K9blunt:Bro as stated, I just got the mail sent to so many mails. The country should come strong on such because I know the western nation don't wish Nigeria good and u have lost confidence in the government ability to protect us from this kind of treat, considering the errors it's been making in its policies consistently administration after administration . They will be a need to raise as a people and demand responsibility from the government in case of such a treat. How trust I don't know but sounds very logical. We saw with our own eyes what the west did with ebola in Africa and Obama clear position on Nigeria. I also heard of the accusations of France in its support for Boko haram. |
House I got this mail from a mass mailing group. Do you think this should brought to the front burner and attention of government? What is being done in the ministry of agriculture on the staple crop infestation that is currently ongoing in the country? Can we demand openness on the part of the government and ministry of agriculture what is their policies position on the issue that is affecting the country on no one is giving it an emergency approach? |
Please house could this be true ![]() ?Intelicor has uncovered plans by Monsanto to take over all major stable crops of the 180 million Nigerians. This will pose an existential threat to Africa’s most populous country. An era with food security hijacked by the Western biotechnology firm Monsanto could breed a new form of independence struggle against biological colonialism. France may not stand aside looking. The latest attempt is the release of Tuta absoluta, a plant pathogen that cause rotten tomatoes. This pathogen was released by agents of Monsanto in the Northern farms in Nigeria. This would clear the way for the Federal Government of Nigeria to adopt the hybrid GMOs tomatoes grown by the Monsanto partner called Dangote, owned by the Nigerian billionaire Aliko Dangote. The plan backed by USAID has been under works for some years as Monsanto strategized to take over all the stable crops in Nigeria by making them genetically modified organisms (GMOs), so that they cannot replicate. The farmers will depend on Monsanto seeds forever. That is, if Nigeria survives longer than just a few years at the mercy of Monsanto. The have hijacked all the food security of Nigeria covering crops like rice, maize, beans, yam, tomatoes, cassava, millet sorghum, banana and the list goes on. Several tactics have been implemented including killing and displacing farmers from the Northeast states of Nigeria, in the mostly Muslim region, using hired terrorists called Boko Haram. The name meaning ‘Western education is bad’, does not show in the actions of the terrorists. In Nigeria, the Western interests have never been attacked by the terrorist group Boko Haram. French interests in the country have been spared from the violence. Rather, the Boko Haram targets mainly Muslims who account for more than 70% of the staple crops that grow in Nigeria. The new front is the tomatoes and cassava. The cassava plant is a staple crop in all of Western Africa, and was targeted with Cassava mosaic virus by Monsanto in the Southeast and Southwest Nigeria. The same hired terrorists disguise as Fulani herdsmen to wipe up ethnic sentiments and divert attention from Monsanto and their co-conspirators. The idea is to replace cassava with the genetically modified yellow cassava seeds that Monsanto falsely claims is pro-vitamin. Scientists we contacted at a renowned laboratory here in Paris dismissed these claims after testing samples and reviewing work done on the GMO cassava, saying that, the so-called pro-vitamin cassava added no nutritional value as a processed food. Instead, we were told that the starch is of even very low quality, with toxic levels of pesticides. It may only be good as biofuels as used in Brazil. Experts at the Earth Observatory using commercial satellite remote sensing images have tracked that, there is an alarming rate of land cover used for GMOs cassava across West Africa by Western companies and their proxies. This is an ominous development raising real concern to the national security of the ECOWAS countries. The crops are grown with massive use of pesticide and chemicals that may forever change the once pristine water aquifer of Nigeria. Fish found in surrounding ponds as unfit for human consumption due to toxicity of chemicals from the round-up pesticides used in these farms. Water analysis of the samples collected by a visiting French agronomist, analyzed here in Paris show toxic levels of major pesticide chemicals including dichlorovos. Last year, the cancer causing chemical dichlorovos was found by European Union Toxicologists to be as high as 460 times the threshold levels in GMOs foods from Nigeria. The EU declared foods from Nigeria unfit for human consumption due to toxic levels of these chemicals. Nigeria’s past administration agricultural Minister Dr Akinwumi Adesina allowed unhindered access to the countries food chain to Western biotechnology companies like Monsanto, who took great advantage. Corruption in government of directors at the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture and Root Crop institutes have helped to propagate the GMOs crops. The future for Africa is for the first time is very bleak, should this menace by biotechnology companies go further unchecked. French authorities are keeping a close eye on foods from Nigeria but are doing nothing to caution the francophone Western African states about the hazards. One observer warned that, this may well be a well conceived conspiracy by Western countries for a full domination of Black Africa. Others disagree and point to the unwholesome business practices of the Americans, particularly the major billionaire investors in Monsanto driving the process in collaboration with Nigerian businessmen and politicians. Some say that, Monsanto wants to unleash the hazard in Africa and sell itself to Bayer, Germany and operate as a hidden viper, escaping investigations. President Muhammadu Buhari of Nigeria may want to fight this problem, but it may prove to be more difficult in practice since Monsanto appears entrenched with friends in key ministries like agriculture, health, environment, power and energy in his government. All hope is not lost, there may be some government officials in Paris who do not like what is going on. One official unanimously said that ‘if we do not help them now, the external help may come from China and Russia’. Russian virologists have long suspected that these Monsanto viruses would jump species and affect crops that grown in Russia. Should this happen, the World may go into the First Biotechnology World War. It maybe the best time to raise global concerns, since the government of Nigeria appears ill-prepared to deal with the challenges now. Milliken A. ADP. Paris. 5.05.2016 |
