Goodmorning, my fellow Warriors and viewers of this thread. My madam Idowuogbo, I dey throway salute. My AS/AS intending partners, please reconsider your stance. Break-ups are never easy, but it is easier than living with the memory that you could have saved your child the trauma. Shalom. |
Before we get married, everyone will keep yapping about doing HIV test and other tests to be sure. So what difference does a DNA test make? If you didn't trust me enough to have s,ex with me without knowing my HIV status, why in heavens name should I trust you enough not to do DNA test for my kids? |
And that https://www.nairaland.com/911277/sickle-cell-remedy
@deco_slim, why don't you also go through this other thread www.nairaland.com/583986/good-news-permanent-cure-sickle/1 I believe what you are really looking for is a drug that can permanently cure you of SCD. To that, I wish you goodluck and also advice you to be careful of people who will "take advantage of you" and rip you off financially. I have heard of Solamin, but only on the internet. The day I came across the name CELLOD-S, I was able to gather enough info from NL. I made a few calls and was able to talk to the director himself, who gave me more info. Please let us all be careful of those who will want to take undue advantage of us, all in the name of helping us CURE SCD. Note: Am not saying that the drug Solamin does not work. All am saying is that if the drug is as good as they say it is, give us enough info (free of charge) on how to get it and let us make our own research. After all A GOOD PRODUCT MARKETS ITSELF. |
6 capsule is so much o... Okay...does the cellod s clear the eyes to become white Becos I most care for my eyes...I hate it being yellow... I can't even look at someone directly eye to eye... I feel so**************"they're better**** That's Y am on *dbanj dark shades* ***just getting home***
You are worrying yourself too much. |
Thanks Abali... I would try taking the folic and bcomplex regular... That's my best option for now
Deco, I was once like you. I went 3years or more, without being hospitalized (that was after I was mis-diagnosed AA). I " forgot" everything I have learnt about SCD. Then my last crisis happened. I was taken to the hospital after a bout of food poisening episode. The doctor ordered a test to be run, when the result came back he told me I was going in for transfusion. I vehemently refused (cos I had vowed never to be transfused again). He told me that transfusion was necessary cos my blood level was too low (15%) for him to commence treatment ( as at that time, I felt that I was the most HEALTHY person to have walked the earth). I still refused transfusion. Then he said I should go home and build my RBC (of course that will take 3 months), then I can come back for treatment. I was already heading out of the hospital, before my mums call came in. She pleaded with me, and because of that mother-son bond I finally agreed to be transfused. It was after that crisis episode that I started reflecting on my life and my sometimes STUPID ego, when it comes to my health. |
I don't use yellow eyes to think I have fiver or a crisis, as they are always yellow...
@deco_slim, I was like you once. If you ask me to guess, I will say that you are not even taking the Folic Acid and B complex serious. I dared Fate. I did those things that I was told not to do, but I also have the Grace of God by my side. If you must rely on Folic Acid and B complex, take it daily. Morning and Night, do not miss it. Moreover you have to feed well. @Idowuogbo, I believe Deco will get there. He is yet to fully appreciate the nature of SCD. Or he may stilll be in denial. |
professor Olu Akninyaju is the Chairman of Sickle Cell Foundation, Nigeria. It is there on the website |
Amynamerica: Yes, its because of the Iron (Ferous) content. My mom was educated quite early about the dangers associated with iron supplements like chemiron. She was told it contributed to the distended abdomen which some SCD sufferers have. Multi vitamins capsules is okay.Okay, I get it. I was also warned about taking blood tablets that contains Iron. Thanks for enlightening us. |
Amynamerica: Please please please, I noticed this has not been mentioned, never take blood capsules or medicines cos they'll damage the liver. Please elaborate more. Is it because of the Iron content or what? Though I always try not to buy blood capsules that contains Iron. |
Billyonaire: My friend, Akwa Ibom State is rich enough to buy a private jet for her Governor, Stop this ranting.Rich enough my a,ss. So private jet for the state is now the next priority item or the basic amenity the state needs. |
