NaijaRoyalty: Lets sheath our sword for peace to reign my fellow youths
I believe no politician and police officers would take us for a ride henceforth. That's a very erroneous belief sir/ma Yes, protests should be halted for now but only to strategize and organise and allow the mayhem to subside because the mayhem is counterproductive But don't think for 1 second that they have heard and they will fix it. They will do the same SARS for Swat nonsense because fixing problems means they lose money and they don't want to lose money Street protests should be disengaged and replaced with fierce online attacks. |

busuyi44: Eyah !! What was the issue?
I flashed Derpfest android R with ease. I formatted data (yes to format type, not just wipe to format) Connected my type C OTG drive to my phone (I stored d zip files of the Derpfest ROM, DFE and vendor firmware on the OTG drive) Flashed d vendor firmware first, then d Derpfest ROM and finally DFE.
D first magisk file booted to fastboot. I just reflashed the Derpfest ROM to reboot to system. I eventually got a modded magisk.debug.zip which I flashed successfully without issue Hmm.. I'll add this info to my collection. It'll come in handy when I'm feeling adventurous again Thanks |

It is a rich man's world. The violence will not reach the true architects of this disaster in their secluded estates. It is the poor citizens who will end up fighting themselves in all sorts of outfits and under all sorts of names. Soldier, police, protester, looter, rioter... All hungry men fighting themselves
I don't condone violence but it is inevitable when chaos ensues. I just wish we could organise ourselves and go after the once truly responsible. In this digital age, computers are the most effective tools. No need to kill them when you can attack their money and investments. That's the only language they understand |

GreyLaw: Shut your trap!
You colluded with the army. They didn't come from space without your permission. In a sane place relatives of the slain should have given you thunderous slaps in the face in any of the hospital wards just to register their displeasure.
What is unfortunate about shootings and subsequent murder which you were privy to? Police stations were burned down by God knows who and soldiers didn't go there, but went to the toll gate. Of course! That's where money is made.
Men who are born to do evil and then turn around and claim good; you will be judged except you repent and ask for mercy both from God and those whom you passively participated in their murder. You give governor's too much credit sometimes. They can't really control the police, do you think they can control the army? |

Well, ignorance continues to ruin us all in one way or the other so I guess that statement is technically correct Anyway, you made an ill-informed comparison between miui and ios so I responded to that. quivah: The camera settings are 100% the same cause I checked every nook and cranny to make sure I set mine to the same settings on the blue variant. But no difference what so ever. I even used gcam in both phones, using the same settings still the blue beats the black hands down. It kinda feels like two different phones. From the settings(texts, fonts, some features present in one, absent in the other) to the graphics (one is bolder, clearer while the other seems lighter like it's fading and also smaller even though they are at the same font size. Medium ) to the camera (if the blue is at 90%, the black is at 70%). All at the same settings, themes, and fonts. Even the display settings are the same. Mind you, it's not just my 'black' variant. The guy I saw today using the same variant also lacks some of the features the blue has. And na why I dey rant now be that cause at first, I just accepted that they probably did some mistake with mine lol But now, I feel they intentionally made the black variant this way. Suggestion: Send both phones back to factory state then compare again |

pheezylyon: sorry na battery be the most important, my area light issues no too dea battery first then processor follow
and what do you mean by a used flagship thanks for ur comment though Umm, flagships are the top tier phones of any manufacturer. They have the best processors and good batteries to match (in most cases) Examples: Samsung s10, huawei p40, mi 9 We shall ignore the semantics of what is technically "the flagship" Anyway, they're always closer to 200000naira but you can get a flagship from the previous year (or two) for just over 100k. It's usually worth it (if it's not broken) |

GrandMufti: Once you wipe, the only thing that remains is TWRP.
The first bootup should take long. I hope you didn't mistake that for bootloop?
If it's stuck on bootscreen for a longtime, force restart.
If it's still stuck on the same screen after restart, reboot to recovery and flash magisk uninstaller zip file.
Or just clean flash. This time just flash only rom, fde and gapps, then reboot. Then you can try installing magisk. Follow the method to magisk in the previous post
Remember you have to install magisk v21 from magisk manager app. I'll try again when i get home tomorrow. Thanks for being so detailed |

GrandMufti: (Once you format data, no need for wiping before flashing rom)
And firmware?
I hope you know it's Android R you flashed?
You will do yourself well by spending time on your device telegram group.
Every information you need is there
Modified****
Try to boot first before installing magisk.
Use magisk debug, reboot to system, install magisk 21 thru magisk manager, reboot.
Check the comments from your screenshot on page 3 onwards.
Or better stick with Q rom I was there on the telegram group (for the rom) o but i didn't get as much info as i thought i would. I chose R (for gapps) because the revenge os rom i flashed is based on android 11; I guess i messed that one up cos i didn't think flashing android 11 was a problem. What if i already have magisk 21 installed before flashing the rom, would i still have to go through all those steps? I'll go to the proper telegram group as you suggested. Thanks for the help |

GrandMufti: Which magisk version did you Flash?
Which rom version did you download? it was revenge os 4.0 and it was the one for mi 9 I stayed on the magisk that was bundled with orangefox, v20.3. I flashed the magisk debug as they said. My exact steps were: Fresh install of miui 12.0.2 Install orangefox plus magisk 20.3 Boot to recovery Format data then reboot to system Reboot to recovery Wipe Dalvik cache vendor art data Queue ROM, magisk debug, DFE and nikgapps (core) in that order then flash all Result: bootloop

Guess who followed the instructions and still ran head first into a series of bootloops. I ended up flashing miui about 4 times altogether.
Revenge os is not for me, maybe. The lineage based "iode os" actually worked but that microg thing frustrated my life
I think I'll just flash stable eu rom and enjoy my device |
Phones › Re: ### Xiaomi Thread For Tweaking Of Phones & Help Spot ### by abdsamad(m): 12:22pm On Oct 15, 2020 |
GrandMufti: Follow the instructions as given by the developer. Search your device's group or the rom's telegram group for the firmware zip file and other required files.
Flash the recommended gapps as posted in your screenshot.
Wipe as shown only if you are switching to an entirely different rom.
Wipe Dalvik and cache only if you intend to update your rom Thank you sir |