badttrader:Truthfully even if anybody says anything about Jesus, the bible says I should allow him say more. I am not permitted to do anything to that person. Instead I'm instructed to pray for that person and if don't pray, then I have committed a sin because that's the right thing to do. |
If he must work with the FG. Buhari should first recognise the conference report, summit it to national assembly and propose time line fro it's implementation. Nigeria is not made up of stupid people. We are smarter than this. |
Whathaveidone:I just pray the FG allocate the oil block in lagos to a kano man. Then you'll make that comment again I suppose. |
Implementation of the confab report is the solution to Nigeria wahala. Implementation of a trusted fiscal federal regime in resource allocation and management will handle the issue. Nobody should determine a people development in any way. Nobody dey do Nigeria. Na our leaders no wan dear do the right thing. Simple |
If I were the president I would implement a true fiscal federalism. This will reduce the over concentration of power at the center and devolve more responsibility to the federation units. It will make them wear their thinking cap because technically, growth will be localised with the people and competitive. This will automatically take care of the current injustice of resources management. It will remove corruption at the center while the focus will be on the federation units. The killings will be managed because every state will be responsible for its residency procedures and management of its population and their protection. |
This thing is simple. The fact that there is negative energy towards the "noble event" shows something is fundamentally wrong with the current structure of federalism we are practising. No matter how noble this event and many other events are, nobody destiny should be determined by another. We are growing and developing everyday. The current structure of a truth can't sustain these population and this agitation. The NDDC , North east development commission , 13% , etc will not in any way ensure justice, fairness and equity. I strongly believe that it's right time we implement true fiscal federalism. The states or regions should manage and administrate their regions. They should be responsible for the economic; educational; resource management, internal security and growth of their region while the federal government handles the currency, army, international relations, etc for the nation. The state governors and local government chairman would solely responsible for the wellbeing and delivery of democratic dividend to the people. We need this change now. I am very grateful to God oil was found in Lagos. Now I hope there will be peace when those blocks will be allocated to Northerners ? I rest my case. |
Ovamboland:Chalie are the states supposed to get 13% derivative or the federal government in a true federal structure? |
Place add me to your group. 08060639669 |
lets practice true federalism. this will become a joke i tell you. If we practice true federal structure with the state controlling the resources completely, we will be shocked with how progressive Nigeria will become. it will be fantastically unbelievable how we will expect growth and within 10 years we will equal world powers because the crust of development will be left to the states and local govt. |
next time she should allow her HUSBAND. i may not like beat her but i have other worse medium, na her go woka naked for me. |

Okey for all those saying Niger Delta Avengers are mad and stupid, try to be the only person in your family who feeds everybody even when your are sick. You are the only one especially as a woman (wife (minority)) who pays the children school fees, wash your husband cloths, wash plates for inlaws when they around, sweep the compand and yet when you cry the whole family calls you wicked and insensitive. All you said was the family should sit down together and assign responsibility to each person. They said you are mad. You decide to take laws into your hands and broke the cooking pot, they said its your plan to kill the whole family(terrorist). Hummmmmm the major issue that has kept this country this way and will keep the country same way in the next 50 years is COMMON SENSE. No advance nation practice this type of federation especially as it consigns resource control. E.g USA, Canada, Britain, Norway, Holland ETC. We are only one Nigeria because of Northern Nigeria. If they had oil, sea ports and grass, We would have long time been divided or rather never would have been one Nigeria in the first place. |
If this are truly the demands of this group then they are truly better than boko harm, human and have very negotiable deals. There is no need for military in this business. It calls for wide and deep diplomatic intelligence to be put in place to manage the crisis. |
Is the guy Igbo. Abi na oba curse dey follow am ne? Him voter of PDP |
AnanseK:Hummmm wonders will never end. Just as you wanted GEJ to go Maiduguri and resolve Boko Haram and save the chibok girls. |
gbrown:You are wonderfully more confused oh. Its Buhari that first said it would sign a loan and later said it did not sign. Fayose na citizen like us. na only wetin Buhari talk, we go react to. Its called policy administration. |
Goke7:And when APC did all he said, it wasn't a national disgrace she? God save them it wasn't that undemocratic obasanjo, all of them 4 dey jail. Na 21st century democrat GEJ be, na him make. |
