DCGUY:You are welcome o! I'll advice you to try 2 or more opinions before you finally commit yourself. Sometimes you'll find some guys with the lowest quotation and they'll end up doing a terrible job for you. Get two more quotations from other sources and ensure to inform them to break the project down to the minutest material. The you'll have a basis of comparison. When Munir started handling mu projects, I also thought his quotations were high until a similar project just opposite mine which was being handled by a different person collapse right before my eyes. The job was a 4 flat which had reached roofing level. A part of the building collapsed because the site engineer used substandard materials and also reduced the thickness of the deck work just to cut/save costs. Compare Munir's breakdown with quotations from others and then make up your mind. |
It seems most of us are agreeing on the radio jingle option, I'll gladly tag along. Jarus, you already have my email addy, drop our account info for me. I'll text it to you again in case you've lost it. I will also try to make the calls to those radio stations tomorrow. Can anyone do a voice over that jingle on BB's FB page, extolling the virtues of the BB team and also informing the public why they should effect change by voting for the BB ticket. |
PapaBrowne:You have started telling lies again! MTN came to 9ja over 10 years ago and you are hear peddling falsehood. Abeg list the name of investors that have been flocking into Nigeria. You need not lie to make a point. Nigerian investors are taking their businesses to Ghana and you are here beating your chest about some imaginary investors rushing into Nigeria. Obviously you have negligible knowledge about the primary drivers of FDIs (Foreign Direct Investments) into a country. The internet is there for you to make your research if you care to learn. |
Al right everyone. If we want to go for the adverts, I have 150K to spare. If we are unable to agree, on time, I'll send the funds into the GTBank account posted on the BB campaign website. However, I need those on ground in 9ja to confirm if there are BB jingles on Radio and/or TV in recent time. My understanding from a source close to the BB team was that they actually planned to roll out jingles two weeks before the election date. The same person told me it's costing roughly 15k per minute of jingles and actually said the team needs funds for election day logistics more than the funds for jingles. BTW I also know Jarus and have spoken to him several times on this issue. I will also not mind channeling the 150K through him if we decide to go for jingles. |
We've just about 9 days to the D-day. The BB momentum will keep rising. I hope GEJ has contacted prime movers to come help him get his baggage out of Aso Rock and back to Otueke! ![]() |
Why are you guys troubling yourselves over nothing? Haven't you noticed the news media that released the obviously falsehood news? How many real and truthful news have the likes of Vanguard, Tribune and Thisday news papers reported lately? If they are not reporting the tales of how they got 70miilion text messages to determine that GEJ has 60% of the votes, they'll be telling us how GEJ has ordered Federal ministries to patronize Nigerian made cars or even coming out with bogus stories of how Nigeria is the 4th fastest growing economy in the world. We thank God for the internet and economic and financial institutions such as the IMF for making their findings readily available. Otherwise GEJ will be telling us through these 'cash and carry' news media prostitutes that Nigeria is now more beautiful than Dubai! |
PapaBrowne:Do you really need to lie to make a point? Why should I even bother sef? Afterall GEJ has somehow swept all the bomb incidents across the nation under the carpet. Hence why would your likes not claim that all is well. Lastly, in your warped reasoning, it's ok for FG to list Kano state as a potentially violent state even when the state has been virtually quiet for about 8 years now, while Delta state which had more than 4 bomb blasts incidents in the last one year is assumed to be more peaceful. We know GEJ's methods and they'll be thwarted. Apparently since GEJ knows that Kano will vote en-mass for the BB ticket, it's only natural for GEJ to consider Kano state as a potentially violent state. We are watching and waiting. |
fzmorris:And so shall it be, by the Grace of God. |
farouqb:@Farouq, You need not worry too much about Shekarau, he may not even be able to win his ward let alone cause any problem for Buhari. |
PapaBrowne:You are consistently showing traits of someone who's suffering from memory loss as your posts across various threads in the Politics section are starting to evolve a clear pattern. In case your memory failed you, the last election in Delta state had pockets of violence. The various bombings in Warri, Ughelli and other parts of the state throughout last year are clear indications of violence in delta state. Meanwhile, when last was there a violent incident in Kano State? If your memory is failing you, kindly note that it's not everyone who's having partial amnesia like you. |
richidinho:Do you really understand the meaning of the word illiterate? Abeg just take a look at a mirror and you'll find one starring at you! Olodo rabata! Yet your folks will be beating their chest that they sent you to school, not knowing they actually wasted their time, energy and resources. Perhaps it'll do you a lot of good if you enroll in evening classes. |
Rossikk:I really can't blame you. So those innoson guys manufactured the cars right from the scratch abi? Another Nigerian school leaver who cannot differentiate between manufacture and assemble. Abeg make you continue to dey wallow in your ignorance o! Help yourself by visiting the link below to read more about your so called made in Nigeria car! https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-358817.0.html |
