oseo1:Not anymore bro... Maybe in the past. U must be way behind time. Lets do a little comparison with mid size sedans. 2014 Hyundai sonata: msrp $21,500- $28,550 2014 toyota Camry: msrp $22,400 - $30,700 2014 Volkswagen passat: msrp $22,000 - $34,000 2014 Honda accord: msrp $$22,000 - $33,500. You can see the prices are pretty close for cars in the same class. Also resale value of hyundai are pretty decent, go check used hyundai cars and see the % depreciation is not bad. The only cars that have better resale value are toyota and Honda and that is because they have a good history of reliability. Hyundai have stepped up in recent years and sooner or later they will be on the same level. Similarly if u compare compact crossover cuv 2014 hyundai Tucson/ix35: msrp $21,500 - $28,900 2014 toyota rav 4: msrp $23,500 - $29,700 2014 honda crv : msrp $23,000 - $29,000 2014 ford escape: msrp $23,000 - $30,800 2014 mazda cx-5 msrp: $21,400 - $29,000 Again these are cars in the same class and prices are similar. So I wonder what makes u think hyundai cars are cheap. |
SaintNdi:Does salami and MBA play the same wing? |
I swear emenike na mumu. Time to take him off and people should stop thinking he is automatic selection. |
Havilah93:Eme whaat? That guy is overrated, no footballing brain at all. Had a good afcon and suddenly everybody things he's god |
IYANGBALI:Ur English is bad omen |
This is real. I was a little skeptical but I decided to try with 500 naira airtime, I mean what is there to lose. Anyway, I tried with 500 and within 1 minute I got my data. This is real guys. |
ramdris:Are u serious or u are just joking. Puff puff and doughnut which one is better? Lexus rx is an upgraded highlander so how can the highlander be better? If u think it is because of the fuel economy I can tell u the difference is negligible. |
Not much difference, the X6 has a much more sportier and unique look. The X5 is roomier. Both rides are targeted at different people. If u are a family man and carry a lot of luggage, X5 would be a better choice. If u want a more sportier ride then X6 is the way to go. |
shockwave91:No be quarrel bro, as a Nigerian I want my fellow Nigerians to succeed, but when we do things the wrong way and get penalized, we all jump on the common bandwagon and call it 'RACISM'. These are words from the Aye Dee, the man behind the fall of Linda's blog Mukhtar Dan’Iyan, the Editor-in-Chief of US-based The 15 Past Eight Media Group, said he merely spoke up after the blog used his tweets about developments in the war against the Boko Haram insurgency without his permission. “I spoke up about the unauthorised use of my intellectual property that was taken from my TL (time line),” Mr. Dan’Iyan, who tweets via @MrAyeDee, told PREMIUM TIMES in an interview, Wednesday. “(I) filed a formal DMCA complaint to Google which hosted her site. “One complaint is not enough. But safe to assume when Google looked through other examples of unauthorised IP usage and other IP owners filing complaints, it all added up. “I emailed her (Linda Ikeji) repeatedly. And it was not the first time people had plagiarised my content, but usually, I reach out and they take it down,” Mr. Dan’Iyan added. A Digital Copyright Millenium Act, DMCA, is an avenue to report content that you would like removed from Google’s services under applicable laws. According to Mr. Dan’Iyan, Ms. Ikeji had used over 10,000 copyrighted pictures and stories over the past five years without the authorisation of the copyright owners. Google took down the blog on Wednesday following multiple allegations of copyright infringement. Ms. Ikeji did not respond to our enquiries Wednesday. “People are sending stuff in, but hopefully, when she bounces back, as I know she will, she will be the paragon of accountability when it comes to using material,” he said. “In other words, she’ll only use that which she got permission for, this way tempers would cool and lawsuit won’t proceed by aggrieved parties (of which I am no longer one). “Personally, I want Linda to win and win big. Her story is a huge inspiration to many, and should continue to be, as long as she does things the right way.” |
shockwave91:I really don't know why Nigerians reason this way. Google host Linda's blog and she broke the rules even after being warned several times. Google looked into the claims and saw she truly broke the rules, they kicked her out. What is blocking each other's progress in that? If anything then violating intellectual property is a serious offence and she should be lucky she's not getting sued. Let's stop being too sentimental. |
thegoodjoehunt3:And how did u know this, were u there? Or this is just another conspiracy theory. |
thegoodjoehunt3:The drug is still experimental. U haven't answered my question, is it safe to say Nigeria has the cure for Ebola since we were able to combat the virus with very minimal fatality. In that case should people from Liberia and sierra Leone start flooding the country looking for treatment? |
