I watched the NTA Network News coverage of President Buhari's visit to the United States of America for the Nuclear Summit on 31st March, 2016. Obama did not even meet him either at the airport or at the event - at least from what I just saw. Only the Secretary of State, Senator Kerry did.

Am I feeling embarrassed for Nigeria? Yes . . .

Why is Nigeria "irrelevant" in the international community?

How can we make Nigeria great again?

We are having issues in the first place because of politics. We should run the economy as business and not as political welfare. Our ethical orientation, consumption pattern and feeding bottle economics combined to put us where we are today. What the President is saying is revised growth forecast. Even Saudi revised its budget. Other economies like Venezuela, Algeria, Argentina and Brazil are also feeling the pinch.
With due respect to you, I still do not know how renaging on promises and commitments made in order to get into power equates to a revised growth forcast. They should have thought of the implications of what they were saying before spewing them out in public, only to come (after they have captured power) and deny making those promises or boldly telling us that they will not fulfil them. Nigerians are not stu'pid

In business, forecasts are revised when prospects are curtailed. No big deal.
What is this one saying? Our 'elected' political (not business) leaders are renaging on their promises at will not minding how Nigerians are faring and you come here and say it's no big deal? *smh*

A searchlight of investigation should be beamed on the recruitment process of all Federal Government agencies. The same trend of nepotism is prevalent. The so called 'big men' in Nigeria always get their kids and relatives the best employment slots everytime . . .

Proverbs 18:22: He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the LORD.

God doesn't give you a wife. You look for her. And when you find her (someone you're compatible with), you obtain favour from God
Proverbs 16:3 Commit your work (I.e. the "looking"wink unto the Lord and your plans shall succeed

Proverbs 3:7a [/b]Do not be wise in your own eyes . . .

This is why:

Aquariann:
Lawyer or Law student: Perhaps a career/profession he admires and respects and have always wanted to marry from the field. Personally if I have my way, I would marry a nurse or a medical doctor. Thanks to my mom, I've never been admitted in the hospital. What I'm trying to say is he has a reason.

Very tall: He might be short for a man and wouldn't want his kids that way. Personally I'm tall even as a guy, but I despise short ladies. With reason though, one being I'm yet to see one who isn't unnecessarily aggressive or always feels you're talking down on her or trying to intimidate her (during an argument) because of her height. Again, his choice

Both parents must be Catholic & Uhrobo by tribe: Religious and Cultural synergy. His choice. While I personally do not admire ladies from my tribe (several reasons for that), I wouldn't get married outside the Catholic church.

20 & 28 years : I wouldn't settle with a lady older than me. A very close female friend of mine, with just a few months on me is always quick to remind me we ain't mates whenever we have normal friend issues.

God fearing: Though clichéd, everyone desires a peaceful home. And the presence/love/fear of God in your lives is the first step in achieving a lovely marriage
Toh, good luck with all that
* In my experience, when it comes to marriage it is better to seek and submit to God's will. Insisting on your criteria might get you into trouble

Brunel:
Before going to service I had already determined not to taint my reputation and not to do any of those things.
Fast forward to when I got to my PPA - a mixed secondary school. Tales had it that corp members before me came and messed themselves up....one of the cases led to a fight between some students over a male corp member, well I immediately set up a riot act which I read to them before every class session

'Good morning class, today we are studying Maths, if you do not have a pen, borrow one, if you forgot your book, tear out a sheet of paper, if you missed the last class leave a space, if you don't have a book write on your palms, if you do not want to write leave the class, when I write, you must write do we have an agreement?' *their voice ringing in my head yes uncle!!*
this became a routine and the students sang to it with glee every morning.
the stubborn ones, I'd flog (in the presence of the class to serve as deterrent) after two warnings and tell to leave the class, one day a girl chose to be VERY stubborn, refused to write, refused to leave the class, refused to be flogged on her palms.....lol! I flogged her anyway, she then feigned some kind of sickness, thank God I was finally vindicated.

I already knew from the teachers that they had slept with some, if not most students and they 'encouraged' me to have a 'wife' amongst on of the students, thing is once you mess up with ONE, the whole school hears about it the very next day!!!! as corpers no kuku sabi their language!
I recall that I had at numerous times told some of the students SSS and JSS girls to button up as some whether mistakenly or otherwise leave their top buttons open, one particular girl was even bold enough to wink at me, that was the day I took action and flogged her in front of the class and unlike me, I didn't explain to the class what she did, lol. she hated me after that, understandably.

At the end of the service year a non-academic staff of the school came to tell me that she heard whispers going round that corper Brunel didn't try for them that he couldn't even pick one out of the whole school. that day laugh wan kill everyone for staff room!
I gave presents to my best students and it was a mutually emotional departure service they gave me, the first of it's kind ever in the school.

My advice is guys shouldn't take advantage of these gullible girls - treat them like younger sisters, some no dey baff well, some carry infections, plus a few minutes of pleasure should not be exchanged for your reputation and respect, what goes around comes around.

A post is enough for the wise. lol
Nice post. There is no substitute for integrity. God bless you!
