@A-40

I simply chose to ignore Sauron since it's obvious he's clowning . . . how can someone who ain't joking compare 50 Cent and 2pac in terms of popularityhuh You're right on the Bob Marley/Michael Jackson/Beatles analogy . . . comparing 50 Cent to 2pac going by popularity is worse than comparing Jim Iyke with Denzel Washington.

Go to Botswana and mention 50 Cent . . . they'll most prolly think you're talking about currency . . . I wonder why I don't get to see Sauron's posts in the Jokes Section . . .  grin
Lol me i can't ignore this one!! if every genre where asked to pick an icon i mean just one person to represent what their music genre stands for 2Pac would definitely represent rap this is someone that died almost 13 years ago and is still relevant in today's discourse if Fiddy was killed tomorrow nobody would be talking about him on Friday trust me never mind 13 years time

Besides, 8 mile soundtrack has one of the best rhyme structures Eminem has ever spewed.
Tracks like 'Lose Yourself', 'Love U', 'Run Rabbit Run' and '8 Mile Road'.
Eminem Show was arguably Eminem's best album he ran outta gas after that!! songs like Drips,Cleaning out my closet,White America,Square Dance,Soldier,Say what you say,My Dad's gone Crazy,When the music stops i don't think there where too many tracks you could skip on that album

The track is just so-so it would be popular since its Eminem but not necessarily good
Every known rapper has paid respects to Pac and Biggie. No big deal there.
What makes Biggie more monumental was the fact that he became the King of NY with one album.
That was the same year Warren G, Dre/Snoop and Nas came out with their joints and Biggie Smalls just blew all of em outta the water.
Its a sign of his greatness he is rap's version of Elvis only more talented.I love Biggie to death but i don't think becoming the King of NY after his first album necessarily makes him at par with 2Pac i still rate 2Pac slightly higher because he simply had more material

I happen to think this might be bad for the lakers. Integrating a major player 2 games into the playoffs who hasn't played in months has in the past proven to mess up team chemistry and balance and has sometimes been fatal. We'll see.
Try telling that to Phil Jackson he says they lost because they where not big and strong enough he would integrate Bynum by force and by fire
Interesting debate. . . . . . .

All i can say is. . . .2Pac is overrated!!!
His posthumous albums helped him in many ways than 2pac himself woulda expected.
No one is saying 2Pac ain't legendary but i think he gets more credits than he deserves(I'm being honest here).

@ A-40,

Kanye is a mediocre rapper. . . . .I don't care if he's a ladies man or not but he is extremely overrated.
His lyrics are synonymous to a kid in the 4th grade. He can be catchy when he wants to be but after 'College Dropout' he has been wack.
Eldee like the pop and the mild stylez Kanye deploys in his records but that does not wash with me.
Naah i don't think 2pac is over-rated his subject matter is just so damned varied one minute he is rapping about riding on his enemies and the next he is talking about single parents before you hit the rewind button he is talking about social injustice and stuff he was the complete rapper who kept it real throughout he didn't spit the abstract shit most so-called lyricists rap about he lived what he spat compared to 99% of rappers that ever flowed on a mic

As for Kanye he is good i won't call him mediocre when people like 50Cent are still around lol but yeah he is over-rated i agree with that intoto
Music/Radio › Re: Which Artistes Are Overrated? by A40(m): 10:52pm On Apr 07, 2009
This is armaggedon bloody hell what is going on here?

eldee:
Now you're doing a Jackal over one word?? Jocking/Checking . . . release 'em straws bruv tongue tongue
What superlative have I used on him?? Most creative?? He shows improvement?? He's brave?? Dude . . .

He made his hit's with samples . . . so that's why he should hang on the cross upside-down??
It's called SIGNATURE STYLE!!! If sampling has given us great songs like Ether, Mo MoneyMo Problems, even Jay-Z's latest single . . .
Sampling is what he does . . . if he keeps dropping hits, then it's okay with me, and the Grammys too tongue

Personally, I think he's an overrated rapper too . . . but a much too underrated artiste
You coined the song "Homecoming" a metaphorical masterpiece,Creativity at its best come on bruv i don't even have the time to start bringing out others but Good grief  huh huh

Now lets talk about samples because it seems the page that defines originality in your dictionary has been torn off and used to wrap the LaLa you have been puffing on are you sure you are not Kanye's lawyer?
How can someone's signature style be sampling? haba how low would you lower your standards to defend Kanye? he has practically made a career out of sampling old tunes and believe it or not that would be his legacy unlike true greats like Tupac and B.I.G its one thing when you have one or two songs that sample old tunes in your album and its another thing when 3 out of 4 of your hit tracks on an album (Late Registration) are sampled

Creativity and Originality are like siamese twins you can't separate them without having complications

PS: Don't get it twisted i love Kanye probably more than you sef but overall he is kinda over-rated

eldee:
A-40 tried to question Kanye's creativity, that's why I went all out on him . . . you attacked consistency, I went on to prove how flawed your argument was . . . Ibime's thinks Kanye's wack because he speaks plain English . . . that's exactly what I like about him, so no qualms.
Don't take yourself too seriously!! your defence for Kanye was not good enough

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only by A40(m): 10:18pm On Apr 07, 2009
Adebayor and Cesc really have mad chemistry Debosky i don't know what you would say now about Ade he has really proved all that have doubted him wrong.I have to give it to the boys though we pulled a result out of the fire and we are finally starting to play with heart going one goal down early and losing two players early would have been enough to rattle any team but not this Arsenal and as much as this tie is not done and dusted yet i am hard pressed to see how Villareal would survive the armoury at the Emiraati!! The only sore point is we now have yellow card trouble and all three cards where unnecessary so Fab,Nasri and Ade are kinda walking a tight rope for the Semi's if we make it there  undecided undecided

The rules now are nothing but a joke. Imagine scoring more points does not give you the title but winning more races will. i.e If you win say 5 GPs then you are likely to take the title even if someone else has more points than you. me think that is strange.

The BM car's diffuser as I understand is illegally creating downforce and you know what that means. A hearing on that is due in Paris this month.
Its crazy and ironically those rules may favor Hamilton because i am sure the FIA wants to avoid last year's debacle but the rule makes no sense they might as well stop using points and strictly use races won

Yeah it gives the car more thrust apparently

This match should go Utd's way the key for Porto is keeping the score down and getting an away goal
