Car TalkRe: What Makes A Bad Driver-over Confidence Or Lack Of Confidence? by abatically(m): 11:26pm On Jul 11, 2014
Some bad driving habits I noticed

1. Honking of horn unnecessarily on streets or in traffic even when it is obvious the person in front of u is also stuck.

2. Speeding over zebra crossing. It is recommended to slow down when passing through a zebra crossing, and then stop for pedestrians to cross if there are any.

3. Executing a turn or switching lanes without using turn indicators or trafficators. .

4. Stopping in the middle of the road to drop or pick passengers. This is very common with danfo drivers, I wonder where these guys get their driver's license.

For me hazard is a more rounded player and has the potentials to become world's best player. Sanchez is also a good player but he is too direct while hazard has more tricks that he can improve on. Sanchez should be compared to schurrle, they are both similar. my opinion though.

It means nothing. Do ur research very well. FIFA warned France in 2010, the same way they warned Nigeria. France heeded the warning while Nigeria turned deaf ears. Even Greece was suspended in 2007 for the same thing Nigeria are doing now.

NSNA: Don't find an excuse for FIFA. they would never suspend EU countries like the UK or the USA no matter what, they are only flexing because its Africa.
Not finding excuse for FIFA. EU countries respect rules and regulations and that is why they hardly find themselves in this kind of mess. When an average Nigerian goes to a bank or gas station and meets a long queue, he would look for a way to jump queue instead of staying on the line and wait for his turn, especially when that person is rich. A white man on the other hand would be on line and wait for his time. Being black doesn't stop us from doing the right thing and it also doesn't stop u from realizing the truth. FIFA says no govt interference why can't we keep it that way and wait until August when they will hold a meeting.

In 2009, FIFA banned Chelsea FC from signing players until 2011 because they broke the rules. Does that also have to do with Africa? Why do we always blame the white man for our own wrong doings?

In 2007, FIFA suspended Greece from all competitions because of their government interference in domestic ruling of sports. Is Greece not an EU country? Don't be blinded because of patriotism.

Nigerians can't follow simple rules, always wanting to jump the line and cut corners, this has been our problem in this country. Other countries respect rules and regulation, they are well organised and that is why they prosper. No need to blame FIFA, if Nigeria can't follow FIFA's rules then why would they wanna participate in FIFA organised tournaments?

how many times did i call you?

now open your ears

The BBC documentary about your top officials exposed you to the world and showed how outrageously corrupt you are.
You are being ruled by untouchable Blatter for some 20 years now and the old man still wants to contest more. is that democracy?
You bribed your vice president with a pay off when he said he will expose all of your corrupt affairs.
Now you don't want Nigeria to investigate an official in a nation were the citizens are crying that corrupt officials go unpunished.
It is not enough that your Fifa rankings are totally bulls...
many countries want a restructure of FIFA, the UK included.

FIFA pack you load and go, and don't come back until you fix your house.
Black kettle pointing at another
I really don't get the reason for ur ranting. FIFA should pack their load and go? Pls don't make me laugh. We need FIFA, not the other way round. FIFA laid the rules but Nigeria as usual always breaking the rules, we are the ones that need to put our house together. FIFA said no government interference with fa but Nigeria govt keep interfering... So how is that fifa's fault?

Sometimes too much of patriotism makes us shy away from the truth. It is good to be patriotic but lets call a spade a spade. I only pity the young falconets and our under 17 . Nigeria govt should not deny them their opportunity so they should do the needful. As for FIFA, trust me they wont bulge. Nigerians should do the right thing for once instead of always going through the back door.

dasparrow: This forum has gone to hades because of inferiority-stricken-self hating Nigerians like you. I have never seen a group of people who find all sorts of excuses to absolve the white man from racism like the average Nigerian. The irony of it all is that the same white people that Nigerians like you adore, worship and spend day and night defending are the same people that detest you and cannot be bothered with whether you live or die. The shameful part of it all is that an average Nigerian will throw you under the bus in a heartbeat just to defend the white man's injustice towards the black man.