Etianwanokon:And what makes u think Nigerians did not inject sawyer to death? Sawyer survived just a few days in Nigeria when other patients survived far longer days. Don't throw stones when u live in a glass house. The number of double standard fellows on nairaland is just too much. |
thegoodjoehunt3:It is still not 100% effective so it is not right to say they have the drug. The most important thing is intensive care in a well equipped hopsital. If u administer the drug to an ebola patient and leave him unattended to, he will still die. Anyway since Nigeria is also free from the virus, will u also say Nigeria has the drug for Ebola? The answer is no. |
begwong:The man was a Liberian not an American. I guess u now know who the mumu is. |
quid:What makes u think US has the drug? Because they saved their 2 doctors with an experimental drug? The same drug that didn't work on the Spaniard? What the US have is an experimental drug and its potency hasn't been confirmed, it might work on Mr A and might not work on Mr B so it is not safe to say they have the drug for Ebola... At least not yet. If u think they have the drug then it is also safe to say Nigeria also have the drug for Ebola since we also fought and eradicated the disease in Nigeria. So going by ur logic, are u trying to say it is safe for people from Liberia to start flooding Nigeria because we have the cure for Ebola? If u think the man didn't do wrong for taking the disease to usa then no one should ever cause sawyer as he did the same thing. |
PapiWata:You have spoken well. Lots of folks here are double standards, condemning sawyer for bringing Ebola to Nigeria, and then turn around and still blame America for letting Mr Duncan die when he took the virus to America. WTF is wrong with my people? |
sultaan:Yes ever reliable Camry. Are u surprised there are more Camry's and Hondas needing engine and transmission change? The reason is simple, there are more of those cars on the road compared to others. There are at least 500 Camry to one fusion on Nigerian roads. And probably 2,000 Camry to one Malibu, so it is very logical to find broken down Camry before u find ur so called american models. Even a Camry sells more than a ford fusion in America. Let people start buying those models u recommend and by the time they litter our roads, then u will find whole lot of them needing mechanical fix. @op, at least u can easily get the engine and tranny of ur car at ladipo. Try buying a Malibu and when the worst happens u will need to pack the car at the mechanic workshop because u can't find the parts. I absolutely see no reason bringing a Chevy Malibu into this. People think Camrys are bland, malibus are worse. A 2007 Camry will kick a 2007 mailbu's a$s in every department. That car is ugly in and out. |
oluwasegun007:Now are u seriously comparing a medical doctor with a souldier? A doctor that spent 6 years in the university doing intensive study with little time to flex. Then goes to medical school, professional courses etc before becoming a certified doctor. Now u want to compare him with a souldier with SSCE? I wonder how people dey reason sef. If it is easy to become a doctor u should try and become one. |
vislabraye:U are asking for the players that won the nations cup as if they are not the same players in the eagles camp? Goalkeeper: enyeama Defence: ambrose, omeruo, oboabona, echiejile Midfield: Mikel, onazi, mba Attack: musa, emenike, ideye Are these not the players that won the nations cup? are they not still the players that played the last 2 qualifiers? With the exception of enyeama that excused himself, ideye that was dropped because u all never liked him, and then Sunday mba. So basically the team is missing only mba and ideye and u all are saying keshi is changing his team? Smh. |
vislabraye:Dude, u all talk as if keshi changed his whole team when he is just tweaking and trying to discover one or 2 players to add to the ones he already have. This is still the same team that went to afcon. Our back 4 has remained unchanged. The midfield trio is still Mikel, onazi and one space for babatunde/azeez/ uchebo/whoever keshi finds. The attack is still musa, emenike and osaze was added for the world cup. So basically only one spot is vacant in the attack . that means keshi has at least 8 regulars in his team, so why do u guys keep saying he is changing his team? I just don't get it. Its not like he changed 5 or 6 players all at once. |
vislabraye:That is a silly comparison right there. 1994 was out golden era and we haven't produced real talents since the class of 1994. In fact the only world class player we had post 94 was KANU nwankwo and since then we never had a world class player. But since u want names, I can tell u that Chidi nwanu never played in the 1994 nations cup but was an integra part of 1994 world cup. |
