L.I.B actually extracted some parts of the clip to make it look outrageous & serve as food for her fellow feminists.
With civilization & Education, most women now believe they are at par with men and do not want to be under the control of any man. They prefer to be baby mamas/single mothers.
Honestly with the way things are going, in the near future, marriage will no longer be seen as a sacred Union and many people, especially women will see no reason to marry again but rather be baby mamas/single mothers. It's already happening in advanced countries & we can see traces in Africa too. olassybaba: This is not even a Muslim or Christian thing. Perhaps a “protest” is not the best approach...
But Pastor Adeboye sets himself out as a MORAL AUTHORITY in Nigeria (and many times have commented on the state of the nation). Accordingly, it is not inherently misdirected for people to request that he lend his much-avowed (and much-respected in many quarters) MORAL AUTHORITY towards addressing and redressing some of the many pressing problems of the nation.
Meanwhile, the number of times the term “insult” appears in the CAN statement unfortunately betrays that the Nigerian religious establishment hardly grasps (nor internalizes) the basic concept of HUMILITY upon which their ministry is supposedly anchored. Instead, much like their counterparts in government, they often are contemptuous of the masses whose money they live on. > |

I know they are doing all these to stop Northern youths, Chadians and Niger youths from joining Islamic terror groups but will that stop them I doubt because they are ungrateful lazy youths who hate progress and civilisation, instead they will still count this good gesture as one of the numerous sins Igbos have been committing against them Lordbukas: A southerner running a program for the northerners. Why the discrimination ? This is highly unfortunate This is a UNDP program...The UNDP is merely partnering with the Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF), as some other organizations and governments (national and sub national) have, working with the TEF through the very successful entrepreneurship and mentoring program already established under the TEF Entrepreneurship Program. However, it is an entirely UNDP initiative and entirely (100%) UNDP funds. Accordingly, in addition to other Partners of the TEF Program (see below), the Program will have as much as 3050 (instead of the usual 1000 TEF) participants this cycle. Other Partners of the TEF and the TEF Entrepreneurship Program include the Anambra State government, Botswana and Benin Republic (in addition to African Development Bank). These Partners use their own funds (just like the UNDP is doing) to sponsor the participation of their own candidates, nationals/citizens in the TEF Entrepreneurship Program. It’s a WIN-WIN, because these Partners do not have to create their own individual entrepreneurship training and mentoring program and associated infrastructure, and the TEF Program has more beneficiaries. > |

> This is a UNDP program... It is merely partnering with the Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF), as some other agencies and governments (national and sub national) have.
In the 4 previous cycles of the TEF Entrepreneurship program (this year is the 5th cycle), there has been very negligible numbers of beneficiaries (even applicants) from the North (and presumably from the Sahel region). The UNDP is trying to extend entrepreneurship and small business development in these regions, and is therefore putting in entirely its own funds (100%), but working with the TEF through the very successful entrepreneurship and mentoring program already established under the TEF Entrepreneurship Program. However, it is an entirely UNDP initiative and entirely (100%) UNDP funds. Accordingly, in addition to other Partners of the TEF Program (see below), the Program will end up with as much as 3050 (instead of the usual 1000 TEF) participants this cycle (last year was about 2000).