I have news for you and all other anti-black self hating Negros like yourself. Until you learn to love yourself and YOUR people, don't expect any love from people of other racial groups. The white man will continue to humiliate the black man because we have a growing number of self hating conceited black folks like you who will never call a spade a spade as far as it concerns the white man. This is why Nigeria and indeed Africa will remain a laughing stock because a people divided against itself can never stand.

When you go to all white forums, how many times do you read white people strongly defending blacks against their fellow whites? They don't! They stick together but Negros like you are sell outs. Your type are the kind that will report an enslaved black person to the white slave master when he is trying to escape the plantation just so you can score brownie points. Defend the white man's hate and injustice all you want but the white man will always see you as a monkey and inferior to him. Keep standing up for a race that does not give a shyte about you or your country you hear? I hardly see Nigerians like you make excuses for tribalism or tribalist Nigerians but you are quick to make excuses for the white man. In my next life if there was one, I wish to never be a citizen of a black African country like Nigeria that is filled with so many self-hating inferiority complex stricken people.

@Post

I have always wished that Africans will boycott the world cup because the world cup definitely does not promote unity amongst the races and FIFA is not fair in their dealings. However, I know that there are just too many anti-black yet pro-white black Africans like the self hating inferiority complex stricken Nigerians on this forum that will never support that happening.
You are definitely getting the whole thing wrong. Trust me nobody here is 'anti black' or 'self hating negro' as u put it. Rather u should ask urself if blacks are working hard enough. There are lots of black men that have reached the highest level of success. A good example is the American president Barrack Obama who is a black man. But if u ask those successful black men, they will tell u the secret of their success is hard work and not looking for cheap excuse to blame the white men.

I will give u an example. Let's say in America, a white man and an average black man went for a job interview. If the white man was picked, the average black man would resort to a cheap excuse (racism) as the reason he was not picked ahead of the white man. Instead of him to sit up and work hard so he can be ahead next time. But ,most blacks have this inferiority complex, they blame racism every time things don't go their way.. while the white man works hard, invent things and gain more knowledge. Racism excuse has made lots of black men lazy simply because they have a ready made excuse whenever they fail. For example, let's say there's a stop and search operation. A policeman stops a black man to search him, the next thing the black man would say is ARE U SEARCHING ME BECAUSE I'M BLACK?, but they won't say anything when a white man is being searched. We are the ones that discriminate ourselves.

Let's take a look at the Chinese. In the past the Chinese were a laughing stock. But that didn't discourage them. They sat down, worked hard and now they have an economy that rivals that of the United States. Dividends of hard work.. Most of the worls's best products are now manufactured in China. But we black are so lazy and look for the slightest opportunity to blame the white men. An average black man with few millions feel like he is on top of the world, the bragging right starts and whenever someone tries to caution them he will be like HOW MUCH DOES HE HAVE TO TALK TO ME LIKE THAT? This is the case with Ghanian Boateng and Mutari. This also happens in the Super Eagles squad. Players are richer than their local coaches so they feel the coaches can't control them.. INDISCIPLINE.

I know racism do exist, but we are the ones making a meal out of it. On the football field, it has become very difficult for a white player to open a fight with a black man because of the fear of racial abuse. But if u look closely u will see it is easier for a black player to use abusive words on a white man. The white players have to be careful with the kind of words he use these days. Gareth Bale, a British footballer has been called monkey several times to the point that they even threw banana at him. If that was a black man it would have been a more serious case. An average black man's reasoning is like a Nigerian woman driving on Lagos roads.

No disrespecting the women, but anyone noticed while driving and u try to switch lanes with a slow moving woman, she would suddenly increase her speed so u won't be able to switch. They will never give u a chance because in their mind they are like 'you think u can cheat me because I'm a woman'?. That is the case with black men. They always think they are being cheated because of their race.

Yaya Toure ranting about injustice Africans suffered in the hands of referee... What would Croatia say when they conceded a cheap penalty against Brazil? What would Mexico say when they had 2 legit goals cancelled against Cameroon. What would Bosnia say when they had a legit goal cancelled against Nigeria or when Emenike fouled their player in the build up to Nigeria goal?, What would the Iranians say when Dejagah was brought down in the Argentine's penalty box and a penalty was not given? Football is not a perfect sports, u win some decisions, u lose some.

