I know u are a Lexus fan, me too. The rx330 is a very nice affordable mid class luxury cuv that has been underrated and I often advice friends who are not too rich to go for a Lexus rather than range rover sport.

But truth be told, the range rover sport commands more respect. Its more beautiful than the rx330 on the exterior. Take a further step inside and it dusts the $hit out of the Lexus, but that is expected for a car that costs more than 2 times the price of the Lexus. Performance wise, off road capabilities, luxury, comfort the RR sports is way ahead of the rx330.

So for someone who is very rich and don't care for cost of maintenance, then buy RR sports. For a middle class-above middle class, the rx330 is ideal. Bro u can't expect a Mikel obi to be driving an rx330.

Now, i dont know how or on what basis you guys or you in this case qualify(s) a fast car because i can see you mentioning honda. Now all those Japanese cars a pretty fast but i dont see the sense in a car being fast to an extent that you feel the car slipping out of your control(flying things).
so before i open my mouth to say that a car is fast, it has got to have some stamina to go by or with. and thats what makes the benz stand out. i could go as fast as the car can go feeling all relaxed and in control, but trust me when i tell you that some things i do on my benz cant and shouldnt be tried on so many other so called fast cars.
well longly and shorty said i dusted the hilux, maybe you should try going against a sound hilux truck with a fast driver behind the wheels and see what i mean and make sure your not on a benz.

For the fact that u are beating ur chest that u outran a truck like the hilux shows a lot how crap ur so called Benz is, u should probably dash it out already. Maybe ubdont know that most hilux has a max speed of 160km/hr, that means u are already going beyond limit when u are on 150. Some newer ones have speedo up to 200km/hr but believe me it would take a very long stretch of road to get it to do 170 and rpm will be high.

If Toyota hilux is what u calk fast car, then Land cruiser Prado is a speed demon lol. My Honda accord v6 will chew that ur Benz.

mikeansy: Kagawa has come in a few time for Herrera in a central midfield position and he has not done too badly. I can see him playing their comfortably in a 3-4-1-2 formation against some weak premier league opposition

Ander Herrera is a very versatile player. He looks small but he is strong and does make lots of prodessional tackles in midfled to stop opposition counter attacks something kagawa cannot do. Kagawa can't play in central midfield, I would rather play cleverly in CM than kagawa. Cleverly can run, he only needs 2 creative midfielders beside him for him to play well and that is what Herrera and Mata are for. And this is why cleverly never plays well in a 4-4-2 formation because he only has one midfielder beside him (last season it was carrick and he is not that creative IMHO). Now in a 3-5-2 he has Herrera or fletcher and then Mata who also joins in midfield to make the passes while he (cleverly) does the dirty jobs.

3-5-2 is the only formation we can play that can accommodate 2 strikers and a number 10 with every player in their favorite position. Its a dynamic formation, one minute its 3-5-2 and the next minute its 5-3-2. We only need our wing backs to be very hard working and we will score lots of goals. In a 4-4-2, Mata will not play his preferred role. In a 4-3-3, we can only play one striker which is a waste since we have 4. Three strikers can't sit on the bench. I wish we could sign cuardrado, a perfect player for the wing back.

If we can get the right players (which is what lvg is trying to do), then we can win the league with 3-5-2. This is also why I think we don't need di maria and reason lvg hasn't pushed for him. Where do u folks think di maria will fit in a 3-5-2? He surely can't play wing back. I'm sure Ashley Young would do a better job at wing back than di maria. Lvg is a good coach, he knows his formation and he is looking for the right players to make it work. If we can get Vidal and hummels, we will be a title contender.

He can't dispose Mata. Kagawa is good, but we all agree that Mata is an all round better player. If lvg is going to play 3-5-2, then kagawa will always play second fiddle to Mata. No other option to play kagawa, he can't play wing back or central midfield. In a 4-4-2 formation he could will manage as left winger, but 3-5-2? No other place then in the hole where we already have Mata.

They play different wings. Iheanacho is a no 10, Mikel is a central midfielder. So technically both will play together unless we find a replacement for Mikel, its definitely not iheanacho.

This is comparing apples and oranges. 2 different cars targeted at different customers. You didnt state the year, but lets say we are comparing 2005 models. The range rover sports is by far the better car assuming money is not a problem, I mean who no like better thing. The range commands respect and prestige, more luxurious, more powerful and a very capable off roader. There's no way to compare the 2 cars.

