thanks 9jaman I got it today from him. however, his estimate for foundation alone is over N5mil-that's the highest that i have ever gotten. I no go fit use the bobo but I thank you well, well shao!!.
You are welcome o! I'll advice you to try 2 or more opinions before you finally commit yourself. Sometimes you'll find some guys with the lowest quotation and they'll end up doing a terrible job for you.

Get two more quotations from other sources and ensure to inform them to break the project down to the minutest material. The you'll have a basis of comparison.

When Munir started handling mu projects, I also thought his quotations were high until a similar project just opposite mine which was being handled by a different person collapse right before my eyes. The job was a 4 flat which had reached roofing level. A part of the building collapsed because the site engineer used substandard materials and also reduced the thickness of the deck work just to cut/save costs.

Compare Munir's breakdown with quotations from others and then make up your mind.

It seems most of us are agreeing on the radio jingle option, I'll gladly tag along.
Jarus, you already have my email addy, drop our account info for me. I'll text it to you again in case you've lost it. I will also try to make the calls to those radio stations tomorrow.

Can anyone do a voice over that jingle on BB's FB page, extolling the virtues of the BB team and also informing the public why they should effect change by voting for the BB ticket.

I told you last time that investors are flocking into Nigeria like its a gold rush!! We have some of the best rates of return on investments in the world! True, there are huge challenges, but check this: MTN made more than 4 times more profits in Nigeria than the behemoth called Facebook made worldwide in 2009!!! Now you can't beat that!!
You have started telling lies again! MTN came to 9ja over 10 years ago and you are hear peddling falsehood. Abeg list the name of investors that have been flocking into Nigeria.
You need not lie to make a point. Nigerian investors are taking their businesses to Ghana and you are here beating your chest about some imaginary investors rushing into Nigeria. Obviously you have negligible knowledge about the primary drivers of FDIs (Foreign Direct Investments) into a country. The internet is there for you to make your research if you care to learn.

Al right everyone. If we want to go for the adverts, I have 150K to spare. If we are unable to agree, on time, I'll send the funds into the GTBank account posted on the BB campaign website.

However, I need those on ground in 9ja to confirm if there are BB jingles on Radio and/or TV in recent time. My understanding from a source close to the BB team was that they actually planned to roll out jingles two weeks before the election date. The same person told me it's costing roughly 15k per minute of jingles and actually said the team needs funds for election day logistics more than the funds for jingles.

BTW I also know Jarus and have spoken to him several times on this issue. I will also not mind channeling the 150K through him if we decide to go for jingles.

Why are you guys troubling yourselves over nothing? Haven't you noticed the news media that released the obviously falsehood news? How many real and truthful news have the likes of Vanguard, Tribune and Thisday news papers reported lately? If they are not reporting the tales of how they got 70miilion text messages to determine that GEJ has 60% of the votes, they'll be telling us how GEJ has ordered Federal ministries to patronize Nigerian made cars or even coming out with bogus stories of how Nigeria is the 4th fastest growing economy in the world.

We thank God for the internet and economic and financial institutions such as the IMF for making their findings readily available. Otherwise GEJ will be telling us through these 'cash and carry' news media prostitutes that Nigeria is now more beautiful than Dubai!

Dude mehn, I operate in Delta state so I don't know which bombs you are talking about during any elections. And seriously, there was no violence in the last elections. As for Kano, the fear naturally is the potential for CPC supporters to start lynching "Kufirs"!! So surely there is need for more than enough security in the state!!

But, cheer up man, despite all the pre election rancour, I still respect Buhari's tenacity and also respect you as a good contributor to a cause you believe in!
Do you really need to lie to make a point? Why should I even bother sef? Afterall GEJ has somehow swept all the bomb incidents across the nation under the carpet. Hence why would your likes not claim that all is well.
Lastly, in your warped reasoning, it's ok for FG to list Kano state as a potentially violent state even when the state has been virtually quiet for about 8 years now, while Delta state which had more than 4 bomb blasts incidents in the last one year is assumed to be more peaceful.

We know GEJ's methods and they'll be thwarted. Apparently since GEJ knows that Kano will vote en-mass for the BB ticket, it's only natural for GEJ to consider Kano state as a potentially violent state. We are watching and waiting.

You are consistently showing traits of someone who's suffering from memory loss as your posts across various threads in the Politics section are starting to evolve a clear pattern. In case your memory failed you, the last election in Delta state had pockets of violence. Ignorance is certainly worse than a disease.

I'm just wondering when we became bosom friends to the extent that I related the reason behind my choice of candidate to you.

In case you are not aware, I'm no dolt like you. I'm well past the age at which I have to be told what to do. If I were to follow shallow dim witted and bigoted minds like yours, I would have simply queued behind Ribadu/Adeola, the only Muslim/Muslim ticket. Or even towed a less Kufr (according to your bigoted and myopic mind) path and give my full support to a Shekarau/Oyegun ticket. It should also serve your ill-informed intolerant mind that Shekarau is perhaps the most vast Islamically amongst the three major Northern candidates. However, instead of towing the the footpath of ethno-religious bigotry, as you do, I chose Buhari/Bakare based after objectively assessing the achievements and accomplishments of these men and their stand against corruption.

