50calibre: Bro trust me! I am pro black and anti-west like no man's business and I do get you point but thats not the issue with us. You have to admit that we as Africans are naturally violent so we must capitalize on any issue regardless of how irrelevant to perpetrate violence, you see it in politics, sports, even in schools so religion is not our problem, it is our predisposition to violence that is our problem.

Secondly you said the white man tells me our juju is bad? No I have witnessed first-hand the evil people perpetrate with evil, my uncle was killed by poison that was sent spiritually for him, I have seen personally juju people using their juju for evil, thieves use odeshi to steal and the disappear. Why can't they use that juju for the greater good? And yes I know some use it for good but majority use it for evil.

So lets no blame religion because even before the birth of religion in Africa violence have existed and even if there wasn't religion, we will still look for a reason to be violent.

Besides you mentioned India, are you aware that the Hindus and Muslims are fighting?
In China the tibetan buddists are setting themselves on fire because of the Chinese govt?

maclatunji: LMFSO! Old boy, you don dey kolo small-small.

We expect a rise in the level of the Atlantic Ocean on the Lagos coastline in a few days. Nothing as dramatic as that of New York and other parts of the United States though. Ahmadu Bello Way and adjoining streets on Victoria Island may be flooded. I think it is not a new thing but I don't think I can live in that area.

Politics › Re: Cameroon Did No Wrong Flooding Nigeria – FG Official by a1solution: 6:43pm On Oct 31, 2012
ignis: I wonder if it is the english of the minister that most people raining abuse on cameroonian and the minister don't understand or if the logic is too much for them to understand.
About two decades ago when the lagdo dam was constructed in cameroon, the cameroonian govt. warned the Nigeria goverment to construct a relief dam in case of any impoudment. The nigerian govt. refused to take heed to the warning. Now we are seeing the effect and people are blaming the cameroonians. Do u think if they are at fault, the nigerian govt. wouldn't have sued them long ago?
The fact is that assuming the excess water in Lagdo dam was not released, the dam would have completely collapsed by now, which would have been more catostrophic because all the water in the dam will be forced to flow out, which would have completely submerged the now slightly flooded areas.
Dont ask me how i know. I know this, because am a geologist.

If your husband locks his phone its a sign of respect to you. That means he loves you and doesnt want querel at home. At times u may be too demanding and he does not want you to see his transaction alert. For if he do you may ask of the money he intends using to settle some other pressing issue as man which you may not be aware of.

Kslib: Omo see money!! Our FG no get sense atall, after spending all those money on books, still our youths dont want to read.. Upon all the books,Our educational system is a total waste of precious time.. Why not use that same money to invest in a project that will engage the youths and make them use their talent instead of forcing them to read..
Abi na by force to read..
Na reading go make them happy for life..
Na reading go improve our economy and infrastructure..
Why not use the money to open a something like a science centre where raw practicals will be done,so that the youths can catch up with their mates all over the world technology wise..
When we dey busy dey read books, china dey busy dey do practicals/inventions that will move their country forward and help humanity..
Why not also open something like a medical research centre where various research can be carried out.. We are abundantly blessed with many plants/trees/herbs that can be used to produce many drugs for various diseases.. We can also export these drugs and make very hot huge money..
FG please the youths dont want to read, why not provide a suitable enviroment to move this country forward? The youths gat the talents and want to work, but you are bending their hands..
I DONT WANT TO BE ON MY DIEING BED REGRETTING WHY I NEVER USED THE TIME I SPENT READING TO DO SOMETHING THAT WILL IMPACT THE LIFE OF OTHERS POSITIVELY...
FG,abeg we no wan read...we wan work to heal the wounds of this country, and time is not on our side... Abi is it a crime to be a NIGERIAN..
As for me,i read only what is necessary and adds value to life.. Nobody will brainwash me into reading nonsense.. My brother life is too short...
I have no apology to render for any grammatical blunder found in this post..
Well said, we need technical schools even if it means bringing foreigners as tutors, is better than this one step forward two step back

Family › Re: How Much Is Too Much To Tell Your Partner? by a1solution: 7:56pm On Oct 30, 2012
chaircover: People have to be wise. Not everyone can deal with the truth and not everyone can deal with not being told the whole truth so you need to discern what & who to tell and what not to.

Having said that, things that you know that he/she is going to find out somehow anyday, then you have to tell your partner, things that you know will/can/are going to affect your future together, then you need to disclose it.

So if someone got their househelp pregnant when they were 16 and she had the baby or a lady had a botched abortion that damaged her reproductive organs, then this needs to be disclosed before the I do.

People however, have to be realistic in their expectations and to expect that a partner will have a past of some sort so some questions are not even worth asking.
you are correct
I am a staunch member of Nairaland and I've been contributing to vital topics since I joined. Though dis is my second account with Nairaland and I opened it about 5 months ago, but my first account was opened over 2 yrs ago. I've bn contributing with my 1st account.

My primary purpose for joining is to secure a job, no matter the salary involved, as long as it caters for my needs; bathing/laundry soaps, toothpaste, clothes, recharge card, food, shelter, cutting my hair, etc.
I've never been lucky getting any, despite all my efforts. I read and contribute to topics that talks about; how people got their jobs and when, and I got to understand that some of these guys that got these jobs through Nairaland, joined about a month, 2 or 3 months ago!

I have a degree from a university here in Nigeria, with a good result(C.G.P.A: 4.02, I.e second class, upper division). I have been looking for a job for the past 3 years and I have written some job tests and attended some interviews;but all to no avail.
NSITF was one of them! I made it through the test process and after the interview, I heard nothing.

Many attimes I ask myself, could it be that I don't have luck? Is life all about luck or could it be a spiritual manipulation by the enemies?
Nairalanders, I call on you all, especially those in better places, to save my soul(S.O.S)
Op, Visit www.nairaday.com they can help. When you sign up in the site drop your request they would help you. They have been helping thousands of people.