PapaBrowne:I'm just wondering when we became bosom friends to the extent that I related the reason behind my choice of candidate to you. In case you are not aware, I'm no dolt like you. I'm well past the age at which I have to be told what to do. If I were to follow shallow dim witted and bigoted minds like yours, I would have simply queued behind Ribadu/Adeola, the only Muslim/Muslim ticket. Or even towed a less Kufr (according to your bigoted and myopic mind) path and give my full support to a Shekarau/Oyegun ticket. It should also serve your ill-informed intolerant mind that Shekarau is perhaps the most vast Islamically amongst the three major Northern candidates. However, instead of towing the the footpath of ethno-religious bigotry, as you do, I chose Buhari/Bakare based after objectively assessing the achievements and accomplishments of these men and their stand against corruption. I thank God that even sound Christian minds know that the difference between Buhari and GEJ is like comparing Day with Night; light versus darkness; competence versus ineptitude; integrity versus amorality. I'm not too surprised at your warped reasoning though, since your benefactor GEJ lacks the capacity to comprehend what the right qualities of a leader should be. |
DTaj:Beside the comment you made about Papabrowne (a GEJ apologist), reading through your post seemed like you were referring to me and a lot of my friends. The other difference is that unlike you, the only continent I've not been to/lived in is South America. The level of infrastructural development I have witnessed in Asia indeed makes me feel terribly ashamed of our leaders. I have a couple of Malaysian colleagues at work, who poke fun at us (Nigerians) for the sole reason of our underdevelopment. These Malaysians cannot comprehend the reason why a country (Nigeria) that sent a few agriculturists to Malaysia in the 1960s to teach them how to make money from Oil Palm, has continued to wallow in poverty and unable to make the best out of the same commodity. In 2009 Malaysia made about 50 billion Ringgits (roughly 2.25 trillion Naira) from oil palm alone. That figure is almost half of the Budget for Nigeria in 2011. Nigerians need to come out en-mass to vote out PDP at least at the presidency level. |
Adanora:Apparently your understanding of security is the ease with which individuals are able to go to the stadium to see football matches. Wonders shall never cease to occur. And you consider yourself a someone who passed through the 4 walls of a school abi? I blame you not sha, since we have a PhD wielding president who is unable to explain the simple term 'job security'! |
babytoun:Go to all the federal Universities in the ND region to find out. If you are too blinded by religious and ethnic bigotry, go to those institutions and their respective teaching hospitals to confirm all PTF funded and executed projects when Buhari led the organization. |
richidinho:And who exactly is it that has conferred such a status on BON? How did you come up with such a ludicrous conclusion that BON is the most qualified. CNN is perhaps the most widely view news channel in the US across the world, yet CNN will never arrogate it itself the status of being the most qualified news channel to conduct an American presidential debate. Ignorance is certainly worse than a disease. |
jmaine:Now that your Pat has chickened out of the race, what says you? |
viceb:Is this the line of attack the GEJ camp wants to resort to? EVen when they released a list of possible violent states during the elections and stupidly included Kano state, while Delta state was missing in the list. |
PapaBrowne:Perhaps it'll do you a lot of good to refresh your memory. GEJ's campaign in Lagos (the state with the largest registered voters) pulled a lot less crowd compared to what Buhari pulled in Ilorin. So what exactly is your point on this issue? Your ignorance is really overwhelming. Despite all your pretense to be able to understand politics in Nigeria, you failed woefully in discerning which party Bukola Saraki belongs to. Bukola still remains a PDP member and not ACPN as you obliviously quoted. I cannot blame you so much though, since you belong to the camp of a president who cannot even explain the term 'job security' correctly. |
PapaBrowne:Below are pixes showing Buhari at Lokoja township stadium! edicolove:And there goes another GEJ crony scurrying away with tails between his legs in shame. SImle questions were asked and the best he can do is to bolt! No qualms April 9 is jst by the corner. |
If we cannot patronize Nigerian plastic companies to buy garbage bins, which easier to manufacture in 9ja compared to cars, how can any one believe this political talk will make any impact. Beaf, we are not deceived by your benefactor's dubious statements. Just as someone has said above, GEJ should lead the way by changing all the cars in his convoy to 9ja assembled ones. BTW we are still assembling cars in 9ja and not making them o! Apparently a PhD holder with the name tag GEJ does not know the difference between 'made in Nigeria' and 'assembled in Nigeria'. |
edicolove:Sometimes I wonder if you read your posts before hitting the reply button. Knowing you are a GEJ apologist it didn't bother me as such. GEJ not a hypocrite? You are kidding I suppose. What happened to "it's not MEND, we know those who are behind the bombings" stance of your clueless president after the October-1 Abuja bombings incident. GEJ blamed it all on his political opponents in PDP back then, and went as far as showing some concocted and slowpoke!c text messages on national TV in his shameless attempt at implicating IBB. Today, IBB is GEJ's father, mentor and advicer all rolled up in one and Dokpesi is actively campaigning for him. I know you GEJ fans are short on memory, unfortunately for you Nigerians can no longer be fooled. People have asked you and yur ilks to give details of GEJ's achievements in his 12 years in governance and you have woefully failed to mention just one accomplishment, yet you come out here to spew garbage in your warped bid to defend ineptitude and shamelessness. |
^^^War ke. .? |
Despite all my fears, Kwara and Ilorin has not disappointed. Buhari all the way! https://a3.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/196892_139159332820687_116280281775259_238669_1767958_n.jpg Kwara State for Buhari/Bakare 2011 |
DCGUY:I've just spoken with him and he told me he's responded to your request. He promised to send you a second response tomorrow. |
aletheia:And what is their outlook if I may ask? |
When last did U here of violence in Delta state