I know I would probably get tongue lashed for this write up, well I don't care, I know some would find the truth in this. It is true some whites hate blacks, but it is not as bad as some people here think it is. I am also a Nigerian.

So my question is, if we blacks continue to blame the whites for our misfortunes, then who should the whites blame for their own misfortunes?

SportsRe: OPINION: Could The Presence Of Neymar And Thiago Silva Have Changed The Game? by abatically(m): 11:14pm On Jul 08, 2014
Yes the presence of Neymar and Silva would have made a huge difference. Germany would probably win but it would have been a close one. Brazil rely too much on Neymar to create their chances. He carries the team going forward and he increases their morale. Brazil also lack a true striker..... Fred and Jo are useless I have been shouting all these while.

Thiago Silva at the back has always been the one making David Luiz look good. Without him, Luiz is shyte at the back and that was exposed today. David Luiz is good going forward but he sucks at defending. Thiago's replacement Dante is even worse. Brazil suffered the consequence of building their team around one player (Neymar). Germany on the other hand are more technical. You don't know who is their best player, they play as a team. if u remove Muller they will still play. Remove Kroos, or klose or Ozil, it doesn't stop them playing as a team.

SportsWhat We Learnt From Brazil Vs Germany by abatically(op): 10:57pm On Jul 08, 2014
I had an argument with a friend before this match. I predicted Germany would 'Thrash' Brazil. Anyway these are my takes from the match.

1. Brazil are over reliant on Neymar. They had no clue going forward especially in the first half. They lost their fighting spirit and no player to really motivate them.

2. Davis Luiz is a terrible defender. I can now see why Mourinho sold him, and for 50 million that was a really good business. Don't get me wrong, Luiz is good going forward but when it comes to the major work of a defender which is actually defending, he sucks. It is very obvious that that the absence of Thiago Silva at the back exposed their rear. The worse is even pairing a bad defender like Luiz with another bad defender in Dante.

3. European teams have always and will still remain more tactical teams than south Americans. South Americans have players with individual talents but when it comes to techniques and tactics, I give it to to the Europeans. The absence of Neymar exposed Brazil, I don't see one player u can take out in the German team that would really affect them. They play as a team.

4.Manuel Neuer proved why he is world no 1 goalkeeper. Great saves in the second half.

5. Football is unpredictable . Brazil didn't just lose, they were humiliated, but I still see the fans cheering their team. This is what we should learn in Africa especially Nigeria. If that was Nigeria I'm sure the fans would have stopped cheering and we all will start the blaming game and singing FIFA conspiracy.

Everything went wrong from Brazil today. I actually saw this coming and I had a bet with a friend today that Germany would trash Brazil.

1. Brazil are not so good collectively. Take out Neymar and they are clueless going forward.
2. David Luiz is not a good defender. Without Thiago by his side he is clueless at the back. Also they brought dante to partner Luiz, another useless player.

Fulaman198: That is because a lot of these Nigerians/blacks in this thread defending European racism and FIFA bigotry are nothing more than slaves and bottoms. I rest my case. Africans can critique/criticise themselves when it comes to Master watch them stoop with knee and bow like a bunch of submissive slaves. I'm done watching the game with Germany vs. Brazil. Good job Ghana for doing so well against Germany and almost beating them, you are the only team to score on Germany this World Cup.
I can't believe u actually wrote this. I think u are the one running away from the truth all in the name of 'blind patriotism'. Accepting defeat in good faith is part of every sports, it doesn't make u a slave. Rather what makes u a slave is blaming and whining after losing rather than correcting ur mistakes. You know why? Because in 4 years u will still come back and lose again and then whine and blame everybody and the cycle continues.

I don't see how it is fifa's fault that African teams lack talents. Neither is it fifa's fault that African teams lack discipline and fight over money when they are supposed to be training.

Yes Chiellini thought the ban was harsh, but it is not chiellini's decision to dish out a punishment for a player that has bit an opponent 3 times. Chiellini and Italy with the rest of the world showed their frustration when the incident happened. FIFA took their decision.