mosho2good: When many African lady say "I struggled with him", They Simply mean "They were there when he was Struggling"
Many don't really understand the difference between "I was there when he was struggling" and "I struggled with him"
A lady has once used that statement to display how angry she was towards her ex. She thought I will sympathize with her and start raining insult on her ex.
When I asked her few questions? We found out that she was just there when the young man was busy struggling and suffering.
While it's very commendable and worthy to know that you stayed with him despite him having nothing, also know that, Staying with him is different from Struggling with him.
You claim you struggled with him but despite him being broke, he still takes care of 95% of the expenses in the relationship. He even placed you on little weekly/monthly allowance from the very little he earns.
He does the calling 70% of the time and even sends you airtime once in a while.
Your only contribution was transport fare that you have only sponsored 50% of the time. Your national anthem is "It's well baby", "God is in control".
Is that struggling with someone?
No business idea or opportunity shared by you, No brain storming, no financial aid. Just words.
Some of you have really tried, you stayed with him when he had nothing, you never mind if he gives you 5,000 or 10,000. You just manage anything he gives you without complaining.
But please, Know that, It's not called "Struggle with him". It's STAYING WITH HIM WHEN HE WAS STRUGGLING.
That you are a mechanic doesn't make you a car owner. That you are parked in the garage doesn't make you a Car.
Stop Blackmailing Men. Know the difference. What is this drivel doing on this particular thread? Meanwhile, you don’t obviously grasp the importance of emotional support. SMH > |

KenModi: Yah. Keep putting up signs that say “your taxes are at work” and not taking measures to punish those don’t pay and ensure they is a little loophole as possible for those who intend evading taxes; and see if there would be any taxes left to be used to even erect those signs.
Keep encouraging them to live up to their civic responsibilities by putting up signs. As if people actually care about signs. In fact don’t only put up signs, erect billboards!! Nonsense!
The only way people would comply is if they know there are consequences if they don’t comply. Nigerians need iron hand! Real hot iron hands. That is only when that useless country with lots of potentials would move forward!
U.S citizens as well as citizens of other saner countries don’t pay their taxes because their government puts up signs that their taxes are at work, they only pay because they know there are grave consequences for tax evasion.
And that is exactly what Nigerians need. Serious iron hand that would either make them bend or break if they try to steal from the govt.
And by the way, I never intended telling you where I currently reside. That info is my private business and is of no use to you cos for all i know, you may be a thief, cyber hacker, online scammer or a kidnapper. Only brought up the fact that I don’t live in the U.S because you out of no where threw Trump into the matter.
What has Trump got to do with the American people not singing the praises of their governors at every single thing they do. Or is Donald Trump a governor
And in your words he promotes himself, and not a majority of the people promoting him and singing his praises at everything he does. He sings his own praises.
Can you please explain to me using your low IQ brain how Trump singing his own praises connects with Nigerians singing the praises of their governors
You are not interested in discoursing “anthropological discourse about the Nigerian psyche or personality” but you go on to tell me I would forever be imprinted with Nigerian genes.

KenModi: Paying your taxes and holding your government accountable so they use your tax money properly. Thats how a country can move forward!
Glad you indirectly agreed with me that the problem of Nigeria is fundamentally Nigerians themselves; not the leaders, not politicians but Nigerians. Ordinary, everyday Nigerians are the problem of that country because aside the fact that they don’t pay their taxes, it is from this same lot that the leaders of the country are picked from. They are not imported from other countries or brought from space.
The slapping senator is he from Mali, he is a Nigerian and he reflects the true nature of Nigerians - Rude, brass, authoritative and quick to temper. Those shouting online for his arrest and prosecution would do even worse if they had an ounce of his position or power as a senator. No desire to veer widely off topic... You b*tched about the activities of the governor being publicized when he was merely doing what he was supposed to do, and a rational explanation was proffered wrt that point. The reason that virtually every LASG project under the past administration had a sign that read “Your Taxes at Work” is precisely because it is necessary to convince taxpayers and potential taxpayers of the utility of paying taxes. Meanwhile, people who do not pay taxes have NO right (moral nor legal) to hold anyone else accountable because they are effectively “stealing” from the commonwealth themselves. Accordingly, anything that encourages everyone to live up to their respective civic responsibilities is GREAT! Meanwhile, not really interested in any anthropological discourse about the Nigerian psyche or personality, except to note wherever you may currently reside (and please don’t tell me because I really could not care less), you and your progeny will forever be IMPRINTED with Nigerian genes (and probably some modicum Nigerian mores and cultural values). > |
