There is nothing like US doctors not having demanding schedules. The only exception might be if she has her own practice. Sometimes my brothers wife will work for 18 hrs straight and when she comes home she will just want to sleep. The upside is that they are very comfortable and have no kids right now. When kids come though, things will have to change.   Maybe someone else can give  you more insight than I have.

My brothers wife works in London though, I don't think Their work schedules are much different from US doctors

Well the more you contribute in a resonable manner on NL, the easier it will be for you to make friends. Why the desperation to make friends on Nl though? Don't you have friends offline??

My dear, I am fine. How have you been? Thank God it's almost Friday. So how about our Naija reunion plans na? I think ayetty and ebony will not be making it sha.

Umm Naija men have huge egos, so some of them might not be okay with their wives making more than them. My elder brothers wife is a medical doctor and he is an accountant. The only problem is that she is always working, Doctors have crazy schedules and Naija men like being babied. If you can handle doing some of the housework while wifey is working then you should have no problems.

I can most definitely marry a workaholic, my father is a hard worker, so I detest lazy men. Too much of everything is bad though, hubby would have to balance work and spending time with the family. It's quite appalling to see Naija men like odiaro wanting to date women for their money, what a turn off.

@ poster,  don't think it is bad as long as the husband and wife go together. I plan on clubbing with my hubby after marriage, after all being married does not mean we cannnot socialize and have fun.

Lol My dad sure ain't like you. He will never say anything as pessimistic as marriage is the beginning of the end. He is very wise, loved and very respected. If you get to be half the man my father is, then you will will have attained sucess, love and respect of your family and peers. I glad that u have perceived how proud I am to have the father I have. I too pray to marry a man just like my father.

Well u you just proved my point,  You only want to believe your own one sided point of view that's why you don't want to hear about my parents HAPPY marriage. There are sad stories all over Nl about broken homes and unhappy families, so stop that claptrap about people telling only good stories on a public forum.

Lol don't worry about my own future married life, I have had good role models. Can't say the same for you though. With your mentality being the way it is, I already feel sorry for your own future married life.