The rx330 is no slouch either. It is targeted at different customers. It is cheaper, more reliable, luxurious for its class and a lot cheaper to maintain. It also has an awd model which can get u out of some bad terrains, but there are terrains the range Rover sports would go and the Lexus would get stuck, again the rx330 was never meant to be a serious off roader.

But then the question is this, does the op needs all the power the range rover sports pack? That thing has a 4.4L v8 engine while the rx330 has a 3.3L v6. I wouldn't advice someone who is not a frequent long distance traveler or someone who never does off road driving to get a range rover sports because the features would be a waste. The mistake most young boys make is they don't know what the range is meant for. I know a lot of guys that bought it and after 2 years they packed it because of high maintenance. It is not a car for the middle class, the maintenance is very expensive. Mpg is very low, but shouldn't be a problem for whoever can afford it.

So op, if u are well loaded, get the range rover sports, u won't regret it. But if u are looking for a small luxury SUV that can get u to ur destinations comfortably without putting a hole in ur pocket, get the rx330 or better still the rx350 which is a lot better than the 330. The rx350 is the best rated and highest selling mid size luxury SUV in north America. If u do a lot of offloading, get the range rover sports.

I think u are the one that needs to get ur facts right. Who told u the fuel pump of any car is indispensable? European cars are more expensive when they leave the factory, but it is a known fact that their price drop considerably once their mileage reach the 100,000 mark while their Japanese counterparts still maintain their value. How else would u explain a 2003 Toyota Camry at 100,000 miles costing the same or more than a 2003 Mercedes Benz C240 with similar mileage when we all know at brand new the Benz costs more.

This is not true. European cars are better when brand new and under warranty. Once the warranty period has elapsed their value fall down considerably. You have a 13 year old Benz 230? My grandfather has a 1986 Toyota Camry that still runs on its original engine and transmission. A 1999 Toyota Camry is 15 years old and still selling stronger than a 15 year old Mercedez Benz C or E class. If Toyota and other Japanese cars are so bad like u claim, how come the camry, accord, civic, corolla, Lexus RX all have an almost perfect score on consumer report against their European counterparts?

I've seen someone compare a mercedes Benz S class with a Toyota Corolla... how is that even close? Japanese make cars for every class. Someone even compared a mercedes Benz ML350 to a Rav 4. Let's put it this way, a 2014 Lexus GS350 costs almost the same as a Mercedes Benz E350.. fair comparison. Now how is that cheap? But u do know the Lexus will be more expensive after 15 years of use.

We all know Europeans have better engineering (amidst unproven technology), nobody is disputing that, but OP's points are very valid, Japanese cars hold more value after long mileage.

I would say go for the Camry. The so called purists here will write a very long essay just to convince u to buy the Peugeot due to emotional attachment. The 2003 Camry aka big for nothing might look bland inside, but that car has a very very good consumer review of 4.5 stars out of 5 and also on on Kelly Blue Book, something the 406 can only dream of. It is more reliable than the 406 and the v6 variant it very potent. It also commands respect especially the XLE models. Maintenance is cheaper and u have a far better second hand value.

Being just a friendly I really wasn't all that interested in catching this game but I managed to switch to ESPN with 20 mins left just to see if Kelechi featured. To my surprise the commentators kept talking about him and how great he had been all game. When he scored that low flying calmly taken shot towards the end, the commentator said it was a deserving goal from someone who had done so muuch during the game. And so I knew I had to watch this game from the beginning on ESPN 3.

And what a game he had. I wouldn't bore the forum with my impressions of Kelechi but suffice it to say that he is unlike any current SE player in terms of not forcing issues or over exerting himself when unnecessary. His passes where delivered like the US Postal Service (on time and accurately, no over/under hitting). He dribbled only when necessary (one of which led to a penalty after he took on 2 players effortlessly and laid a pass to his team mate who was brought down. His confidence could be seen when he grabbed the ball to take the penalty only for Kolarov (captain for the night) to pull seniority and take the penalty.

After he scored it was as if everyone including his team mates quickly realised that they had a gem in their hand and until he was substituted he was suddenly receiving passes from his team mates which normally only happens when they believe in what you can do with the ball. It was also a delight to see Kolarov wrap his arm around Kelechi's shoulder as he gesticulated and advised him.