SportsRe: Opinion: Africa Should Boycott The Next World Cup by abatically(m): 5:11pm On Jul 08, 2014
Fulaman198: All i have read is more slave-washed behaviour to back up ridiculous FIFA racism and bias. A lot of the teams get to where they are based on ridiculous calls made by refs. It has always been the case where an African team should have beaten a Euro or South American side.

A very good example is the World Cup of 94 (which I'm old enough to remember since I was 10 years old), when Nigeria faced Argentina, the match was so blatantly one-sided in favour of the Argentinians due to really ridiculous ref calls. At halftime, Nigeria's coach then Westerhoff even asked the referee if he had been paid. Ivory Coast's injustice suffered at the hands of the ref in the Greece match is another example. Another African team would have been in the 2nd round, that would have meant 3/5 African teams or 60% would have been in the 2nd round. Ghana possibly could have also made it to the second round if they would have been a bit more attentive and focused.
Oh bravo, u want to talk about USA 94? Can u tell me how this is a red card?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2GVZs3IuDh8#t=16

Fulaman198: The thing is Europe is over-represented. They are not really good at football. Look at Spain, England, Italy, etc all first round exits. What about Portugal?
Slots are given based on previous performance of each continents and on the numbers and/or relative strength of the confederations' teams. No African team has made it to the Semi's, Africa has made it to the quater finals only twice. When world cup started it was just one African team, it later increased to 3 and then 5 when number of teams increased to 32. Cameroun with Roger Miller gave Africa more recognition in the 90's. The level of football in each continent is also considered and to be sincere u can never compare the football we play in Africa to Europe.

About Spain and Italy, really they have nothing to prove. Italy have won the world cup 4 times (2006 being their latest). They have been runners up 2 times and 3rd place 1 time. They are definitely a power house.

Spain have won every major competition they played in between 2008-2012. They are the current world cup champions and won European competitions back to back, still current champions. They are also a power house.

bushdoc9919: Fun thread.....and once again the usual Blame the whiteman.

Now,look......racisim exists....and I am sure it exists too in the hallowed halls of FIFA (As an example....go read the story of how the late former CAF chairman Mr Tessema fought with the then Stanley Rous FIFA for even Africa to get one guaranteed spot.)

Let's be honest.....FIFA since Joao Havelange 's tenure began in 1974 has been fair to Africa. Why, we have the u17 tournament......which was specifically biased towards African teams. We have the Goal project....which Blatter specifically stated was ''For developing countries only''

So why haven't we done well at the world cup?

Because after the youth tournaments.....the European and South American players go home and continue developing their tactical and skill base. The Nigerians and other Africans think that now is the time to make money.....so they pose like big boiz!

Plus, European countries in particular have extensive youth football programmes. It is not surprising that Germany.....with nearly 2000 UEFA grade B youth coaches, and Holland, the home of Ajax's super youth system ,are in the World cup semis. How about Brazil and Argentina? Same thing.

How many Nigerian clubs have a Ajax type youth system.....that would train players from the age of 8 to be good in football skills (There is the son of a family friend who left Naija with his family 20 years ago.....nowadays he works for a top Premier league club....teaching the 8 year olds dribbling skills. Tell me....which Nigerian club does that).

If we want to do well in the world cup.....we better follow what Belgium did.....and focus on quality of players....instead of winning trophies that mean nothing. We may not win the world cup immediately.....but we will get there.

If it were to be a real World cup, there would be equal number of teams representing all the continents. Apart from that, there should be equal number of officials representing the continents and the matches shared equally among the officials.
Anything other than the above, it's not World cup and Africa should boycot it..

When will u realize onazi's case is a normal thing that happens in every football match. Both players went for the ball, onazi was faster and got the ball first, matuidi missed. That is clearly non international. We are only making a case out if it because it happened to one of ours. Even Mikel said it himself that yellow card was right. Its a 50/50. Some refs will give red while some won't. If FIFA are to investigate all such challenge then they will be too busy with silly investigations than concentrate on the game. Why is FIFA not investigating song's silly challenge on the Croatian player?
