iuwe:He probably had no money to begin with... Who hasn’t heard or used that “I lost my wallet” line before? ![]() > |
Naija journalists na wa... It’s cost-REFLECTIVE (not cost-effective) tariffs. ![]() > |
Nbote:No INNOCENT person should be “targeted” (in fact, nobody at all should)... People don’t choose their families and should not pay for any misdeed (real or imagined) of others. > |
tyup:His stint in office ended on May 28... > |
DBlackCeazer:Except in the game against Japan, where they played cluelessly... They performed quite well and frankly should not had lost to Romania. But that’s football. > |
SmartyPants:He played in that tournament as well as in 2007... > |
freemanbubble:Are those 9 players the only ones at the tournament? What happened to the over 200 other players? Were they all age cheats?! > |
Budline1:No argument there... My only dispute with you is why you think she should not ask a purported friend for help? > |
diportivo:So, it’s potholes that cause dumbasses to park on the sidewalk? Okay o... ![]() > |
Newmans: ![]() Many Nigerians love to pull numbers from thin air - or worse, their backsides... Meanwhile, we cannot even lay the basic statistical foundation of properly counting ourselves. SMH > |
Favor99:I AGREE in general terms... On the other hand, if someone feels “offended” because someone else declines to date them, it is a sad commentary on their state of mind. > |
Budline1:Why not? If he’s forming like he’s a real friend, why not... ![]() > |
Elliot2:Merely reaffirming that misogynistic culture of entitlement... ![]() She did not have to give a reason (just he doesn’t have to not to help her out)... It’s enough for anyone (male or female) to simply decline to date someone else. > |
elgramz:No, he did not... Rather he engaged in the ignorant abuse of power that keeps Nigeria perpetually underdeveloped. There’s a remedy in CIVIL law for alleged defamation, and accordingly people (no matter how “powerful”) should never ABUSE the coercive power of the state or the criminal justice system to redress matters that the laws of the land have deemed as civil (not criminal) matters. > |
Newsblogger:Obviously she has mental issues... ![]() > |
Stillthebest:The motive for helping people should NEVER be so that they can remember you “helped” them... ![]() > |
P Favor99:I hope by “offended or insulted you” you are not referring to her declining to date him... ![]() > |
Elliot2:Nigerian men and the usual misogynistic culture of entitlement... So declining to date someone means “without any respect for his person”? Anyway, read my post again - it’s his money and he is NOT obligated to help (no issues with that)... Nonetheless, if the ONLY reason is because the person did not agree to date him, then he’s a REAL LOSER! > |
kinghopex:Sorry Bros, to be brutally honest and with all due respect... If you have to ask this question, you are probably a BIG LOSER! First, for the avoidance of any doubt, you do not have give or lend anyone your money. But if the ONLY (or even the primary) reason that you are reluctant to help out someone is because the person refused to date you in the past, then sorry you are a LOSER with a warped mentality. > |
baby124:Of course, they need her as a witness because the defendants have the constitutional RIGHT to confront witnesses against them, and the state cannot introduce her written statement (a witness account) without making her available for cross-examination. Since there were only three people in there, her evidence is absolutely CRUCIAL to proving that this was not just a sexual encounter but actually rape. Of course, any witness can be subpoenaed and every witness swears an oath to be truthful subject to the penalty of perjury, but you CANNOT force a witness to render any one particular account of events. Accordingly, as I previously noted, she has made the state’s job and burden infinitely MORE DIFFICULT (but not necessarily impossible). I hope they nail the bastards, but it won’t be easy! > |
baby124:But she has since subsequently sought to “withdraw” her complaint... Accordingly, she will likely be at best a reluctant, and at worst a “hostile”, witness. > |
CodeTemplar:Just after show us one of your mixed-race Chinese kids... ![]() Can you also show us the Governors of Adada State or Ijebu State? Or the Inspector-General of the Armed Forces of Lagos State? For the zillion things time, GENCOs are NOT gas producers, so how can anyone show you what you have been repeatedly told does not exist. Sorry to say, either you are playing thick or you simply are. SMDH > |
The girl or her family were probably paid or threatened... But as previously stated, her “withdrawal” will have NO legal effect, because it’s a criminal case. However, it might more be difficult to prosecute and secure a conviction when you her a non-cooperating witness/complainant who’s testimony is vital to proofing the allegations. > |
Triangles1:Are you trying to justify rape? ![]() > |
OriginalZombiE:I will not dignify the CHILDISH insult with a substantive response... It is evidence of a lack of a meritorious argument or a poor upbringing. Even believing the ISIS Mexican “story” (and ignoring it has only right-wing sources)... ISIS has inspired many domestic terrorists in the US, without need to use the Mexican (or any border). > |
gypsey:I’ll grant you that... ![]() But presumably the folks slapping him upside the head did. > |
Nowenuse:Thanks to NAFTA... Which Trump tried to revoke, and then was compelled by reality to renegotiate and rebrand. > |
OriginalZombiE:As EVERY US security agency (from the FBI onwards) have repeatedly reaffirmed, the greatest (and ever-growing) current terrorist threat in the US is DOMESTIC terrorism (principally, white supremacist groups). Building a useless vanity wall will NOT ameliorate that danger. BTW, none of the 9/11 terrorists, nor any terrorist attacker since then, came through the Mexican border. The Wall is merely a dog whistle! > |
ogbonti:You do understand how tariffs work, don’t you? Tariffs are a TAX on the consumer, so it only makes consumer goods from Mexico more expensive as well as US goods produced with Mexican components (such as US automobiles). Even Republicans in Congress kicked against Mexican tariffs and were set to vote it down - before Trump backed down and began touting an agreement agreed to last year (2018) as a “new” deal. > |
fikiman7000: 11doubledee:Even if Trump’s dumb Border Wall is to be built (and it likely would NEVER be), Mexico would NEVER pay directly or indirectly for it... There’s NO Wall funding in the so-called “immigration deal” with Mexico, and higher tariffs on Mexican imports hurt US businesses/consumers. > |
![]() NIGERIANS WILL BELIEVE ANYTHING ON THE INTERNET... Dotard Trump is NOT getting a Border Wall (not that I personally care)... Not least because Congress will NOT fund it and Mexico will definitely NOT pay for it. Even the funds The Dotard anticipated from his fake “emergency” declaration is tied up by litigation... I am not sure where these obviously 4.1.9 pics came, but these are likely repairs to existing barriers (NOT a new Wall). Wall ko, Balls ni! > |
CodeTemplar:Huh?! You now seem to be engaged in a desperate act of semantic sophistry... ![]() For the umpteenth time, I cannot SHOW you things that are NON-EXISTENT. To simplify that for you, I cannot ask you to show me your mixed-race Indian children if you tell me you don’t have any. Conversely, if you brag that you do, there should be no rational problem showing them. Got it? GENCOs are NOT gas producers. They are electric power generators. Therefore, even Eledumare CANNOT show you the NON-EXISTENT “gas facilities” of GENCOs. How exactly can this basic concept of reality be apparently so difficult to grasp? One of the reason, Dangote Cement switched to an energy mix of almost 50% coal-powered plant is the unavailability and unreliability of gas supplies. In fact, the Dangote Group has to build its own gas supply infrastructure (undersea pipelines, in this instance) for the Dangote Refinery and Petrochemicals/Fertilizer Complex project. As you may have guessed (but perhaps you still are clueless), this is an area that I can claim more than a fair degree of expertise. So, once again, please share SPECIFICALLY with us what “adequate structures” exist. > |
