Beware of distractions, Nigerians! Stop listening to wastrels lavishing our money over there! They impress nobody by their action or inaction. Simply, no retreat, no surrender! The NLC and others should just go ahead with their planned strike. Then, provided there are clear, positive and meaniogful moves by Jonathan himself to end the crisis or by some scrupulous elements anywhere in the world who are capable of making him reason, as a complete human, along with the masses, it is up to them to speak the people's minds. We ought to let them know the ruled are far wiser than the ruler(s) (it is just a matter of fate). Our oppressors must not be left having a rest at all! |

Pooh! Real accursed exploiters! Nigerians, you mustn't forget that they're neocolonial masters, the children and grandchildren of our original colonial masters who laid the foundation of today's Nigeria's ills. |
We've known them for long. We can correctly guess their next line of actions. They're all brothers and sisters on a journey of no good end. Anyhow, birds of a feather flock together. |
Don't mind them, they're part and parcel of the corrupt system. Where're they when the rat acted unilaterally? Look at the sizes of their cheeks so that you'd apprehend my message better! |
Sad, indeed! A leopard cannot change its spots. Just be patient! I salute your gallantry and resilience. Jonathan and the other rats are going to pay a very costly price for these extrajudicial killings of theirs, as heavily paid by the likes of them in the near past. Monday is fast-approaching; Eagle Square must be our number one target. Let his boys block (all) the road(s) leading to the square! He who hesitates is lost. The will and wishes of the masses will reign at long last. He who laughs last laughs longest. |
Oh, I think so! I pity a helpless man-made Nigeria and innocent Nigerians who have been coerced into receiving the most unwanted and bitterest eternal dividends of democracy on the occasion of their D-Day mass burial. The Great Grand Chief Commander, Jonathan, on one side, is set for the worst and the underrated Boko Haram, on the other side, has sworn to try their hardest and issued a three-day ultimatum to Christians currently residing in the North just for them to quit before the battle line is drawn. Whilst all this is on, a rich diversity of protests are being staged all over the land owing to the fuel subsidy recently removed by Mr President in his unilateral decision. Considering all these factors, what does it really mean, my fellow Nigerians? Is this not how it started like a play in this very nation of ours in 1966/1967? Having carefully studied a similar historical precedent and learnt from the great lessons of antecedent events which have always been the bane of our socio-political and economic life, I feel this must be a prelude to what is far greater than what we can see today, even though millions may not comprehend it. The possible continued massacre of innocent Christians by Boko Haram on one hand, and of innocent Muslims by the purported Nigerian troops on the other hand, will surely cause chaos of unimaginable degrees. What an imminent civil war! |
Serious awareness programmes are still on in my area; people are just keenly warming up. Keep on! |
Is it certainly from the mouth of such a looter as Fani-Kayode? Does he think Nigerians have forgotten about his own fraud perpetrated while he's a minister? Let him and the likes of him enjoy for a while! The masses quite know their targets! The problem on the ground is more than Jonathan, Okonjo-Iweala and even Fani-Kayode himself. It'll be wise of us, Nigerians, to tackle the problem once and for all only if we don't want the same thing to be repeating itself again and again. |
Do you mean stockpiling food items or what? If yes, where's the money to get them in large quantities? The masses ought not to be subjected to more hardship. Let's pencil down our strategic places; common people must be carried along; the oppressed just have to contribute their quota. We've learnt a lot from Tunisia, Egypt, Libya and Yemen. We're still gaining intellectually from the happenings in Syria. Now, let's map out some strategies that suit our own state of affairs. The battle should be taken to each member of their immediate families and their beneficiaries within our reach. They should be made to taste part of what we've been forced to be chewing. Each culprit just has to face the wrath of the masses! It's high time we put paid to our cowardice; no one's out there willing and ready to fight for us; let's do shoulder the responsibity so as to create a new Nigeria that will be conducive for living. Only those who have more than essential resources and fear death will stay behind! |
I think Jonathan or his advisers can see all these riots across the nation? Let him do the right thing at the right time as things are getting worse. |
Correct! We've started doing so in my very area. What of you in your own place there? Or, you just can't afford to do that. Sorry! |
Just #250.00 per litre! It's not too bad! When it gets too much, each mature member of the public will make a decisive move. We know what we should do. We can still exercise some more patience. Let us continue! |
Do I still hope the man remains in the midst of those anti-people and evil elements with his head straight and his thoughts undiluted? Anyway, only the foolish or the senseless will subscribe to the saying, 'If you can't beat them, join them.' Rather, 'If you can't beat them, pull out' will be Okay! |
I think the word 'standard' is relative. So, if some people consider my use of the word 'outstanding' in that context offensive, let them replace it with the most appropriate word they know. We have but little of knowledge! |
Should that be the Will of our Creator, who or what can prevent it from coming to a reality? It was by His Power, in the first instance, that today's unity could be created out of diversity. And if Nigeria breaks up, we will still be needing one another's assistance and co-operation in many respects as long as we are neighbours. Let me ask you all a simple question. Do you know or can you guess the tribe that will 'enjoy' most and the one will 'suffer' most? I hope you will not be deceived by the presence of certain mineral resources in certain areas. Nobody knows! Only the Creator knows best! |