lepasharon: @ abali thanks 4 this thread. And who says you can't gain weight? Haven't you gone through the thread? Even one of the Warriors was complaining of fear of over weight. Sharon Focus on eating healthy and before you know it, you will want to start watching your weight. One of the reasons am slim is because, my feeding pattern is erratic and moreover I see eating food as a boring activity (it's been like that ever since I was small). Am eating and reading Novel or browsing or doing some other thing, except focusing on my meal. ![]() About the drug, visit this website ormedsupremeoption.com/ You may wish to talk to the director his number is listed on the site, I believe it's the first number listed under distributors. |
I will like us to talk about those foods and fruits we have been taking to help us keep fit and stay healthy. Or the ones you heard of. Here is my list of foods: Vegetable; either in soup form or when it is squized and you drink the water or using it to do stew. Beans (I don't particularly like it, but I prefare eating it with rice). Fiofio (pigeon pea) Actually I used to eat it while in the boarding house, without knowing that it was good for my health. But recently I came across an article that says that it is suspected to be an anti sickling agent and that it contains essential Amino Acids necessary for the production of RBC. I now take it with rice. Cucumber, banana, garden egg etc. But am too lazy to strictly adhere to these healthy diets. (Maybe my wife, when she comes will do a better job than my mum). |
Ajlolly: I am a victim of wrong diagnosis, b4 I got married in 2009 my hubsand&I went 2 check my genotype in 2 diff labs & i was given AA& my hubby AS.I didn't know I was AS until I was 4months pregnant wen I went 4 antenatal, we went back 2 d 2 labs where we were initially given AA&did it again and was given AS. Wen we show dem d result of d 1st test dey were jst begging us, so we resigned to faith couple wit d explanation my doc gave me dat it 1 out of 4 children dat 'll be ss not knowing dat its one over four of every pregnancy, I had my son in 2010 & unfortunately he has scd. Initially he has crisis almost every week and was place on hydroxyria by an heamotologist.Thks God he has been doing fine since den, he is 2yrs old now&very healthy. He doesn't look like someone living with scd.Your son will grow up to be healthy. As he is still young, you the mother has to do all the thinking for him as is you were a SS. The heamotologists should be in a better position to advice you. His Folic Acid should be as regular as a clock work. You may visit the site Blink provided and get the directors number. Please speak to him and also listen to your heamotologist before administering any medication to him. Even if it's Cellod-S. Yes, I have been spreading good news about the drug Cellod-S, but in your case...you son is still young to coherently explain how his system works. And it will do you a world of good to cultivate the habit of reading any literature remotely related to SCD. Goodluck. |
patrick2: Can one have an idea of the everage cost of this Cellod-S in niara value? Is the cost avoidable. Past users should please assist before contacting the distributors. It's not more than 5000 or there about, for 150 capsulses. To me it's cheap, considering that you can use it for more than a month before it finishes. |
ACM10: Thanks for inviting me to make a contribution. No wonder my doctor will be pressing my stomach asking me whether am feeling any pains. I will say, No and the man will be looking at me in a funny way. Thanks Doc. (ACM10) |
What are the percentage chances of finding the right donor for a bone marrow transplant?
It is hard to find a person whose bone marrow matches your own. And when found, the person has to be WILLING TO DONATE. Do you really want to take that option? |
patrick2: As a preventive measure, which is a better option? To avoid the marriage of incompatible couples in the first instance or to get involved in constant abortion during marriage in order to avoid giving birth to SCA child. Your comments please everyone in the house. Please avoid marriage. AS/AS couples should avoid marrying each other, this has nothing to do with sentiments. But if you guys are already married, then pray that FATE doesn't visit you with a SS. |
ACM10: Please visit a hospital. Whoever told you that you had staphylococcus aureus must be a charlatan.Oga ACM10, please we need your input on my thread. It's about big tummy/ spleen stuff. Thanks |
Let someone close this trend joor,,, When I saw it on d frontpage of naira land... It just reminds me that am a carrier... And I hate it....
The thread is to help create awareness and stop the misconception and mis-information about SCD. Moreover some Love birds (AKA AS/AS couples) are planning to go ahead and dare FATE. And when that shi..t hits the fan, MFM, CHOOSEN, DEPER LIFE will have more people awaiting MIRACLES. Sorry, I didn't include SYNAGOGUE. |
