The aggitation for feminism actually started after the second world war (as we all know, that war shaped the current world we living in), Most men volunteered to go to the battle field in bid to defend their country and the women had to be hired to take the men's place in the factory and other occupation hence, making them breadwinner; it was such an eye opener for them to realize "oh, so I can actually work and earn like a man and still hold down the home front; let's get only their semen and make babies, I'm better off on my own and men are not any better than I am because, am a breadwinner too"
