued their statements as President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, in his country home, Otuoke, Bayelsa State, was expressing the confidence that Nigeria could conduct credible elections.

The President, who addressed journalists following his inability to obtain election accreditation as a result of non-availability of INEC officials and voting materials, appealed to Nigerians to bear with the electoral body.

"If we must do something, it is better to delay and do it well," he said in reference to INEC's postponement of the National Assembly elections to Monday, April 4.

Also today, former military ruler, General Ibrahim Babangida, said that the postponement was understandable in view of the short time available to the electoral body to prepare.

In a statement issued by his spokesman, Kassim Afegbua, Babangida said Professor Jega should be commended for his courage in owning up to today’s fiasco. “He deserves to be encouraged and motivated in the light of our present shortcomings, so that the electoral body would be able to conduct a better election rather than conduct one that would be subject of condemnation and rejection,” he said.

With the late arrival of election materials, it would have been impossible to conduct the elections as scheduled and whose results would be acceptable to the electorates.

“It is our prayer that Nigeria would continue to grow from strength to strength irrespective of our temporary setbacks which are by their very nature surmountable,” Babangida said.

PoliticsRe: Naija People!! Today Is Your Chance To Punish Looters, Don't Waste It! by 9ijaMan: 6:14pm On Apr 02, 2011
It's a simple matter. The majority of the legislooters are PDP members. It is not far from the truth if a call is made to simply vote out PDP. Half of these legislooters are aspiring to return back to the national assembly. Nigerians can start by at least voting out those ones and get them all replaced, regardless of their party affiliations. Those who will be voting them know the few who may have performed above par and may still decide for them, otherwise, let's kick polio PDP out of the National assembly.

PoliticsRe: How Buhari Skewed PTF Projects In Favor Of His Northern Zone- By Yoruba Body by 9ijaMan: 10:19am On Apr 02, 2011
rhymz:
Dude your crass ignorance of history and stupifying arguments is making you desperate to want to resort to hitting below the belt,  Between the two of us who obviously has shown an utter lack of history knowledge. Now you want to kid yourself trying to lecture your superiors about the difference between ETF and PTF and the time of their inception like that was the bone of contention here. In case you dont know dumbo, it behoves on you who has made the dubiuos claims to come up with facts to your far-fetched claims. Instead of downplaying the facts starring you in the face about your bigoted principal, may be you should at least make attempts to prove them wrong. PTF only became defunct in 1999, how come it is so difficult to see any of their left over projects in the South, for crying out loud it is barely 12years and yet there is hardly any proof of any significant project by the much touted PTF. All we hear is go and ask this go ask that, dont you find it curious that there is no statistics to prove anything definitive about what PTF did. I Dare YOU to come out with statistical proof to back up your claim.
I hope you read through the garbage you typed above. I just can't imagine how being a slow poke is like, since you've chosen to be one. If ETF has not been able to post projects executed on their website prior to 1999, how can you be so dumb not to recognize the fact that ETF only came into being after PTF was scrapped. It's a pity your parents wasted money and energy in sending you to pass through the 4 walls of a school. Apparently you were just an onlooker in you school years, as it is dumbfounding that you are unable to discern your left from right.

I will certainly not waste my time on dolts like you, as your silly questions have been answered several time over and over again. Although your stupidity will not allow you to use the tiny bit left of the useful part of the sponge you have in your skull to think.

You can keep sulking for all I care, even if you chose to deny the obvious. Go back to your folks who were probably graduating from school when Buhari held sway to ask about the man. Denying PTF is the height of idiocy!

TexMex:
It is the same ad. I have a number of CPC Volunteers on my Facebook friend's list (including the head huncho).  Just checked, and the ad has been flagged. So it's the same advert.
You claimed you've been following this news yet you failed woefully to grasp what's on ground. No Party will pay for a full 4minuts and 20 Seconds jingle for an election besides the PDP. In a nutshell it is not the jingle (or ad as you put it) that NTA refused to air for CPC. Meanwhile NTA is has already been airing the same jingle they refused even before this bluelabs blackmail came to the open.

