olujinmisamson1: We hope Lautech won't deny this news so that we won't suspend them from Nigerian Universites .. but the punishment is too much na , what has he done? Don’t mind them! Nigerian universities love to flex... But if it was one of their rapey lecturers/profs they would act dumb (apart from the OAU dude caught on tape). Anyway, if dude needs to he can simply take them to court and have his certificate and privileges restored. You cannot abort a child after she has already been born, and dude has already fulfilled all of the requirements of the certificate. It’s one thing if he forged the WASC certificate which he used to gain admission or his grades or was fraudulent in respect of certain academic or other requirements for his certificate or graduation. But simply making up a tall tale on the Internet about being victimized by an un-named lecturer is unlikely to hold up in a court of law as valid grounds for POST-university de-certification. If the university is in some nebulous way worried about its ‘reputation”, then an official statement detailing the correct facts would have sufficed. This is an attempt to kill a fly with a nuclear bomb! > |

We have a very pressing issue that would have a greater impact on everyone of us as citizen of this country but here they are picking on individuals and pretending to be human right activist meanwhile it's all for the recognition and trending for future political gains. Why are the so called celebrities kept quiet on the Ruga settlement issue? Have they suddenly lost there voices? Nigerian celebrities are trash and the gullible people that take them as role models. When will the useless so called celebrities use there platforms to mobilize there followers to revolt against government policies that would at the long run have a down turn impact on our economy. How about the level of insecurity in the country, unemployment, bad infrastructural development, weak institutions etc. The so called celebrities in this country is a joke Abegi, quit conflating issues... > |

I remember natasha from big brother the chase, she was big but she was super entertaining and viewers loved her. Everybody here entered the house based on connection anyways, they just chose their people fat or slim. First, had to look her up, but Natasha may be a on the plum side but she’s not fat... Memphitz537: To be honest, this show is toxic. We are depreciating as a nation and I am bothered for the future. We no longer promote educational shows, talent shows like The Apprentice Africa,The Debaters,Gulder ultimate search and so many more went into oblivion. Airtel used to have a show then where universities from all over Africa competes. It was fun watching it then. East African countries are partaking in chess game all over the world, creating opportunities for their youths. Kenya,Ghana and so many more are leaving us behind. I bleed within, so many potentials wasting away. Look at how many Nigerians are getting snatched from us by other countries. They are bringing out the best in them meanwhile here our intelligent, smart, talented ones are wasting away. The Nigeria I am seeing now will only get worse and in shambles in few years to come while other African nations will rise up and leave us behind. There is fire on the mountain top and no one cares. Truly,Nigerians living in Nigeria are the worst set of foolish individuals currently on Planet earth. If Nigeria develops even halfway to the level of other countries with BB (US, UK, Brazil, etc.), we will have blown.. A primary problem in Nigeria is chasing shadows in derogation of substance. BBN is NOT the reason for Nigeria’s woeful condition! > |

It’s a free country and they can protest whatever they choose - even the color of his shirt... Meanwhile, only in a BACKWARD country is the coercive power of the state used by a PRIVATE individual against fellow citizens. In civilized countries, the power of the state (especially its police powers) are used to protect protesters and to accord them the freedom to exercise their constitutional rights of free expression. In Nigeria, even some NLers believe that “BIG men” have MORE rights than the average citizen. SMH > |
