After going through all samsung phones, i finally selected the M21 because the price beats the rest and is still competitive in the quality and specs.

But the problem now is that i'm not sure if i can get it from a nigerian phone shop, i don't want to make orders online just to be on the safer side.

So does anyone have an idea of a phone shop i can go to purchase it or if you are a dealer kindly signify below with pictures of it just to be sure

The galaxy m series is not released for the nigerian market. Unless u ship from abroad. Look for A series within ur budget and buy.

I use this same phone and its updated to android 10. I just got a 3mb update that i haven't install today. So i don't understand what some people are saying oooo.

Nairaland phone section has turned to a joke. Xiaomi users will open thread about Trassion phones not getting update or being faulty, then another Xiaomi user will reply saying 'Buy Xiaomi". Then Trassion users also open threads doing same about Xiaomi phones. Well thank God that at least one actual user of the Note 5 Stylus has posted his phone getting android 10.

Its no news that Xiaomi make better phones than Trassion but their users here are so toxic and insecure that they just can't live without mentioning Trassion in all their posts.

How can you compare Mi 11 to S21 ultra

U do know the mi 11 ultra can stand toe to toe with s21 ultra right? Choosing anyone between these 2 is a matter of personal preference. Mi 21 ultra charges from 0-100 in 36 mins. No samsung phone can charge from 0-100 even in 1 hr. Not even the s21 ultra.

Some people just like to beef foreign companies for just no reason. Their mentality is like 'Na our country, u can't come to our country and make money'. Its very silly. Yet there are millions of Nigerians making money in other countries. They will beef MTN, beef DSTV. Ok let a Nigerian company come and do a better job na problem. MTN is a legitimate company doing legit business in Nigeria and other parts of Africa. In fact the only Nigerian telco company in Nigeria have the worst service. Now just imagine if that company is South African owned.

And mtn is the only company that laid off some workers? Allover the world many companies laid off workers due to the pandemic. Mtn even paid their workers off. U people should stop this stewpid mentality of 'they are milking nigerians' and accept the fact that mtn is a business organization just like every other businesses regardless of their country or origin. There are several foreign countries in nigeria and there are nigerian owned companies in other parts of the world too.

Samsung galaxy a70, 2 yrs old. Android 9 out of the box and has received android 10 and now android 11. No root, no side loading.

Then it's not normal. Are u using the charger that came with the phone? If ur answer is no then u are probably using a charger with higher wattage than the phone is designed to. But if u are using the charger that came with the phone and still doing like that then it's not normal. Stop suffering and smiling. If the phone is still under warranty then send it back in for them to fix it or get a replacement. U paid for the phone and should be able to use it normally while charging.

Search youtube for xiaomi ghost touch issues. There are many videos with walk round on the issue because it is common. Maybe u can get a solution.

I'm telling u. What is so advanced in a xiaomi redmi. It's pathetic. They make good pocket friendly phones no doubt, but many of their users are so annoying such that whenever they hold those phones they feel like they are holding a rare gem. Silly.

Meanwhile the redmi note 9 has a really bad display. It's a common issue.

Meanwhile the problem op is having looks like ghost touch issues which is common in xiaomi phones (but I'm not surprised that some xiaomi fans think it's an advanced feature). There are many videos on YouTube about possible solutions to the issue.

You can reduce it in the settings , I'm sure you will get use to it along the line

Why are xiaomi users always like this? Whenever anyone brings a complain about any xiaomi phone u guys are quick to attack and try to bring in trassion. U guys need to take a chill pill and stop acting like xiaomi phones are flawless, it's getting annoying. So if I buy a xiaomi phone and it's faulty then I'm an amateur that hasn't used an advanced phone before. Like really? What's so advanced in ur redmi phones (most xiaomi users on nairaland use redmi and not Mi).

Op's phone might be faulty or have a factory defect. That can happen to any phone, I mean not even samsung flagship phones or iphones are immune to defects let alone xiaomi.

I use to be a huge LG fan but I would advice against buying this one. Lg sucks at pushing updates. I have an lg v20 that I've been using for over 3 years, great rugged phone. Had android 7 when I bought it and took forever to get updated to android it and that was it. Has been stuck with android 8 forever and no further software updates or support for that phone. Moreover the parts are not readily available and I don't think they still have customer support in nigeria.