We are in serious problem in Nigeria. Many things are wrong. Who is 'clean' among them? Sorry, 99.9% of the members of the three arms of Nigerian government are dirty! Well, perhaps, the remaining 0.1% that represents the 'clean' ones can be traced to a small number of fearless men and women in the judiciary. If they are truly in need of funds for certain projects, let them source for them (funds) through another means somewhere else. Each of them knows what he/she has in his/her bank account(s) of our money while many Nigerian graduates like me are roaming about in the streets, and cannot afford a square meal a day, let alone three. Lastly, I think it will be appropriate for those who have quenched their thirst with more than enough water to let the thirsty left behind drink of the remaining little water, only if they are not looking for trouble. Sincerely speaking, most Nigerians are feeling hungry! |
Mankind! Are we still in doubt of the fact that some highly-placed Nigerians are real foes of the ordinary Nigerian populace? They are part of some 'good' African puppets, like their Asian counterparts, being used by the western chauvinists, neocolonial masters and capitalists whose sole aim is to thwart people and exploit what does not belong to them at the expense of the bona fide owner(s) across the globe. Indeed, they inflict untold hardship on the masses through their harsh polices. Can you still vividly recollect all those conditionalities that came along with SAP when it was smartly imported in the second half of 1980s? Can you as well recall the extent of the self-imposed austerity at that time whose traces can still be found today? There is suitable time for everything! All necessary measures must be put in place by any reasonable government before any people-oriented policy, programme or whatever can be successfully implemented. I remain. |
What can we see happening on the soil of Nigeria now? I think we are not sleeping. Let us wait for the aftermath of the move! |
Well, as a point of correction to those who are yet to be able to differentiate between a multi-religious state and a secular state, or who mistake one for the other, the word 'secularism' is not applicable to Nigeria as a country. As to the issue of Unclothedness, half-unclothedness, pornographic articles of clothing, crazy styles or whatever, all in the name of so-called freedom, the major problem is that most of us have been wining and dining with Satan for quite a long time and cannot even distinguish good from bad any longer. What a shame! Above all, whilst I will never support any individual, group or government beating, maltreating, harassing or terrorising 'innocent' people, I will be the last person to sympathise with the bastards, satanic forces and their allies that wittingly promote demonic standards to the detriment of our own outstanding moral and cultural values. |
Ah, Mr President's sweetheart! Be gentle, you guys! Is it an established fact that the Nigeria's number one citizen's spouse can't express herself in simple British English? Supposing that the reply is in the affirmative, I do have a piece of advice for her before it's too late. The point is that, albeit a sound command or mastery of standard and correct English isn't a prerequisite for her being the 'First Lady' (as Nigerians didn't ever vote for her), she should employ the service(s) of a seasoned English tutor, given all the resources at her disposal. Otherwise, let her restrict her series of terrible grammatical blunders to the corners of her husband's sitting-room. Or, is it a must for her to go out making public speeches or addresses? Lastly, let her realise that the best Nigerian Heads of State Nigerians have ever seen didn't rule the country with their own 'First Ladies' parading themselves and showing off empty-headed. |
Amusement, indeed! The Almighty knows best how Jonathan managed to 'win' the election with all the requirements met. He, the Exalted, also knows who is the best to rule Nigeria. Besides, He, the All-Knowing, is the Best of Judges. He perfectly calculates everything and knows what will be the end of all this impasse. Let us all wait and see! |
Just be looking on! Leave our leaders! Leave our security operatives! They quite grasp what's happening in the country. How many facts have you found? Many are still coming up. Just be patient! With time, all the hidden will be exposed and no power will be able to cover already leaked-out secrets! |
Nigeria! Nigerians! Rulers and the ruled! I'm sorry if I offend anybody in any way by my opinion. I'm 99.9% sure that Nigeria has lost her glory, which may never be regained. Whoever thinks or argues that a particular political party, a certain political system or a specific form of government designed by (a) human(s) is a permanent panacea for our imbroglio in Nigeria should find time to learn beyond what he/she has been indoctrinated with from an early age. Some great personalities, whose appellations are worth mentioning today, have once lived on the Nigerian soil and left not a single tangible asset nor a huge bank account. During their time, the gap between the leaders and the followers wasn't as wide as it's today. Look at what our so-called leaders today possess of ill-gotten wealth! Take a look at how they're tactically succeeded or how their offspring are systematically planted in key political posts! Ponder over how these unscrupulous elements in the society take advantage of the abject poverty and its consequent misery being experienced by tens of thousands of young idle graduates like me and use them to perpetrate evils. Still, we, youths, do hail them on social occasions. We're always trying to imitate them in their manner of thinking as to the issue of the 'National Cake'. Most of us are more corrupt, worse and more devilish than today's rulers we're talking about. They've almost ruined our lives in that they've failed to pass to us some priceless values and orientation we're supposed to have. And this failure reflects in our attitudes, reactions and disposition day in, day out. We lack focus and objectivity as we're only governed by our whims, tribal sentiment, unnecessary religious hatred and polical bigotry. In case all these sorts of mental disorder persist, forget about one Nigeria, let alone any bright future for Nigeria.

|
Typical Nigerians! It is high time we put paid to a fallacy of hasty generalisation. Beware of senseless and uncalled-for naming! |
Let us mind our utterances as the game is yet to be over! Are we yet to realise a bitter fact that there is a state in a state as far as our state in Nigeria is concerned? |