maestroferddi:Truth be told, ik Uche and martins have NEVER played well for the super eagles. They have been given enough chance and we are the same ones asking for others to be given a chance. England played badly at the world cup because they chose Gerrard even though it is obvious he is finished and he cost them against Uruguay. Now they are going the same downward path by making Rooney their national captain. Rooney being captain means automatic selection , where will he play? Sturridge is a better striker, sterling and Berkeley are better playmakers, chamberlain, welbeck and Walcott will do a better job at the flanks. U can see there is really no space for Rooney but they made him the captain because he is Rooney. This is the same thing happening in Nigeria. |
Kingjames: Thank you, I like people that argue with facts but sometimes these facts can be faulted, no player is bigger than the coach talk less of the team-fact,Keshi had most of his team that played in the world cup for the last 2 qualifiers. The star players missing are only osazie who is injured and enyeama. The team played like crap. Whether we are a better team now with the new invites remain to be seen. We can only conclude after play a couple of games together, we need to chill, if keshi fails to qualify then they can fire him, but he deserves to be given a chance to do his job based on what he has achieved. |
newguy1: One thing i hate about nigerian is dat we r 2 opionated, come on i dont see oda country nag about dir coach as us. U gave dis guy to job because u consider him d best among d lots so y dis. as far as i have seen he hasnt fail on us, won us a cup of nation got us to d 2nd round of wc. If he like let him bring okocha out of retirement to play for him d basics is he must not fail us.all dis ex players coming out to critise keshi, if dey can do better let dem com forward or dey should stop barking inside d fence.....Don't mind them. For 19 years we never won the nations cup. Since 1998 we have never won a game at the world cup not to talk of making it out of the first round, even with foreign coaches. Now someone came, an underdog, won the nations cup after 19 years, won a game at the world cup and the qualified for the second round. Got beaten by a tactically better team in France and we all come here and say he is clueless. We are expecting magic when we don't have the right players always looking for the slightest opportunity to sleign the coach even when our superstars like emenike, onazi etc under perform. Keshi is trying to build a team with players that will be loyal to him and play to instructions. If y'all don't like that then let them fire him and start again from square one, I am 100% sure his successor will be fired after the nations cup. |
hydrocarbon: ....I see u don't understand nigerian football,,who are the guys he's callin up for the games when we'v got better and more experienced players,I do agree with ikpeba,he has lost itCan u tell me who the better and experienced players are? A team is not built on individual effort, all players have to be in sync and if the coach feels a particular player will ruin his flow of football or dressing room, would u rather he use the player and disrupt his pattern of play or bench him? No player is bigger than the team.. it took Low 8 years to build the German team that won the world cup. You seem to forget we didn't smell AFCON for 19 years until keshi came . Keshi deserves to be given enough chance dude. Mourinho sold Mata (who was their best player in 2 years) because he thought he does not fit in his team. Redondo was dropped from Argentina team from 1998 world cup even though he was one of their best players. My point is no player is indispensable, a good coach has stamp authority and discipline into his team. Let them sack Keshi and employ whoever, I can tell u its back to square one and that new coach will be sacked after the nations cup and the cycle will just continue. |
Wheellz: cm yo tink of it. keshi has been building since 2012. WEN R WE GOING TO SEE A DECISIVE TEAM?How are we supposed to be hitting them hard? How many genuine talents are in Africa? How many African players are world class? We don't even have a single world class player in Nigeria at the moment. U think football is only all about brute force? No wonder emenike is the best striker we have. |