The Samsung a70 I have been using for the past 2 yrs though have got numerous software updates. Bought it with android 9 and oneui 2.0 on board. Already updated to android 11 and oneui 3.1 over the air. Also the battery on lg g8 sucks.

The reasons incubent always win is because they have the power. But that's not only the reason. Another reason is when a huge chunk of the population think their vote won't count and hence don't go out to vote. Meanwhile the incubent have the power and money to mobilize their loyal supporters to go out and vote. So easy win.

Wrong. Votes do count if people come out en masse to vote. If votes don't count then pdp would have still been in govt by now. But people were tired of pdp and they came out en masse to vote then out, voting buhari in. It's not easy to vote out an incubent govt but it happened in 2015.

So they tolled roads, without good alternatives? When you lie check your back. Tolled roads are for you to get to places faster, not the major road. I have lived in Houston and Sam Houston circuit goes round the city. But there are Very GOOD alternatives.

And I have never lived outside the country, be deceiving urself. You can't just sit behind ur computer or phone and be calling everyone a liar, what is wrong with some people? There are tolled roads on many highways in many western countries. Yes there are alternatives but they are longer routes. In many cases on interstate highways there are no alternatives. When I say in some countries I don't mean just the US, like is the US the only alternate country?

for intra state yes there are guaranteed alternatives which we can also see in some parts of Lagos. You don't want to pay the toll on airport road, take the Oshodi - airport route. You don't want to pay the Lekki toll? There are alternatives.

In sane countries they have tolls on their highways. Nigerians go to these countries and pay the tolls but when they come back home they will complain about tolls and still expect Nigeria to be as good as those countries. If the government can fix the roads, and then give the maintenance of these roads to private companies to manage who in turn collect tolls, then its a welcomed development. Govt alone cannot fix everything.

Bro, I'm pretty sure I stream more than u do. I've already used 53gb this month and this month is one or those months that I don't use enough data normally it's around 80-90gb a month. There is no way streaming is more enjoyable than cable. Hd contents use a lot of data and watching in low res hurts my eyes. Can't stand it. Hesgoal, live football TV, etc I have them all. I don't even need to connect with hdmi as I can mirror my phone to tv, once it's conexted to tv the the quality becomes poor especially for all these illegal free streaming apps. They are not just stable enough. Youtube, Netflix, showmax and other paid services on the other hand are very stable as they have very strong and stable servers but are not free. And u can't just be streaming stuff all day and be economical. So u just stream cartoon for ur kids on weekends and leave them to watch for several hours without hurting ur pocket in data? Untill we have stable, reliable and cheap internet cable is still cheaper and better than streaming. You can stream to watch ur favorite shows but it's not something u can do all day.

You need internet. If you are in Lagos, there are many ISPs providing unlimited internet - use till you tire. I use between 400gig to 700gig a month and I pay 10,800 naira. It is fibre connection.

There was a time I was trying to get fibre for someone and all the isps in Lagos said they don't have service in the area. And this is around iju ishaga oo. The only one that have service said their speed is capped at 2mbps which is a no no. Most of the good ones only have service in ikeja and the islands, unless u want to use mtn which is too expensive and they don't even do unlimited. Ntel do unlimited but too expensive ad unrealiable. Imagine paying around 20k a month for a speed of 512kbps-1mbps. Its pathetic.

I don't think Nigeria is ready for iptv yet until we have good internet readily available at 80% of locations

With less than 400 mb, I watch full match directly from the internet. All you need is good ntwk. I stream live matches from hesgoal, epicsport, Burma TV, live football TV etc. You'll watch 3 matches with 1 gig

But not in HD. U will be watching at 240p or less. Manageable if ur watching with ur phone but becomes unbearable when watching on big screen like TV.

IPTV is really giving DSTV run of their life, The truth is that the world has gone digital , even if DSTV slash to 2k naira on premium package it cannot be compare to numerous entertaining channel on an Internet Protocol Cable TV.

Tell them. They will be screaming iptv as if it is free to stream. First u need a reliable fast internet and then u need lots of data. Anything other than unlimited is a no no for IPTV and we know how much unlimited costs in this country. On top of that speed is not even encouraging.