I needed to see this guy perform with the world's best and to say I was impressed is an under statement. If City were not so sure about him before, they may have now realised that this is a star in the making and will guard him with all their might from poachers. It is worth noting that Kelechi was included in the US tour after their training camp in Scotland so this was not a random act by the coach. I'll stake my reputation to say that all things being equal, Kelechi will turn out to be one of the world's best. Good luck!!!

One good game in pre season means nothing. The same way Jesse lindgaard did well in man utd pre season last time. Same way Wilfred zaha was hyped. Wait until he consistently put up good performances.

Its too early to say this. Just one pre season game doesn't make him ready. E be like say OP want them to break his legs already, simply put, he is not ready. He needs to be brought into the super eagles gradually. Not saying they shouldn't invite him, but no way he is getting the no 10 shirt just yet. Even if he eventually plays for the Super Eagles, he won't get the no 10 shirt so far Mikel is still in the team. It is never done anywhere, u don't dispose someone of his shirt unless that person leaves the team. Mikel had a bad world cup, but he had a decent AFCON.. don't forget that easily.

And when will people realize Mikel never played no 10 for the Super Eagles at the World Cup? He played Central Midfield with Onazi .. Onazi played more like box to box while Mikel was holding. Chelsea successfully converted him to a defensive midfielder and Mikel was content with it because he didn't fight.. so I blame him for his shortcomings. Iheanacho is an attacking midfielder, Mikel is a holding midfielder.. different roles.

Did it occur to u that LVG would probably play 3-5-2? That's the formation he plays with Netherlands and that is the same formation he played last night. That way Rooney and RVP will play upfront while mata plays behind them. This is also why I think Cuadrado would be a better bargain than Di Maria in a 3-5-2 formation. Di maria can't play as a wing back while Cuadrado has a better work rate and can play wing back.. just like Valencia. In a 4-3-3 formation..... Di Maria would rule and there might be no room for Rooney unless RVP is injured.

Looks like u don't understand me. In Lagos where I currently live I hardly see 505's and 504's on the road.. but i still see lots of 80's corolla s and camrys used as taxis. Dude we all know Peugeots ruled in the 80's and only the rich were able to buy them. THIS IS WHY I SAID THEY ARE LIVING ON PAST GLORY. They made some impressive cars back then, but being heavy and strong doesn't mean they are safer. This is why they got kicked out of North America because they failed to meet safety standards while the likes of Toyota were safer to drive. I know there were lots of japanese small cars in the 80's but then Peugeot 505 and 504 were the more premium cars and were respected than the datsuns and co. But what happened when the Japanese started pushing Premium cars? They kicked Peugeot out really hard and people hardly buy them. I can't even see a Peugeot that can match a Lexus.

Let's put it this way, Peugeots are like Blackberry. They dominated in the past, and then relaxed while Toyota and co are like Apple and Samsung. They came out with better products and kicked Blackberry out. Blackberry are living on past glory, I see a lot of Nigerians still like them though, same thing with Peugeot fanatics.

oweniwe: My late step grand father, an Egba high chief bought a 504 station wagon brand new back in the 80s. In 1998 when he died, his family wanted to sell the car to raise money for his burial. My dad bought the 504 wagon from them and used it for about 5 years. When my dad upgraded to a toks 190 benz in 2003, he returned the 504 back to the family. . That 504 wagon is still running today.

I didn't say the corollas are no longer in use. Benz 190 vs corolla? You do know Benz 190 is an executive car while 80's corollas are very small compact cars even though they changed to front wheel drive in the 80's. Toyota still make better all round cars than the competition. Like it or not, Japanese competition is still the reason the Germans are now making fuel efficient cars.

All over the world, people buy used car.. its not just in Nigeria. Moreover the number of brand new Toyota's still surpass brand new Peougeots (by a very long mile) in Nigeria. So I really do not get ur point. Lots of Toyota dealerships everywhere (Not just Nigeria) because Toyota is a trusted brand. If I want to be a dealership today, u don't expect me to go Peugeot... why would I when I know I will hardly sell 2 cars in a week while the Toyota dealership beside me is selling 8 cars a week. That is suffering and smiling. It is not a matter of price dude. I am very sure a 1999 Camry is more expensive than a 1999 Peugeot 406, even though the 406 might be slightly more expensive when new. A brand new Camry and a brand new Peugot 508 are almost the same price, but people still choose Camry over 508.. so its got nothing to do with price. I can also guarantee u that in 10 years time, a used 2014 Toyota Camry will be way more expensive than a used 2014 Peugeot 508. Why? And u still think Toyota cars are not built to last?
