But the height between them is a wide margin that got fans talking. They complained that the man is too long and tall as Tekno looks smaller.

whirlout:
I always shake my head for Africa, Nigerians in particular. Why all this inferiority complex and the need to announce or project at every turn. When a show puts you first, it's generally bad news cos u know the place is never at capacity. Some of the other acts are probably still in bed as the same for some of the fans. The fact you perform first is an achievement but it only makes you the opener not the headliner. Headliner is the main act, the guy people came to see and as seen on the chart, that will be Meek Mill with his 60 minute allotment way more than anybody else and also with his primetime slot. I dont get this boys immaturity and all these young artist who are always looking for validation internationally. I so much love Burna boy, his attitude and just doing his thing and dont give a hoot about any projection. Am glad hes taken over atm. Davido is really going to be old news soon really, no new material worth a damn.
Oh, the IRONY... grin grin grin

so you must give it intensity abi
relegate others to the background... because there are many stories...
& too see how many us have been biased & select which one will please us in passing judgement; pastor TB Joshua was recently accused.. but never carried 10% intensity compared to the almost 97% intensity we gave to the Coza saga..

and many other rape allegations before & during the Coza saga.

we not different from those who perpetuate jungle justice... here on social media platforms we do by preference, relegate others to the background & then put in great intensity on it
On the contrary, it ELEVATES the ENTIRE subject matter (look at all the ordinary folk sharing similar stories since)...
Even here on NL, rape stories are always on the front page but more in gossipy terms, and this is one of the few times it’s examined in depth.

The one characteristic about Nigerians/Africans appear to be a reluctance to frontally (even publicly) confront unpleasant issues and TRUTHS...
For better or for worse, when high-visibility persons are involved, it compels/forces us to extensively/publicly examine the good, bad and ugly!

As for the purported “jungle justice”, suffice it to note we do a gross INJUSTICE to real victims when we sweep these matters under the rug...
The thing about the PUBLIC space is that it allows ALL stakeholders (including the accused) the same PUBLIC forum to make their own case.

Nonetheless, the visibility of celebrity stories is important to spotlight these matters...why is it more important than fulani raping helpless women?
“More” important is you ascription not mine, and frankly betrays a misunderstanding of my post...

Rape and sexual assaults and harassment has always been RAMPANT in Nigeria, but has existed largely below the realm of prominent public discourse. That the story of a ‘celebrity’ (whatever that means in Nigeria) accords the subject matter the visibility and impetus needed to put it squarely in public spotlight is an important factor. Also important is the fact that there are some state governments (such as Lagos) that have created specialized units and courts to prosecute and adjudicate these matters (and even the Police now have sex crime officers). Meanwhile, people aggrieved at folks protesting against celebrity rape (alleged) should organize their own for matters they care about!

It won’t surprise me.

Nairalanders are really poor men’s children, obviously from rural areas.
See how many of them are awake by 04:30am.
I’m sure they woke up by 04:00am so they can head to the farm before sunrise.
It’s no wonder they always come in contact with snakes and other wild animals.
Only people who lie around all day looking for Yahoo and ritual opportunities would publicly mock people who they believe wake up early ready to engage in HARD WORK and HONEST labour. I weep for so many Nigerian “yoots”! SMH

EducationRe: LAUTECH Suspends Certificate Of Graduate Who Claimed A Lecturer Victimised Him by 9jaRealist: 5:57am On Jul 03, 2019
Okuda:
the university has a constitution and it says in part that you are to be reputable as an alumni and any action from you that is not becoming of a proper graduate of the university can warrant such measures. if you read their hsndbook it should be written somewhere there. besides not only did he misbehave but he also misbehaved in a way that brought the university to a disrepute. thats big and it is in proper accordance with his punishment. he should be lucky its not permanent. lol
I cannot claim to be privy to the university handbook, but it sounds like neither do you...

Generally, however, a university handbook regulates the conduct of the university community and would (or should) ordinarily not govern the personal conduct of graduates that have already left the university. What next? If the university council decides that it does not like the politics or perhaps the sexuality of a graduate, it can also withdraw her certificate?

Anyway, an academic certificate is NOT a private document, but a public one. Even though it is awarded by a university, it is based on public requirements (as prescribed by the ‘regulator’ - NUC in Nigeria), and is held out to the public as an official attestation that the holder has FULLY SATISFIED certain academic requirements at various levels of capabilities.

Like I said, let’s defer this matter to the law courts, but Nigerians shouldn’t just bend over and accept every fvckery from an authority. Cheers.

there is nothing the university did wrong. actually they are 100 % in the right to have given him such punishment. he is even lucky they did not permanently withdraw it.
They did everything right...
Until they withdrew his certificate.

He has already FULLY SATISFIED all of the requirements of the certificate.
But I suppose we would have to leave it to a court of law (not NL) to determine (if dude decides to sue).