I thank God that even sound Christian minds know that the difference between Buhari and GEJ is like comparing Day with Night; light versus darkness; competence versus ineptitude; integrity versus amorality. I'm not too surprised at your warped reasoning though, since your benefactor GEJ lacks the capacity to comprehend what the right qualities of a leader should be.
PoliticsRe: Buhari - Live In Kano With Pictures! by 9ijaMan: 5:38pm On Mar 31, 2011
DTaj:
I agree with PapaBrowne and a few others, These set of elections (2011) is the harbinger of gradual change from the culture of impunity by any ruling party. Governance (and real life-changing governance) would become the game changer in a few years,

Some of us have refrained from making high-sounding comments on the Presidential elections because it is so obvious that the battle against the power of  "the twin evils- ethnicity and religious bigotry"- had remained far from over. I shed silent tears when I read certain comments coming from otherwise educated minds within my generation (under 40 years-old), I had done massive canvassing at work and among other professionals and as much a I see hope, I also see a huge dose of disappointment, When asked to state the reasons behind their decision to vote for Goodluck, majority of people spoken to usually gave these 'hot-air, downright watery, obviously irrational' reasons- he hailed from a humble background, he's a minority, his parents were fishermen, he was a lecturer, he's a nice man, he's not opinionated, he's annointed, etc, etc, Could you imagine such issues being taken as the pivot for electing a President? The President of the most populous black nation!

Before people throw darts- I'm a professional, late 30s, married with children, fairly educated- first degree from a Naija Uni, MBA from a UK Uni, visited all the continents except Asia, never received any direct benefit from a party or a government, never closely met any government official beyond official occasions, Yoruba through and through, and from an extended parental background of Christains and Moslems,  And I WILL VOTE BUHARI-BAKARE!!!

Majority of Nigerians agree that CORRPUTION remains at the root of the Nigerian scourge, the so-called 'Nigerian factor', If anyone seeks to remain trampled upon owing to the lure of filthy political money, pure religious bigotry, meaningless cultural affiliation, or any other sentimental emptiness, the individual may wish to vote PDP,

I agree that Jonathan appears humble; however, a man sorrounded by Tony Anenih, Ojo Maduekwe, Ibrahim Mantu, Metuh, Mike Oghaidome, and their ilk would not achieve anything considerable, EVEN IF HE MEANS WELL, I was at a public discourse earlier in the year when a popular economist/finance guru (who was in charge of Naija's Budget Office in the recent past) stated that NOTHING WILL IMPROVE IN NIGERIA IF PDP WON THE ELECTION BECAUSE OF HIS EXPERIENCE AT THE PRESIDENCY UNDER PDP!!!

My compatriots, let's check our souls, the inner recess of our minds, since PDP took the reins of power in 1999 (12 years and still counting), what had really changed in the lives of Nigerians? What had changed? Check the list- power, water, employment, agriculture (we spent $1 billion importing rice last year!), education, health, industrialization, poverty ratio, etc, etc,

As an aside, why was it practically impossible for BAT to supplant BRF with another candidate in the run-up to ACN primaries? Simple- that would have sounded the end of BAT's political career! This is so because in the history of Lagos state, aside from possibly Jakande, BRF appears to be the most loved Governor (based on performance of course),  The other day, the ebullient and smooth-talking Governor of Niger State, Dr. Babangida Aliyu (of the PDP), stated at a public event that Nigeria would have been a virtual El-Dorado if we had 10 Fasholas! The Lagos PDP executive issued a press statement the next day and lampooned the Niger Governor! They felt bitter that a PDP Governor made a statement that could help an opposition (ACN) candidate win an election which was a few weeks away!!! But the poor Governor was speaking as a patriot, rather than a selfish interested party animal,

In this election, we could possibly be better off voting individuals rather than their parties, God Bless Nigeria and He should give us the Grace to discern the best for our tomorrow and the tomorrow of our children and children's children,

On April 9 2011, VOTE BUHARI-BAKARE, VOTE FOR INTEGRITY, VOTE FOR PROTECTION OF YOUR FUTURE!!!
Beside the comment you made about Papabrowne (a GEJ apologist), reading through your post seemed like you were referring to me and a lot of my friends. The other difference is that unlike you, the only continent I've not been to/lived in is South America. The level of infrastructural development I have witnessed in Asia indeed makes me feel terribly ashamed of our leaders.

I have a couple of Malaysian colleagues at work, who poke fun at us (Nigerians) for the sole reason of our underdevelopment. These Malaysians cannot comprehend the reason why a country (Nigeria) that sent a few agriculturists to Malaysia in the 1960s to teach them how to make money from Oil Palm, has continued to wallow in poverty and unable to make the best out of the same commodity. In 2009 Malaysia made about 50 billion Ringgits (roughly 2.25 trillion Naira) from oil palm alone. That figure is almost half of the Budget for Nigeria in 2011.

Nigerians need to come out en-mass to vote out PDP at least at the presidency level.

Perhaps it'll do you a lot of good to refresh your memory. GEJ's campaign in Lagos (the state with the largest registered voters) pulled a lot less crowd compared to what Buhari pulled in Ilorin. So what exactly is your point on this issue?

Your ignorance is really overwhelming. Despite all your pretense to be able to understand politics in Nigeria, you failed woefully in discerning which party Bukola Saraki belongs to.