Goke7: emenike, onazi, omeruo, oboabona, ejide were all woeful especially against congo but because these players are Nigerian fans favourites, keshi was blamed instead, apart from ejide these are all our so called regulars that if they were dropped keshi will be beheaded, still most nigerians including so called big sports journalists ignored their performances and blamed the coach.Gbam. Until we start appreciating what we have, our football will never move forward. Our players are mediocre, but everyone puts the blame on the coach. The same coach that won the nations cup after 19 years of bareness. Everyone wants osaze. Onazi, omeruo, ambrose emenike, etc to play but nobody days anything when they play bad, its always 'blame it on keshi'. Keshi this, keshi that. We have been sacking coaches since 1994 (20 years now ) with nothing to show for it. Recently Mikel has been made a scapegoat. Musa was hated by most Nigerians even when he puts up his best.. Not until his 2 goals against Argentina. But emenike, osaze and co are fans favorites and cannot be touched. This is the same problem with England national team. The likes of lampard and Gerrard where untouchable, thereby not giving others a chance. Instead of building a team around youth, they played the old players and this is why England can never win anything. Isn't it obvious Gerrard cost them against Uruguay, and now they have appointed Rooney ( another overrated spoilt brat) as team captain. With Rooney as captain it means he's automatic first choice even though they have better players to play his role ( sturridge is better striker, sterling and Berkeley are better no 10). How can they win? We have passion in this country, but lack real talents, just like England. Sacking the coach will not solve this. I think keshi is trying to build a team to his taste, with players that are loyal and willing to play to his instructions. I think it is the way forward, no player is bigger than the team. This will take some time but the problem is we are all looking for instance success. |
Lamborghini aventador? Lol. Op u funny die I swear. That does not in any way look like an aventador. In fact that is a first generation Lamborghini gallardo (2003 model). Great car though but the price is below $100,000. A brand new g wagon costs more than that car and we see them everyday on the road. I can get that same model of Lamborghini for u for 25 million naira. |
thegoodjoehunt3: It is funny how easy it is for people to criticise Coach Keshi and put the blame on Mikel.I couldn't have said it better. Nigerians see emenike as a 'God' and that he is indispensable. So they always blame the coach when the team is not performing. He ad a good afcon but since then he has really dropped form and his ego on the pitch cannot be over emphasized. He sees himself as an automatic selection and that is affecting him. Its time he gets the stick so he can sit up and play at the level we all want. We can't keep defending underperforming players. Mikel has been made a scapegoat, but Mikel is not the only underperforming player in the super eagles. No manager, I repeat.. No coach will do wonders with this set of players. Ever since the class of 1994, we haven't had a solid team. It has been from one manager to another , always blaming the coaches and we haven't kept a coach for 3 years. Tell me how can we build a team? The likes of lagerback, bora milutinovic, siasia, onigbinde, etc were all fired. It is time we give coaches a chance and accept we do not have the right players to make us play the way we want. For 20 years now we have put the blame on coaches, how about we accept the players are the one underperforming. Sack keshi today and we are back to square one because the next coach will be sacked after the nations cup and the cycle continues. No player is indispensable. Redondo was dropped from the 1998 world cup squad for Argentina. I can remember Ferguson dropping Rooney to favor welbeck in champions league. Even Joe Hart was dropped by by pellegrini and it made him sit up and come back stronger. |
mechanics: dats true, Keshi is a cameleon, wen a player does well, he stil use dat player, wen dat player does nt perform well, he abandons d player, or mayb because he discover dem he can use n abandon dem, i disagree wit keshi 4 abandoning Victor Moses, dis a prolific player dat can cause upset to d national team, Keshi keeps fighting one player or d oda, i hp NFF we see to dis attitude of coaches, i just pray we qualify. So he should keep playing moses even when he is match rusty huh. Same people will complain that keshi should give others a chance. |
Elnino4ladies: The motherfvcker shld jst quit, no body give a fvck. Striker that is on goal drought for twelve matches..let him go abegi!Only u reason here. That dude has dropped form since afcon success. Now he feels he is big and he's even no longer a team player, shooting when he should have passed and making a useless run when he should shoot. No doubt he had a good afcon and won the heart of many Nigerians, but since he came back he has been poo really. Even at the world cup, his body language towards players like Ramon azeez and babatunde shows he is very proud and thinks the team is all about him. Our opening game against Iran is a good example. That evil look on azeez when he misplaced a pass. And then he had an argument with babatunde and others in subsequent matches. Abeg make him quit if he want. Terrific player but bad attitude. |