You 're making things up here. My grouse is with the BB Backers (and the CPC) who feel this is a non-issue and they can best handle it by shouting down the rights owners. I tried to say that is a wrong way to go about it, and in other climes it can be potentially damaging.
Here you go again claiming other climes. How many MJ's songs have been remixed and re-used on YouTube and how many of such songs do have turned out to be court cases of IP right infringement. Even after reading YouTube's disclaimer stating clearly that any video loaded automatically loses it's IP rights, you are still insising someone has wronged the bluelabalaba guys. Upto this very moment as we speak there are still 2 other versions of the same 4 minute long song on YouTube, why haven't the bluelabs guys asked YouTube to shut those versions down if they really own the song?

CPC pulling the ad doesn't mean they shouldn't admit wrongdoing and pay restitution. It's just like when you mistakenly appropriate another man's money. You don't just return it. The courts will also ask you to pay interest on the funds for the period it was used. Messrs Bluelabs have the right to sell the rights to whoever they please, and I will even say it's bad business for them not to have sold it to CPC. But that's me.
Are you kidding me? Which other man's money has been appropriated? Let me make the YouTube disclaimer English grammar easy for you and your likes to understand. In lay man's term, YouTube simply says if you or anybody else upload a song/soundtrack on YouTube, you lose every single right to that song. Hence if Mr. Johndoe downloads the song from YouTube and modifies it, and then re-uploads it back on YouTube, there is no case against anyone. It is also public knowledge that if you have grievances you can seek a redress with YouTube and the song/soundtrack will be taken off you tube pages. Below are still the other versions on YouTube.

[flash=500,300]
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nPcGT5qwc2k?version=3[/flash]

[flash=500,300]
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MIpwpWcKVj0?version=3[/flash]

I suppose Bluelabs can now come and sue me for uploading these 2 different versions here.

Bluelabs conduct has at best earned them bad publicity for 24 hours and it is nothingbut cheap blackmail which would fall flatly in any law court. As a matter of fact, I'll advice the BB team to sue Bluelabs for libel. Hopefully that will keep bluelabs out of business forever and teach other cheap blackmailers some important lessons.

Kobojunkie:
5. The current constitution does not stop people like Abacha from contesting for election, so it makes sense that in order to, he will have to join at least a party and CPC just happens to be it since PDP discriminated against him(something that is illegal by the way)

6. Buhari has never denied he had close ties with the Abacha family but to this date our own government has been unable to link him to Abacha's own attrocities in office

7. There has not now, or ever, been any DIRECT link between the Abacha loot and the man Buhari, or many of the other individuals who served during the Abacha regime.

Unless we are about to also link Soyinka's wealth to IBB's loot since Soyinka also did serve for a period under IBB, I suggest we grow up and focus more of our energy on that which really matters at this point in this election  --- Nigerians deserve better than it has gotten so far and that should be what we all ought to be working towards.
You should have know by now that it's extremely difficult for these GEJ babies to grow up let alone focus on anything besides running from pillar to post in their shameless and consistently failing attempts at denigrating Buhari.

Jarus, kindly confirm the receipt of the funds. I made the transfer a few minutes ago.
BTW I checked out the audio sent by GenBuhari3 and I feel we need to adapt it for the pidgin audience which the WaZobia FM are targeting. I only got to know today that Cool FM and WaZobia FM belongs to the same organization. While Cool FM targets the blue collar and weducated class, WaZoBia caters for the needs of those audience who understand pidgin.

The jingle will be perfect if we can have someone use pidgin to say the same thing Bakare said in the jingle.

We can use the first soundtrack from the BB team as the background song as against the controversial song in the background.

Jarus, can you spare some of your weekend time to get this rolling tomorrow? This will make everything ready by end of work on Monday and transmission from Teusday onward.