bennywise30:Very true my friend. With this action it will worse for our teaming youth. The government should have stock to the grow the naira campaigns, buy nigeria campaigns. Make legislation to make corporate nigeria buy nigeria first etc. The few car companies coming to Nigeria don't have any reason to continue to invest here any longer. They go back home and export to Nigeria. |
XketchDesigns:But honestly study the terms of this loan abi na economic partnership and tell me if it's in your interest. We sold out cheaply. I'm beginning to have more respect for GEJ. This is too cheap. As if we are worse than Zimbabwe |
BY Maxwell Adeyemi Adeleye In the words of Adetomiwa (2016), development is a culture and not a product. We can’t buy development no matter how much money we have or borrow. Today, some section of the country are jubilating that freedom has come. They are happy that God, through the republic of China, is about to deliver them from the formidable hegemony of US. They are happy and they want everybody to be happy. However, let me as a citizen of Nigeria say that I have an objection. I don’t just jubilate because people are jubilating. I censor why people jubilate before I choose to jubilate or walk away. Therefore, on the China-Nigeria forex deal, I am of the opinion that the media handlers of President Buhari are just taking the ignorance of the large population of Nigerians for granted and some who are well lettered to know the truth are not talking; apparently, they don’t want to offend some certain interests. Let me say equivocally that nothing goes to the developing nations from developed nations free of charge. Any President taking foreign loan is not helping his people. That is the rule in international political economy. The more we borrow, the more pauperized we become; the more we subject our citizens to slavery and economic bondage; the more we subject the independent and sovereignty of our country to foreign encroachment. Simply put, according to the empirically analyzed and well-critiqued Marxist Perspective to the study of international political economy, a foreign loan or foreign aide is defined as an instrument which the Developed Nations have consistently been using institutionally, to colonize or neo-colonize the Developing Nations. That is Foreign loan is a tool being used by developed nations to colonize developing sovereign nations. Consequently I am saying without any fear or favour that I refuse to be carried away by the current media conspiracy from the Nigerian presidency. China, like other western hegemonies, is not a Father Christmas. China wants to lend Nigerian government two billion dollars, but they want to give us in Yuan and not the dollar itself. How sensible is that? More also, let it be on record that China is not handling cash to Nigeria. What they want to do is what is called “service exchange” in international market; meaning that if we want to buy stove, we buy it from Chinese company to be recommended by Chinese government and they pay the company on our behalf. If we want to construct railway, they will construct it for us. All the equipment to be used are to be made in China. The contract must be executed by a Chinese firm. Chinese government is to pay the contractors. We are bound to award contracts to them. Non-Chinese firms can’t bid or compete to reduce the cost. Also, as equally posited by a social commentator, Tomi Adetomiwa, Chinese government values the contract and determine the price. The implication of this is that they can sell something worth N300 for N300 and we don’t have a choice than to accept. The fact is that the $2billion loan is still in China. A dime will not leave their economy. The money remains with China. N1 will not enter Nigeria market from it. Furthermore, the worst of it is that China want us to pay back the loan in dollars and not yuan. And we are to move part of our foreign reserve to Yuan, a currency that is manipulated openly by the Chinese government. Sometime ago, during the reign of Lamido Sanusi as CBN Governor, China sold us Yuan at 4 to a dollar, only to devalue their currency few weeks latter to 9 Yuan per 1 $. Many Nigerians are presently jubilating not knowing that they are celebrating their oppressors. Many do not know that even Chinese companies don’t want yuan. They transact their businesses in dollar. The funniest part of this scenario is that Chinese foreign reserve is in dollars, not yuan, yet China want us to move part of our foreign reserve to Yuan. What a contradiction! For the records, China, as at today, remain the largest holder of US bond in the international financial market. I stand corrected. I also found out that China has more lobbyists in Washington DC, the capital of United States, than any other nation on the surface of earth, begging and pleading with Washington political gladiators to always make policy in their favour. Now, country people, how can such a country save us from the hegemony of American dollar? Why do we like to be pushed without questioning the oppressors that are masquerading as saviors? The reality is that China can not do anything against the interest of America in Nigeria. America weigh too much political power over China. China will continue to inflate the contract price, refuse to complete the project and deceive us further. Isn’t funny that the country (China) whose foreign reserve is domicile in dollar want us to change part of our reserve to yuan? Lastly, I don’t blame Chinese leaders for trying to encroach Nigeria, I blame our leaders for not being smart enough. I blame those interested in media propaganda than facing the reality. On this note, I posit that only Nigeria can help Nigerians. The solution to the economic militating against Nigeria is not foreign loan. The more foreign loan we take the more poorer we become. Nigerian government should implement true federalism system and make our market economy open and free in all ramifications. You cannot regulate and deregulate. I so submit. Yes yes yes only nigerians can help nigeria. I wish the president can lock up and grow the economy organicly. This was something I will remember the last administration for. Though it started very late. |
